Zurich Succulent Plant Collection

The small, beautifully arranged greenhouses are located right next to Lake Zurich and house an impressive collection of cacti and succulents. Even on a Saturday afternoon, the place wasn’t crowded and felt calm and relaxed. Entry is free, there’s plenty of parking available, and toilets are on site. Highly recommended for plant lovers — and honestly for anyone looking for a quiet, enjoyable place to visit.

A good stop to warm up and admire cacti from all over the world after a nice walk by the lakes. Clean, beautifully curated and a great place to learn, for kids and adults alike.

We went there on a Sunday afternoon. There is no entrance fee. We had a great time going through the greenhouse, each part of it represents a certain biome, so it was really nice. They are also selling substrates for succulents and seeds. Would definitely recommend to visit!

We enjoyed seeing the great collection of succulents and cactuses here. The stuff was very friendly and one can even buy a small succulent or a cactus here. A nice souvenir. The collection of succulents is impressive. Definitely worth visiting. Entrance is free of charge.

WHAT A FIND! This glass, botanical building on the lake hosts a state sponsored collection of succulent plants from around the world, and it's free to visit. We absolutely loved happening upon this curious establishment in Switzerland, and delighted in a culture that offers such resources for the benefit and education of its citizens and visitors.
