We visited on a Sunday, so the wait time was quite long. Since we were in Waterton, this might be normal, but it was still a little uncomfortable to wait that long. The patio had a beautiful view of the lake, which made the setting very enjoyable.
The food overall was very good, but I felt the portions could be larger. I ordered a vegetable omelette, and the amount of vegetables inside was very minimal — just a few mushrooms. Compared to other places, I wouldn’t really call it a vegetable omelette because the vegetable portion was so small.
We also ordered pancakes with fruit, hoping for fresh fruit, but unfortunately all the fruit was frozen. It’s not very pleasant to have cold, thawing fruit straight from the freezer on top of a pancake.
The kids’ menu was a bit short and didn’t have many options.
One thing that could be improved is service. From the time we got our food until we finished, nobody checked on us to see if we needed anything — including no coffee refill.
Overall, it’s a nice place with great views and tasty food, but it could improve by increasing portion sizes, using fresh fruit for certain dishes, expanding the kids’ menu, and being more attentive to customers during the meal.
