I stayed in a private room with shared facilities and I enjoyed my experience. It was perfectly quiet at night and very clean, both within the room and in public spaces. I never saw anyone else using a shared shower or a toilet; the breakfast also offered a surprising variety of food and decent unlimited coffee.

This was a great stay - two family trip to Zurich to watch Euros football. We used a four bed bunk room - excellent accommodation to be fair, with a private bathroom. Food and refreshments good value in an otherwise expensive place. It’s a good base for sight seeing with plenty of regular public transport. Above all - the staff are excellent. They go above and beyond to be helpful and were very friendly.

Nice Hostel located right beside bus stop. Bathrooms were not very clean, and only two stalls for a number of rooms which was a bit inconvenient. Additionally, no towels were provided. Excellent breakfast buffet and common areas for lounging and dining.

Nice budget friendly place, stayed for 2 nights and not any major discomfort. Breakfast is also okay. They have pool table and yard. Staff is polite and helpful. Forgot to take pictures, but they have enough space for a lot of people and they dye breakfast eggs with nice color

Would’ve been nice to have curtains for each bed in the rooms and to have a fan/air conditioning as it gets hot in summer. Breakfast was good and the service was great. Decent location too as you’re nearby a few bus/train stations.

Although we got a room with simple amenities in, it has got everything u need. I love the common areas with a billiard table and a nice small garden. Feel cosy enough~ The only cons is that there's quite a walking distance from the station.

I had a nice 2 night stay here whilst in Zurich. I will give a brief review of different aspects. ||Staff: I found all staff to be helpful and friendly. I had an issue with the WiFi and one guy was super helpful at helping me resolve. Staff also answered any other questions I had. ||Rooms: I stayed in a 6 bed dorm. The bed was comfortable and I got good nights sleep. You have to make and strip your own bed. |No towels provided. There is good sized lockers and sinks in the room. Toilets and showers down the corridor. ||Food: The breakfast here was good. You have a selection of teas and coffees along with ham/salami/cheese etc. also available is boiled eggs, cereals, spreads and butters and bread. |I also had a pizza one night, it was just a flatbread with some cheese onions and bacon, it was quite expensive at 14.50CHF but this is expected in Switzerland. |There is an area where you can fill water bottles etc with fresh clean water. ||Location: The hostel is in a good location, close to two train stations. Public transport is very accessible and trains generally run on time. ||Giving this a 4/5 as it was advertised as a youth hostel. Given my previous experiences they are more lively, easier to meet people whereas with this hostel there was a wide range of age groups, including young children. However I appreciate this must be different in Switzerland. ||Other things to note:|- no shower gel provided. |- no towels provided. |Laundry facilities available.

Wonderful location minutes from station and swimming on lake Zurich. Best welcome from the front on house team, amazingly kind and attentive service to families. Extra shout out to the lovely kitchen team for the breakfast, wide array of foods for all

Yelp
I think this is the first HI hostel I've been to where it's not compulsory to be a HI member. Certainly this is the first where there were mixed sex rooms. The crowd kept to themselves, probably because this hostel is so big, the common area does not facilitate interaction (which is a flip side of a large, spacious common area). It welcomes guests of all ages, unlike some which (try to) enforce (relative) youth in guests. A good breakfast with a good spread is included in the price (there're even some local products), and it starts at 6am! Lunch & dinner are also available at reasonable prices (for Switzerland). The room was quite roomy. The power socket was really near bed - just above it, though it was recessed as is common in Switzerland so not all power adaptors will be able to use it. The lockers were both in the room and large.

Yelp
This is a hostel located at prime location! You'll be close to everything in Zurich, perfect for tourism. I loved the rooms, the hangout areas, breakfast - all impressive! However, one thing that concerned us were, surprise parking fee which was not mentioned before. Overall it's pricey but maybe worth it!

Yelp
Such a great hostel. Book on Hostelworld! Far enough from the craziness of Zurich Main Station but still very close. Just 3 stops away/8 min train ride. Here's what I love about this place..... Bathrooms are hostel efficient. Toilets and showers are separated so you don't have to wait to shower if someone is 'ing. Men and women toilets are separated which is great because some chicks are for real rachet. Breakfast is included! Food good enough. See pics. Each bed has it's own outlet and light. See pics for outlet type. Common area far from beds. Bar closes at 5am so it can get real loud. Speaking of which. BAR CLOSES AT 5AM!! Beer and wine. Tips to consider. Bring a towel or 2 franks. 10 frank deposit or leave driver's license. 2 frank coin for locker. Slippers for the common shower. Ear plugs and eye mask. It's a hostel. People come in and out. All in all a great experience. Thank you!!!

Yelp
Good modern friendly hostel in a southern suburb. Easy to get back to in the evening, there is a big tram depot at Wollishofen so every second tram along Bahnhofstrasse is a 7 that will take you to Morgental, a 1 minute walk from the hostel.

Yelp
Upon my arrival, the youth hostel situated on the outskirts of Zurich was not the most visually appealing building, but I was open to the new experience. The rooms here are by far the best part. The lockers are a nice touch for a sense of privacy. The beds are very comfortable, yet there were no towels included in the assortment of linens. Yet overall the rooms were wonderful. The bathrooms were very clean and pleasant. I was expecting them to be very unclean, yet I was happily surprised with a clean floor and stall, always stocked with paper towels and toilet paper. The showers were also very clean and private. Some lowlights of the trip included the lobby and the food. Initially arriving to the lobby there is a bowling-alley esque that feels reminiscent of a Chucky-Cheese. The food was very expensive (like most items in Zurich), and the complimentary breakfast did not have much variety, however the taste of the food was simple and enjoyable. The dinner quality was not worth the price. The lunch sandwiches were very good and the drink variety was refreshing! (But again overpriced). On a positive note, the staff was very helpful and kind. If you are young, and looking for a cheaper alternative to a hotel, this is the hostel for you! It does it's job, yet it's missing some essential amenities of any overnight hotel/motel/hostel.
