Lovely little half timbered building on the main Markt in this very historic town center of Marburg. Quite a ride to get up there, but once you're there, it's worth the drive through narrow and busy shopping streets. The hotel is very old, partially renovated (not the stairs and hallways) and the rooms are full of original antiques and very simple and quaint. No TV, no radio, no A/C, not very spacious, but certainly adequate for the "adventurous" traveler. And a lovely Italian restaurant at the ground level, plus an excellent breakfast buffet (sort of standard in Germany, we find). Because we were there in the dead of summer and the weather was rather hot, the rooms tended to be a little hot also. Even with windows open it remained too warm.
