TAMPA BAY CITY GUIDE

"Zydeco Brew Werks is a craft brewery, social eatery, and NOLA-inspired experience in the heart of historical Ybor City. Modern yet nostalgic, it was founded by a collective of those passionate about the craft beer scene, and exceptional food and service. We set out to create a space that's as warm as it is cool. A place where friends can come together and strangers become friends."

This place was recommended by family member who lives in the area. We ate with a group and ordered different types of food. The shrimp and grits was pretty good. I had a burger with Havarti cheese and bacon and it was really good. I enjoyed it. We also ordered the catfish bites and the fish tasted really good and crispy and the hush puppies were absolutely amazing. They tasted like little fried cornbread bites, and it was amazing. The reason I gave at four stars was because the service was a little slow.

An amazing place we discovered in Ybor City, lovely ambiance! Amazing food with big portions and very fair prices. We ordered a flight of beers each and had us a feast. The services was really nice and helped us pick our meals. Definitely coming next time in Tampa! Update: Broke (bartender) & Harris (server) were amazing and made our experience even better the next time around. It’s always a great vibe every time we visit!!

Stopped for the 1st time in Ybor City Tampa Florida. Got a little hungry and saw great reviews for Zydeco. It was around 4pm on a Sunday and the area was somewhat busy. So I ordered a brisket sandwich, shrimp and grits, and a large pretzel as an appetizer. The brisket was pretty tasteless to me. I actually didn't really enjoy it but it wasn't horrible. The pretzel was super delicious and worth the trip. The shrimp and grits was also very good. The restaurant was very clean and our server was excellent.

We were in Tampa/Ybor for a few days visiting and a local recommended Zydeco for some good hearty food. There was no wait and the staff was friendly. The restaurant had lots of room and you could easily have a large group eat there if you wanted to. The boiled peanuts were awesome! I would absolutely order them again. We also got the shrimp mac and cheese and the gumbo. Both were good.

OMG- Everything here is great!! They have a 4-7 Happy hr. Can’t beat it!! Vodka and Passion Fruit drink for only $3!! Tons of different beers to try. Service was outstanding and fast!! Nicole, our server, was outstanding!! This is definitely a must try with multiple great restaurants, ice cream shops in the area.

This wasn't on our original plan on our visit to Ybor City but turned out to be one of our favorites. Our waiter was very friendly and informative and the the beer selection was good. We ordered the Chicken and Shrimp Gumbo and it just might have been the best gumbo I've ever had (see pictures). It was so juicy, flavorfull and delicious - you'll definitely want to try a bowl during your visit! Update: Brought our son and his friends back yesterday to try more food and again left impressed. We ordered the boiled peanuts (see picture) on the waitress' recommendation. Once you get over the new experience of 'mushy' / soft peanuts in the shell, they tasted very good. For the main course, we ordered macaroni and cheese, gumbo and Shrimp & Grits (see pictures) and really liked all of them. I had the Shrimp & Grits and even though I can't claim to be an expert they were the best grits I've ever had - creamy, smooth and delicious! Make sure someone in your party orders the Gumbo and someone else has the Shrimp & Grits so you can try them both!! Food: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Service: 5 If you found this review helpful, please click on 'Like'.

Stopped I. Around the holiday for a bite and brew. Place was fairly full around lunch on a weekend. Plenty of seating, friendly staff and a few visiting roosters occasionally. Live music that day was good. Our food was very tasty and satisfying, brews were great. Recommend stopping by when in the area.

Excellent bar. The drink specials are incredible. $20 bottomless Mimosas, giant steins of beers. The tuna plate is incredible 🤤. Our server was very friendly too, and replaced my original drink selection after I tasted it and didn't like it. Really nice atmosphere too inside. Highly recommend!
