Restaurant Review:I wanted to express my gratitude for the exceptional dining experience we had at your restaurant last night. Despite the bustling and crowded environment, the service was outstanding, and the meal was absolutely delicious. A special thank you to our waiter, Ali, who handled everything perfectly with grace and efficiency. His attentive service made our evening truly enjoyable. We look forward to returning soon!

Restaurant review: delicious food, very interesting menu. Would go back for the food. They brought an affogato without coffee and made a couple of other mistakes. The interior is traditional and cozy, quite packed, and the terrace is nice, on the main square.

This review is only about the food & restaurant. Which was amazing! I can't believe other Americans always hate on German cuisine. We had (3) dishes and loved them all. Schnitzel was delicious, the Käsespeztle and other cheesy noodles we had were out of this world. We definitely hope to come back to Marburg and try this place again!! Life changing meal lol. Zur Sonne, I see the light!

Visited the restaurant for lunch. It was wonderful. The atmosphere was cosy and welcoming. The food was AMAZING! Fresh and homemade. We were a big group and ordered multiple different dishes. Every single one was delicious. They also have an entire section on the menu with vegan and vegatarian options. The location is also perfect in the Altstadt looking over the town square, what more can one want. Definitely worth a visit!

A really quaint, romantic hotel with cosy, tastefully furnished rooms. A room with a view of the medieval Rathausplatz square is definitely worth it. Every hour on the hour, you can hear the singing of a rooster who must be doing something for his vocal chords. In the upper town, you immediately feel transported back to the Middle Ages, with all the comforts of modern times.

Located in the heart of Marburg among so beautiful places I was bit doubting if it would be a touristic trap but because of the good reviews I decided to give it a try. Not only i didn't regret but i had one of the best schnitzels I ve ever tasted and I have tried so Many. Big portions delicious buttery fried schnitzel and the baked potatoes. Friendly staff, quick service. For sure recommended

Lovely little half timbered building on the main Markt in this very historic town center of Marburg. Quite a ride to get up there, but once you're there, it's worth the drive through narrow and busy shopping streets. The hotel is very old, partially renovated (not the stairs and hallways) and the rooms are full of original antiques and very simple and quaint. No TV, no radio, no A/C, not very spacious, but certainly adequate for the "adventurous" traveler. And a lovely Italian restaurant at the ground level, plus an excellent breakfast buffet (sort of standard in Germany, we find). Because we were there in the dead of summer and the weather was rather hot, the rooms tended to be a little hot also. Even with windows open it remained too warm.

Yelp
Das Essen war wirklich großartig und lecker und die Kellner waren sehr nett. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen und die anderen Gerichte probieren.

Yelp
Went for a business dinner in a private room. Only issue was waiter claimed/acted as tho he didn't speak English but his service was otherwise excellent. Menu and location also wonderful. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Good food on the plaza in front of the Rathaus. The waiter was very helpful and attentive as we did not speak German.
