Zwilling Store - Santa Monica

I am unbelievably upset and dissatisfied with my experience here. We love to cook and splurged on our first ever professional knife. The knife was dull and rusted after one use despite drying completely and following care instructions. We came to return the knife and were immediately told no. The salesperson Jesse laughed at us, telling us that we were idiots unable to properly use a knife. The manager Jose yelled at us for not knowing their return policy and had Jesse cut a carrot with our knife in front of us. They showed absolutely zero empathy on Christmas Eve. They were rude, condescending, and unkind. We do not recommend purchasing anything from this store.

Only get your knives and kitchenwares from this place, Zwilling. Jose helped me today and he was very helpful, professional and knowledgeable. He sharpened my knives that had gotten dull. It took no time at all and they are sharp as the first day I got them 20 yrs ago. This place is the best. Jose is the best!!

I drove over to their location in Santa Monica. It's a pain in the butt. I had to find a place to park in Santa Monica that was close by. There's not anything close by. I had to park far away in a paid parking lot and walk over here. When I arrived they were not even present at the building during working hours. There is no point in going to fancy places when the store is not even open. At least Ikea is open. What I was left with at this gigantic shopping center was a sign taped in the door, handwritten, stating "back in a few minutes"

George is amazing with sales. Gave two somewhat competent wannabe chefs an informative, honest review of several items we ended up purchasing. Jose was just as helpful. Thank you both for helping us.

Walked in and was immediately greeted by George (I think that was his name) and I felt well welcomed. Overall exceptional experience. One thing I admired about the customer care was that George offered a more in depth understanding of each specific blade and even offered a brief history of them. He seems very enthusiastic about his job and does it with genuine passion.

Best customer service I have ever got in LA. They helped me choose the knives and accessories for my kitchen for over an hour! I now love this brand and the products I bought and I can’t wait to come back to buy more. The store manager / the guy who helps you choose the knives deserves a raise! :))

I just had the best knife skills class ever with George, Melanie, and Jose at Zwilling. Learned so much about cutting techniques, different sorts of knives and how they work, and knife care. It's kind of wild to take something you use everyday and transform your understanding of it. We were peeling tomatoes with a fillet knife, I supremed an orange (didn't even know what that was before the class), and learned a bunch of other stuff. I learned a lot that I'll need to keep practicing over and over, but it was so helpful to have hands-on instruction from the team at Zwilling to watch me try the new cutting techniques and help me identify when I was falling into old bad habits. For instance, my pinky finger likes to sneak out into the cutting zone ("the danger zone" if you will) and I didn't notice that, honestly couldn't even see my pinky finger while I'm cutting something. I would 10/10 recommend the Zwilling knife skills class to anyone who takes their cooking seriously but isn't ready to go to culinary school. You won't regret it.

By far, my absolute favorite place for higher-end kitchen supplies, and some of the best customer service you'll ever get! Not only do they carry Zwilling knives (among the best for everyday cooks and chefs), but also some of the best cookware (including my personal faviriteBallarini!) and kitchen accessories. I've picked up a Ballarini stir-fry skillet, Italian magnetic knife block, knife organizer, cooking utensils and a Henckel's chef knife. Absolutely beyond satisfied with all my purchases. But here's where I fell in love with the company. Five months after the purchase of my Ballarini pan, it somehow managed to develop an impenetrable film, possibly from over heating beyond normal use. I was disheartened by this, but when the store instructed me to write to the company, my pan was replaced within a week. AMAZEBALLS customer service!! So there you have it- fantastic products and the forgotten art of excellent customer service. Thank you for raising the bar on retail experience.

Purchased a Demeyere Atlantis 5.5qt stock pot from the store in September at a good price. Since I live a bit far from Santa Monica, I told the store manager that it would take me some time to go pick it up; the store manager told me he would hold the pot for me as long as it takes. I offered to pay for the port over the phone but he declined cited he could not accept credit card over the phone. I went to the store to purchase the pot after a week. Overall a very good customer service experience and of course very good product quality.
