Traditional german restaurant with average food. Very good service. Very family friendly. Cannot judge on hotel rooms.

I had a pleasant stay at Gasthof Zur Guten Quelle. Overall, everything was good — the service was nice and the location is really convenient. Google Translate definitely helped, since the staff doesn’t speak English, but it all worked out fine.

Cozy place to eat, staff was very friendly and forthcoming, I had the veggie plate and I liked it. Not too many other vegetarian options though.

Stopped for one night and had a terrific experience. Quaint, cozy place in the heart of town. The room was standard - clean, moderately sized, with a comfortable bed and average bathroom. The staff really made this place, though! Though we only spoke limited German and they only spoke limited English, they were extremely kind and went out of their way to make the stay memorable. The food is also quite good, and the breakfast (for those who stay at the Guesthouse) is prepared specially for each guest. Recommended!

Everything is fine. Very pleasant hosts. High standard restaurant but reasonable prices. A bit difficult to drive up because the hotel is in the center. we were given the opportunity to park the car near the hotel for 4 euros. best recommendations!

This guesthouse doesn't receive much attention, but if the price is right it is certainly worth a visit, especially if you'd like a change from standard hotel chains. Rooms are clean, quite basic, and very spacious. Breakfast is good, in my opinion, though as there aren't many rooms it probably looks as if there is less choice than there is: apart from the eggs (mentioned by other reviewers), there was the usual selection of ham, cheese, herring, and some rather tasty bread. The restaurant is good too, and the local beer, even more so.||The location is perfect, and the town is quiet, pleasant, and very attractive. We used the Schwerin as a base for visiting Mecklenburg, and it worked perfectly.

This was a good choice for a three night stay whilst on a cycling tour. We were slightly concerned on arrival since the hotel has nowhere secure outside to store bicycles, but the staff promised to look after them and actually brought them indoors each night, which we appreciated. Our room was comfortable and clean and we thought that breakfast was more than adequate. Staff were professional and helpful and tolerant of our limited German skills. We had one evening meal here, which was very good. The place is always busy, which is also a good sign. It's position was a real bonus - near the Schloss and other attractions and also not far from the train station. We would stay here again.

I have there only for one night, and I can tell that they are really very nice and friendly people. The restaurant has authentic german food, I have ate Eisbein and was delicious. The beergarten is really cosy and litle. The room was clean and comfortable. The prices are fare.||It is ideal to stay, just right in center.

Best steak I've had in a while, really good service and very reasonable. Highly recommend.

This nice restaurant has nice outdoor as well as indoor seating. I ordered the zanderfillet plate and my husband a schweinhaxe, both really delicious! We both ordered white wine from Weight Werner and they are both really tasty. The waitress was friendly, the price is really good for the quality food. Overall it was great dinning experience here.
