Zum's Eatery & Mercantile

Their Fried Chicken is one of the best chickens I've eaten in Canada. They gave you three chicken that are really flavourful. The skin is crispy and the meat is juicy and tender. Their gravy on the mashed potato is also amazing but I wish there was more. Also as an asian, I'm loving the fact that they have rice as a side option! We also ordered Chicken Alfredo which is okay but not mindblowing. We got our order pretty quick so that made us really happy. The lady who cared for our table this dinner was very friendly and sweet as well. Adding to the beautiful patio and cheaper price compared to the other restaurans we saw nearby, Zum's is highly recommended. Update: Went back for lunch and ate inside and omg there were 5 flies terrorizing us. The chiken was also dry and more bones than meat unlike the perfect chicken we had when we came here for the first time. :(

Food: chicken was amazing. Perfect amount of crisp, flavourful and succulent. Chicken burger brought together some great flavours. Veggie burger was 10/10 great flavour, didn’t fall apart, texture was on point. Fries were also delicious but don’t come with your meal, you have to order separately. Service: professional and polite. Can be a bit slow and lacking attentiveness, however this isn’t the restaurant to expect wining and dining. Staff were chill keeping in tune with the vibe of the town. Atmosphere: great patio, inside is rustic and bright. Overall, if you’re needing a hardy meal that hits the spot. This is great option in town.

This is a very unique family style place. The prices are good and the food is good. I had the world famous fried chicken, which was good but a little bit under season for me. You should know that I’m from the south in America and we are used to spectacular fried chicken. The service was fantastic and the server was very nice. My wife had the tofu sandwich, but she seemed to enjoy quite well. Would I go back? Yes would I write home about it probably not

Go and check it out! Definitely great place to have a meal. The food came fast, everything was good and yummy, I ordered their famous fried chicken and never regret! Especially we liked the atmosphere and decor.

Came for lunch and got a table right away. The staff were friendly and the service was fast. We tried the burgers and fried chicken, and everything was really good. It’s a busy spot, but perfect for a quick and satisfying lunch!

Stopped by Zum’s Eatery while in Waterton. The service itself was okay. Staff were polite and did their job but the overall experience wasn’t great. There were a lot of flies inside, which made it hard to enjoy the meal. The food was just okay, nothing that really stood out but edible. Honestly, the flies really took away from the experience, and for that reason I probably wouldn’t rush back.

Ate here twice during our stay near Waterton. It's a great place that offers amazing food for a good price. The first day, we ordered their famous fried chicken. It was okay. The serving was generous, but I thought it was a tad salty. The second day, we ordered burgers. Those were really delicious. The patties were grilled properly, and the buns did not become soggy. We also had their deep fried pickles - highly recommend! Both times, the service was exemplary. The restaurant was so busy because of Labor Day weekend, but everyone was nice and helpful. Definitely visit Zum's if you are in Waterton!

We visited here on our recent vacation. Food: 1. I ordered their famous fried chicken which was served with salad. The portion of my meal was generous but the chicken was too salty. 2. My hubby ordered a chicken burger, his party was smaller than the bun and found that the salad served to me was layered in his burger. 3. My friend ordered a Caesar salad and loved it but the server forgot to serve it with a slice of garlic bread which made him wait for a bit. Atmosphere: We chose the place since it looked pretty with a lake view but the smell of the food was prominent. Price: It is more affordable than surrounding restaurants in the town which offer a similar Dine in experience. Overall it was an average experience and I wouldn’t prefer to go back.
