Zurich Marriott Hotel

Within walking distance from the train station. Adjacent to the designated swimming area of the Limmat River. Excellent bartenders at the lobby Lennox Bar. The M-Club has a decent breakfast; I prefer the coffee there versus what is provided in the rooms. Fitness center is adequate and they even have a locker room with showers and a sauna. As of Feb 2026, they are renovating rooms in the main tower; the north building may be a shade quieter during this period.

I had a junior suite and it was roomy. Usual Marriott amenities and the nightly turndown gift was a nice touch. When I asked for more lighting as the room as comfortable but dimly lit for video conferencing, housekeeping showed up with additional lamps. Bed was comfortable and clean. A little weird to not have an actual desk to work from. The small high table sufficed after k dragged it closer to power outlets. My room had USB and USB-C outlets so I didn’t even have to use my little Swiss adapter. ||We had business meetings in the hotel and the meeting was very comfortable. Meal services were good too. ||Thai food in the hotel was authentic and the breakfast was sufficient. Elevators are a little slow and checking in for breakfast was tedious as they cross checked with name/room. Finally I had issues with temperature control in my room - prefer it much cooler but the thermostat didn’t agree.

We are currently visiting from Australia and have been staying at the Marriott for 5 days. Firstly I am very impressed with the location of the hotel close to the station and many bus tours. All the staff have been so kind and helpful, assisting us in booking the chocolate Lindt factory tour and other general enquires. The rooms are always spotless even my kids stating how do the staff clean them so quickly as we never saw them. The breakfast buffet was delicious and we were always greeted with smile and chat. My family really enjoyed our home away from home and highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed at the Marriott in Zurich and honestly, we had a great time here. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, not the fake polite type. Everything just felt easy with them. The location is perfect. We walked everywhere — the lake, old town, shops, and there are a bunch of really good restaurants close by. You don’t feel isolated at all. It’s super convenient. Breakfast was good, fresh, and the team working there were just as welcoming. The room was clean, comfortable, and actually relaxing to come back to after being out all day. Overall, this hotel made the trip better. No stress, no issues, just a smooth stay. I’d definitely book here again next time we’re in Zurich.

Solid Marriott. Location is good close to public transit. Friendly front desk. Lounge staff is extremely hospitable and hours are great l, especially for happy hour. Breakfast was very nice. One suggestion would be to include public transit pass similar to the Basel Marrriot.

This property is great on almost levels. Most if not all of the property felt refreshed. The Jr. Club Suite on the corner was more than adequate. Housekeeping did a wonderful job. Room amenities were as expected. The M Club was great with a very hard-working and pleasant crew (contrary to some reviews here). People need to remember this is a Marriott and not a JW or Ritz. Breakfast in the restaurant was outstanding, again thanks to the delightful team working there. Location of the hotel is also excellent, near the main train station and only a short 15-20 walk from all the dining and shopping “action.” ||When I said “great on almost all levels” - the one real pain in the neck are the very small elevators for a building of this size, the large tour groups in residence, and thus the sometimes lengthy waits to travel between floors. You sometimes had to wait for 10 minutes or more to get to the lobby, as the cabs would open on each floor as called, only to be completely full or worse yet, reserved by the bell staff to transport tour group luggage between floors. Many guests were quite frustrated and unhappy at times. ||All that being said, I recommend this property and would stay again if ever in the Zurich city center.

The Zurich Marriott Hotel is a top-tier choice for travelers who value efficiency and proximity to the city's main transit hub. Beautiful entrance and lobby to sit in. Staff at check in are very helpful. Room was spacious and comfortable. Note that everything in the display counter is not free; only coffee and tea. Food in the lobby floor bar seemed freshly prepared. All in all, a nice place to rest.

!!! STAY AWAY !!! What others won't show you, but is SADLY TRUE about Marriott Zurich (with proof!) Tattered chain-link fences, graffiti and construction (expected to last MANY years) made for a TERRIBLE tourist destination (see pics for yourself). Unsupervised children running wild & screaming throughout their "exclusive" M lounge. They also managed to lose, then find/send our luggage to the wrong room. This place offers garbage views all around and some staff appears trained to treat you accordingly. The real shock came when we were charged nearly 2500 for an extra night our family didn't even stay here! Terrible customer service from the only "manager" on duty (Alexander Zimprich... an assistant) who, after refusing to escalate for review to his absentee superiors (Markus Anhuth / Daniel Lehmann), brought up "following policy" as if "just following orders" is acceptable policy vs. accurately billing for services rendered. Lovely shower, though it didn't wash away the feeling of aloofness, neglect & dismissal when insultingly offered 150 in "points" to address what should be an easily correctable 2500 billing error. These folks are neutral about everything... except refunding customers when incorrectly charged for services they didn't actually provide. Their "M" may as well stand for "Mismanagement", as staff do not seem empowered to make fair & good faith decisions, even for Lifetime Platinum Elite customers. If they tell you to "jump in the river", instead of referring to their local custom... that may simply be their response to your customer service request lol Management is welcome to refute any facts stated here, but they won't... because it's all dismally true. OVERALL: Amateurs running a disheveled location geared towards CONFERENCES that treat TOURISTS poorly and refuse to respect the Average Joe's hard-earned time & money. YOUR BEST BET: Find a superior motel locally (easily for a better price) to enjoy beautiful Zurich. Safe travels friends!

this was the absolute best Marriott (or any hotel) i have ever stayed at!! a close second was the JW Marriott across from Staples center in Downtown Los Angeles Rooms were so clean and cozy staff was so incredibly friendly and helpful M Lounge was incredible!!! I loved Zurich and I know that when i return i will 100% stay here again.

Great hotel but they are renovating so we got stuck in the towers which was kind of a jaunt. I wish we could have been warned about renovations as we would have opted to look elsewhere. Breakfast in the AM is mediocre but fine. It is very clean and has friendly service.

Echo restaurant we decided TobytushLng Swiss food hence went to this upscale restaurant at the Marriott Hotel We received a nice greeting and were assigned to a table Waited a bit until the waitress finally paid l attention to us abd we ordered wine and water Has to request gluten free bread for my wife We ordered our dinner and the cheese fondue arrived about 20 minutes later as they told us they had to warm the gluten free bread We enjoyed the Swiss fondue Waited over 45 minutes for any attention updates or anything before we were served my principal plate and my wife received both the salad and soup at the same time Ridiculous serving arrangement as the soup got cold while she ate the salad The service to be kind was spotty if not simply bad Not acceptable for a high rated high price place to simply not pay attention to for a long period of time The restaurant was basically empty and the staff was preparing for the next day Service needs much improvement Food is exceptional

Beautiful hotel-friendly service- new rooms- Close to trains within walking distance. We had a beautiful, newly redecorated beautiful (clean ) room. It was a very large hotel, with attentive staff, and club access available (it seemed to be significantly picked over or gone each time we went), but overall we enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay here if we came back one day.

If I could give a 10 rating to this particular, Marriott, I would... From the moment we walked in as tire travelers they did everything in their power to make us feel comfortable. They wished our luggage away Rodas into a beautiful corner window room on the 33rd floor. Beautiful desserts, waiting for us with fresh water from the Swiss Alps We were able to enjoy some very unique and delicious Thai food in the restaurant called elephant . We recommend if you can to have dinner at this restaurant food is divine .. It's a little bit difficult across the street to get to the Marriott from one side. It's a large property which is very nice. . They offer umbrellas as you're walking out the door, which we need it on our first day.. The rooms are so clean and pristine, and gorgeous and quiet very very quiet . I would say the staff is what makes it really a 10* for breakfast. We enjoyed a full international breakfast. They had a congee section which we did not have. However, we had everything else from omelettes to yogurt to the most delicious pastries, and some of their authentic Zürich Honey, which I highly recommend you purchase before you leave this beautiful city. I really don't know what else to say other than thank you so much Marriott Saric we will be back ...

The only full service Marriott hotel in Zürich, I did not stay here but visited with my friend for several hours. I am a Titanium-for-Life elite in the Marriott Rewards program but wasn't interested in spending big money for my stay this time. The property is absolutely top notch from start to finish. Beautiful entrance lobby. Comfortable room (we had five of us partying there my last night in Zürich) and on the top floor, an amazing wrap around balcony. Woo! The lift is secured, which is nice. You must swipe your room key for the elevator to open on that floor. Executive lounge is excellent. Great snacks and free wine/beer. Though I hope that you'll have better luck with people NOT bringing their toddler into the otherwise quiet lounge. Ugh. Multiple entrances, all but one are closed. You'll need to enter through the ground floor along Neumühlequai. It is a half kilometer walk along the Limmat from the Hauptbahnhof. There isn't a more convenient tram stop nearby. I was extremely grateful to the staff for allowing me to check-in several hours early. The customer service was great here and there are several restaurants to choose from in this hotel. I walked here from the train station with a few roller bags. It wasn't close but not far, about a 15 minute walk. This hotel is not exactly in the city center and there are not many great restaurant options close by from the hotel. Fortunately there are food options in the hotel. The room was a standard room with a refrigerator that was stocked with overpriced beverages to purchase. No complaints about the accommodations. The air conditioning unit met my expectations. This could have been a five star experience if the hotel was located in the city center. The taxi ride to the airport is about 15 minutes and was 45 Swiss Francs.

Excellent service from each worker, exceptional views & a clean, large, comfortable room. Perfect accessible location to walk to all the city happenings of shopping, dining, and sightseeing. Very good food at the hotel as well. Great lilacs to stay.

I would 1000% recommend this hotel! It is centrally located/walking distance from the Zürich HB aka train station, the M Lounge is incredible, and overall the service is great. I stayed in the second tower and had a corner room. It was a great size and a nice view. This hotel is also fun as they have their own bee garden and sell the honey that the bees make.

Convenient location on the river, walking distance to town center and trains. The lobby bar/restaurant offers healthy food options and cocktails. There is a small fitness center with cardio and weight training equipment. Staff was very service oriented and concierge was helpful with area guidance.

The Zürich Marriott is very nice, great staff, very clean, nice location. You can see a view of the Alps on a clear day from certain view points! The ECHO Restaurant was wonderful! Service by Florian, Cara, and Anastasia was excellent and our meal of Venison Filet was outstanding! Very happy to highly recommend this restaurant even if you do not stay at the hotel. Top Notch!

This is probably the nicest Marriott I've stayed in while traveling. I really do recommend this hotel. I had a car while in Zurich as I was driving to Hirzel for business daily. I was able to park the Alfa Romeo crossover ever day without issue- just don't forget to pay your parking before trying to exit. Overall the room was very clean and efficient. This is OUS, so the rooms are smaller than traditional US spaces, but the room had everything one could need and was very well decorated. The hotel stay included breakfast every morning. Their buffet spread was amazing. They had traditional American breakfast foods in addition to charcuterie selections. I appreciated that the fruit was not just melon and grapes. The WiFi was quick and the staff was very accommodating both at the front desk and in the restaurants located within this property. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would return to this property even just to spend more time exploring Zurich as a city.

Nice centrally located Marriott in Altstadt (old city part). Attentive, and very helpful friendlier staff. The quieter comfortable king room with a nice view, we had paid something extra for. This was looking to the south city & Lake Zürich. It also included the M lounge access with a nicer coffee machine and even a full hot breakfast (no alcoholic drinks - 0 flr). Recommend this hotel, a very walkable 8-10 mins. from the Zürich HB main SBB railway station. Bus and tram nearby. Some classic quality Swiss restaurants close by. We'd come back. Bring your big wallet!

This is a big Marriott without a lot of character that essentially checks all the boxes, so if that is what you're looking for/expecting, this hotel will probably meet your expectations. That said, I didn't have the best experience and probably wouldn't stay here again. First the good. The hotel is not as central as some of the hotels in Zurich, but it is within walking distance (a mile or so) of most of the major tourist spots (old town, the lake, the train station, the big shopping street, and the various old buildings/churches people like to look at). The breakfast was also pretty good and I think free for everyone (I ate in the lounge, but assume quality is similar throughout). The hotel seems old, but it is relatively well maintained and clean (unlike some Marriotts I've stayed at). Next the ok. The room we had was comically small, which I assume was my fault. I booked a queen because it was cheapest (crossing my fingers for an upgrade which didn't come), but didn't realize I had booked a "smaller" room. I won't hold this against the hotel, but it turns out a queen sized bed in Europe is not the same size as one in the US and I guess Marriott just uses stock photos of beds (the picture on my reservation was of a bed significantly bigger than the one I had). The staff was nice, but with some exceptions it felt like they were hostages reading from a script. Next, we had wanted to do laundry, but they had no bulk option and the prices seemed expensive even for a hotel (it was close to $10 for a pair of underwear and a load of laundry would have approached $200; we just bought some more clothes). Finally, I thought it was weird they added twenty floors to the building; we were on "floor 27", but as far I could tell we were actually on the 7th floor (there are no floors 5 through 23). The thing that I really didn't like is that the staff seemed to completely ignore the privacy sign for the room. Since the room was so small and we had a short stay, we didn't want the room cleaned (since our suitcases took up almost the entire floor). We specifically told the desk this (since they gave out points if you did) and left the privacy sign on. The first day they came in anyway while my girlfriend was in the shower. I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt that the privacy sign fell off, but afterwards we made it clear that we didn't want them coming in (particularly when the privacy sign is on the door!). Despite that, they came in again on our last day and cleaned the room and this time took the privacy sign with them. I found the entire thing creepy and off-putting.

I stayed at this hotel with my mom and we had a fabulous experience! From check in to check out, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. Zurich was a snowy winter wonderland when we arrived, and the warm punch at check in was the perfect welcome. :) Thank you to Sonia S-H for the wonderful rooms! We appreciated all of your help and thoughtfulness. Our rooms were very quiet, clean, and extremely comfortable. We really had the best stay because of you. I want to also recognize Ferenc the front office intern, Fyllis, Kim, and Pip, who all provided outstanding customer service! Also the guest service gentleman in the lobby with brown hair, he was kind enough to recommend all of the prime Christmas market locations and even brought me some Ricola drops. And not to forget Natasa, who was able to book us a reservation for eCHo restaurant on short notice, when they were already completely booked up! Can't thank you enough! You all are amazing! We had the best meal at eCHo restaurant inside the hotel and I highly recommend it. The fondue was fantastic, and it was a great way to end our trip. Our waiters Cara and Florien were the main reason we went back a second time. They were a blast! As a Titanium member, I have very high standards and this hotel exceeded all of them. I sincerely hope to stay again soon.

We booked the Marriott for our first night knowing we could count on the beds to be comfortable after 24 hrs of travel - which was prolonged due to delays. Although the beds were nice - and linens of Marriott quality - the hotel is old and has that smell about it. And the smell was everywhere in the hotel - from the lobby to the room. We had a bite at the bar which unfortunately is an odd set up and there was a local group of people in the lounge having a party or celebration of sorts that were quite loud - the place isn't set up to allow for peaceful more quiet pleasant eating experiences from the more loud groups and parties. Note that there are two ways to go from the train station to walk to the hotel - if you go the main road it will be much smoother to bring your luggage - we took the "shorter" route and suggested route when we mapped it - and you'll find yourself on gravel paths. It was hard to get past the aroma to give this hotel a better rating

We arrived after a long flight. Adrian and his team at the Marriott were so helpful with all the details. We are so grateful for a wonderful stay.

Love my stay at Marriott Zurich! Conveniently located around 10 minute walk from the Zurich Central Station. Grab a taxi though if you have a lot of luggage, money worth spent. The lounge is one of the best I have been to! The spread during cocktail hours just amazing. I ended up getting full snacking here and could just skip dinner! For Breakfast it was equally as good! Now I am so spoiled and this lounge had set the standard when I visit other Marriott around the World. The Double Beds Room we stayed in was clean, modern and well appointed! So spacious in European standard. Since Marriott is the tallest structure in the area, you can really have a good birdeye's view of the area. Staff here is professional and courteous. I can tell they are proud to be the part of Marriott Zurich. Great business hotel and good as a base to explore Zurich and surrounding area. I will be back next time when I am in town!

We loved our stay and recommend this hotel *very highly* to anyone who plans to stay in Zürich. Here are a few random comments and observations: 1. We stayed in the North Tower and have the impression that the rooms in this building are superior to the rooms in the main tower. 2. Our bathroom had a heated floor -- this was great! 3. The temperature control in our room had no absolute numbers -- we couldn't set the temperature to be 20.5 degrees, for example. There was a neutral mark that corresponded to the temperature recommended by the hotel and marks further clockwise for higher temperatures or counterclockwise for lower temperatures. This took some getting used to, but it worked well. 4. The breakfast buffet on the first floor (which was included in our room rate) was absolutely fantastic. I *loved* the breakfasts. Any place in Switzerland with a congee station gets my vote. The espresso, fruit, smoked fish and soft-boiled eggs were all fantastic. A special shoutout goes to staff member Chao, who made us feel at home when she was on duty in the breakfast area. 5. The workout room on the third floor was perfectly fine. I used the stationary bikes and the striders. One can watch CNN (or other channels) on the screen as one exercises. There are apples (at least in the morning) and a machine that dispenses flat and sparkling water. 6. There is free lobby coffee in the morning until 9AM. The coffee comes from a self-service espresso machine, which made a palatable drink. (I'm pretty sure that this particular machine uses low-level coffee beans. The machine in the first-floor breakfast room oozes delicious shots of coffee.)

This hotel is one of the best in Zurich, hands down. I started here for two weeks and feel in love with everything from location near the lake and the view from my room. I will be in Zurich and I will definitely be staying here again. The stuff is very friendly. Couldn't ask for better service. Absolutely loved it

Maybe the hotel is old. I've had issues with a long stay here. - Lots of people smoke in the building so smoke comes in the room (through pipes? not sure but in the mornings is smells like smoke) - Internal fixtures were broken. - AC/Heat is a 1980's thermostat with no temperature setting just a dial for hot and cold. (good luck guessing when it will turn on) - Drapes block the sun great - pillows are standard hotel pillows - great location - staff is super professional - food is delicious (3 different internal restaurants)

The hotel is beautiful, the restaurants are very good, the club access was a great experience and our suite/floor was amazing! We were very impressed overall with our stay at this hotel. Even more so, the front desk/concierge went above and beyond when one of our family members left an ipad in our room after we had checked out - they expedited its return! We were amazed!

We received such warm and friendly service from beginning to end of our stay. The hotel wasn't in the center of the city, but it's walking distance to the train station and not too far from Altstadt and Bahnhofstrasse. The room was clean, big and quiet. Also, our room had US plugs which was an added bonus. It was a great way to conclude our trip. I would love to stay here again.

My most favorite hotel in Zurich, great for business trips. It's not right in the city centre but still in a walking distance and close to the airport. Breakfast is just amazing!

Very nice well maintained older building. Location is nice as you can walk to old town, train and bus station in less than 10 min . Our room was nice but the mattress was Not to my liking . The M lounge is really well done and the staff over the moon good. Did not get to eat at the two really nice restaurants in the hotel due to work schedule change. It's located next the hospital so you have the Jason Bourne sirens all hours. I really liked the place overall !

When I stayed in Zurich for a weekend, I decided to stay here. I am glad I did! The hotel is modern and clean, the rooms are very nice for a Marriott, and the service is great too. It has a fairly central location as well. I like the views from the rooms too. I highly recomend if you are staying in Zurich and are a Marriott member.

The staff was hit or miss. Some of the folks were great and some were just simply rude... I liked the room and the folks that were helpful were really helpful so I'll give them 4 stars instead of 3. Good location near the train station.

X marks the spot: This Marriott is within walking distance of central Zurich, the train hub and next to the river. The holy Trinity of locations. Took a train from the airport to Zurich HB and then 7 min walk to the hotel. (Walk out of the main exit, look to your left the sign will guide you). The minions: Warm, welcoming, helpful. They really understand service and hospitality. Thank you! The Lions den: I was upgraded to the suite which had a breath taking view of Zurich. Very likely the biggest room I've stayed in, certainly one of the more memorable. The room was clean and comfortable. This alone gets the high five even if the rest of the hotel was terrible (which it absolutely wasn't). The cherry on top: The executive lounge is intimate but stocked in goodies. Breakfast, dinner and in between. Located on the first floor, it's really continent to get water or anything else getting in or heading out. Hopefully will have an opportunity to return!

I travel a lot for work and I have been to all kind of hotels in the globe but this hotel disappointed me in many levels. I always put the PRIVACY sign on my door when I check in and do not remove it until the day I leave. The staff of this hotel came to my room regardless of the PRIVACY sign. They even knocked on the door early in the morning while the sign was still on. If you value your privacy and belongings- look else where. There are plenty of hotels. I have complained to the manager and the front desk but this morning the cleaning staff came again. I felt violated and if I leave my stuff in the bathroom or on my bed a certain way it's because that's how I want it. I hate it when people touch my stuff without my permission and it happened repeatedly in this hotel even though I have asked repeatedly not to come in my room and again I have the Privacy door tag on the entire time. If you are like me I would say don't bother coming to this hotel. The cleaning staff will ignore your privacy door tag and will still come inside your room. It's a beautiful hotel but I felt like someone has violated my privacy. What if I was in the shower or changing and the cleaning crew decided to come in. This was very unprofessional. I don't even know if any of my stuff is stolen or missing yet and if it is to be honest I will not be surprised.

I love this hotel. It is stunning. We were in the Presidential suite, so I don't know what a regular room looks like. Our room was beyond amazing, a full living room, large bedroom and 2 bathrooms. Our balcony wrapped around the entire room. The view was breathtaking. Hotel staff members were friendly and accommodating. Now, the concierge lounge. A-MAZ-ING the food was excellent. It is only supposed to be snacks, but there were nights when we didn't even need dinner after eating. The snacks and deserts were some of the best that I've seen at a Marriott. The location of this hotel is great too, it is a 5 minute walk to the train station which is right at the edge of where the city starts. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel if you are staying in Zurich.

On a recent, unexpected layover our airline booked us at the Marriott. We have stayed here before on pleasure, and it was a welcome place to return. The room was large with a nice view and a balcony. It's a quick walk from the train station and offers several dining options from Thai to Swiss. The lounge is really wonderful. We have access as platinum Marriott members but if the buy up is an option, your likely to get your money's worth. We enjoyed breakfast, drinks, snacks and heavy snacks with free flowing wine and beer. I think hard spirits are extra, but the local beer and wine on the bar made happy hour fun and great chance to try the local beverages.

New update. I reviewed last week but am retracting that. This is my 5th time here, and they have treated me great. Very well trained staff. Excellent service. Good food, espresso drinks, and wine in the lounge. I got my room upgrade, as well as complimentary wine and cheese to my room. Love the location 5 minutes walk to Bahnhofstrasse, and my room overlooking the Limmat ( you must take a swim!). I'd love to stay here more frequently!

Great hotel, and while not in the center of the city, it is at least in a quiet area and only a 10 minute walk from the train station. My room was spacious and clean, with a beautiful view of the hillside. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The bar is great, nice bartenders, and while I only had breakfast in the restaurant, it was good and they have many items to choose from. All in all, a great hotel in Zurich!

Beautiful hotel in central Zurich. Perfect location, very close to the main train station. Also, they provided great service all around! It was the first time we stayed at this hotel and they upgraded us to a suite - they said its something they do for all first timers. Awesome perk! The breakfast at the lounge had a wide variety of hot foods, cold cuts, fruit and fresh juices. Highly recommend this hotel to others!

I loved this hotel for many reasons. The standard US outlet helped. Room was nice and quiet. Spacious for European standards. Great shower, large comfortable bed, and I had fabulous views. I had access to the lounge; major plus. Being able to eat breakfast for free (and honestly, I ate dinner in here a few nights for free) is a huge plus in expensive Switzerland). You are walking distance from everything. I took the train from the airport and it was a short 6 minute walk to the hotel along the small river to get to the Marriott. I also walked to the shopping areas easily (both old down and luxury shopping). Near the Swiss National Museum as well. I would definitely stay here again. Fabulous and friendly staff.

The cleaning crew stole over $250 from my purse that was left in the room and the hotel did nothing about it. I have been traveling around Europe for 30 days in some questionable areas and I have never had anything stolen until I stayed here. I expected more from the Marriott.

I have enjoyed my stay mostly. The restaurant and lounge were excellent. The foods were tasty and the staffs were friendly and professional. The hotel looks nice but obviously has been aging. Although there are some new decoration but the piping system obviously is old. When I fist checked in, I got a room everything looked great. However I heard some kind clicking noise every 1 min. At first I thought it was from outside the room. But later I realized it was from the ceiling. I called the "at your service" and they sent a technician. He explained it was from some kind water pump to take care of the waste and only this room had this issue. He could either try to fix it or I could request to switch the room. I called the front desk and requested to switch to a different room then I went to the lobby. The concierge lady did offered me a different room but she kept saying there was no such noise in the hotel. Even I said the technician was in the room and he could hear it too. I don't know why she kept denying but she did offer me a new room. One morning I heard some kind leaking sound and realized there was water dripping from the ceiling. I called the "at your service" again. The technician showed up with a box. Apparently it was the water accumulated by the AC and the pipe was clogged. He let the water in the pipe flowed into the box he brought. However at 2am that night, I was woken up by the water leaking sound. I called the front desk explained what happened. The front desk person immediately understood and said he could fix it by himself. He showed up with a box and had the same fix. He explained it happened several times a week in the hotel when the humidity was high and AC would leak water. I did appreciate the night shift front desk person fixed it for me. However I think it should be the hotel management's job to get it fixed for the whole facility.

The Marriott Zurich is a conveniently located and a nicely up to date hotel. It's everything you expect from a well-run Marriott including the friendly, service-minded staff! The executive lounge is well-stocked all day long and open 24 hours. They have two very good restaurant choices also with my favorite being the Echo (Swiss food) and it's all you can drink wine bar (yes, I said wine bar!!). It's a great value in an otherwise pretty expensive city. Solid 4 stars and will be my go to business hotel when I am in Zurich.

This is a very solid business hotel, with a few quirks. I recently spent seven nights here on business, and I'd definitely stay there again (at least until the company will pay for the Park Hyatt -- not in this life). LOCATION I found the location quite convenient, at least to my work. The hotel is also a few minute walk along the river (very pretty) to the Bahnhofstrasse, the train station, the old town area, et cetera. I never took public transit so I can't comment, but it is close to the train station (which has trains to the airport). The hotel is also well-located for a jog. The hotel has maps in the fitness center of jogging routes along the river (though you could probably figure it out on your own). My favorite was to run along the river down to the lake, back through the old town, and then past the hotel a bit. ROOMS The room is a very standard Marriott room. All the comforts you need and rely upon the brand for. Good, but nothing special. But no special European "quirks" (read: cold shower, weird bidet, tiny sink, shower that sprays onto the toilet, etc etc etc) either. AMENITIES The restaurant Echo is pretty good, and has a good Fr. 69 menu with three courses and unlimited wine. The exec lounge is very nice, and has free wine and a great breakfast (saving you Fr. 40). The fitness center is nice, and the equipment is quality. Very happy with the setup. Room service is incredibly expensive, but fine. I spent Fr. 80 on three courses, delivered quickly, but nothing special here either. SERVICE Maaaaaybe it's because they are Swiss. The service here is just a bit odd. So conditioner. That stuff you put in your hair. Well, my five co-workers and I were talking, and we realized that you only get it if you're Marriott gold or above. Fr. 330 night and no conditioner! Us lowly Marriott silver members don't get it unless you ask. One co-worker asked, and suddenly a little bottle of conditioner appeared every morning. Very very odd, if you ask me. The staff also begin cleaning rooms frightfully early (before 9 am). Put your privacy sign up! The turndown service in the "evening" also starts sometime after noon. I was in the room at 1 PM or 3 PM or whatever and the maid would attempt to offer my turndown service (making the bed and leaving a couple of chocolates). Very odd as well. The concierge has good restaurant recommendations. The service at this place is slightly weird, but everything else about it is solid. I'll definitely be back (sadly -- Zurich itself is lacking).

For a Marriott it didn't disappoint. Even in Zurich where everything is crazy expensive it was pretty reasonably prices . Executive lounge was open 24/7 including on the weekends and they always had a nice selection of fresh fruit, salty snacks, and sweets. It was about an 8 minute walk to downtown which was totally doable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great experience!

The internet here is soo horrible , that anything else just does not count. For the amount of money you charge, a decent internet condition is no too much to provide. This opinion comes from a 10 day experience. I will not be back.

We booked this hotel through Priceline, and got an amazing rate. Despite being under renovation during our visit, the hotel was clean, spacious and beautiful, and our room was fantastic. The hotel has two restaurants in-house, and although I can't recommend white elephant, their Swiss restaurant (I can't recall the name) was great. Our room was large, spacious, clean and comfortable with central air and enough amenities to make for a great stay. It was the perfect home after a long day of sight seeing. We had two chief complaints, however. This first is that we were charged around $50 of mini-bar usage despite not having touched it. The charge appeared on my credit card a week after we checked out, and wasn't mentioned during our check out. A quick call to the front desk after we found the charge resolved the issue rather easily, but it was still a hassle we would have preferred not to go through and I can't help but think they did it as a way to try and make up some revenue from our cheap Priceline rate. Our second complaint is that it is just out of the way enough to be inconvenient. We walked everywhere, and it became a bit if a hassle to walk downtown from the room, enough that we ended up making less trips downtown than we otherwise would have (no casual trips to a cafe or for dinner, for example). As beautiful and comfortable as the hotel is, if we come back to Zurich we will make it a point to find a more central location to stay in.

The hotel itself was quite nice and modern. The doorman that seemed to be there 24/7 was really great. The executive club was above expectations. The issues were with the room. First it smelled terribly of smoke. The resolution they gave us was to crack the window. Next the AC was dripping and soaked the carpet. They did fix it relatively quickly. Lastly, even though we booked the room for three they did nothing to get it ready for three. Not enough towels, blankets, etc. I probably would not stay here again.

Fantastic customer service in every department. Starting pre-arrival via prompt and professional correspondence from Ms. Simone Schmid a manager at the hotel who confirmed our requests and had a very thoughtful toast in our room upon our arrival for our anniversary. The team at the front desk were superb as well, when the bell hop was tied up, they jumped in and helped instead of just waiting. The hotel is good, but what makes it special is it's staff. It's such a pleasure to see a good team in action!

We stayed at this hotel for the first night of our honeymoon and were treated with 5-star service all the way. From reception, to the surprise treat waiting for us when we got to our room, we will very happily remember our stay at this hotel and look forward to coming back next time life brings us to this beautiful city. Also, the bar in the restaurant was great late night for a nightcap cocktail and light appetizer and had a well traveled crowd.

This hotel was very nice for a Marriott! The staff was extremely friendly and the room we had was modern and clean. Bring your beach towel, right in front of the hotel and down the stairs, you will find a swimming hole where you can jump off the bridge into the lake water. When you are done swimming, you can grab a drink at dynamo (not listed or on the maps) and enjoy it by the water. The location of the hotel is very convenient. 8 minute walk to downtown, 5 minutes to the train station (Migros is downstairs in the train station. This is where you can pick up groceries), and several shops and restaurants nearby. The executive lounge is open 24/7 which have several snacks, bottled water, soda, and hot breakfast (starts at 6am). If you have platinum status, you will save money on bottled water. However, Zurich's tap water is clean and safe to drink. Some places you should visit that are nearby: FIFA museum, Swiss national museum, and lindenhof.
