The museum is located in the historic building, in the heart of the German Colony. There are some interesting and original exhibitions inside, the works of artists from the period when the German Colony began to be built and the works of the contemporary Israeli artist Ossi Yalon. The museum is nice and compact, not too crowded and with unique atmosphere. You need about an hour and a half to walk through all the rooms and to read all the explanations.

The impression of the museum depends on the exhibition. The current one - "Flowers" is quite vivid, eloquent, interactive, and eye-catching. Super informative and entertaining for the kids as well as for adults. Regardless of the museum's size, I'd recommend visiting "Flowers" exhibition and look for further ones.

The museum's name is misleading. There's just one small room dedicated to the history of the city and I found the English explanations there wanting. The rest of the two storey building is set aside for temporary exhibitions not necessarily related to the city itself. Not worth the entrance fee.

Quite pathetic "museum" with an unclear story. The 1948 exhibition is completely tepid, trying to appease the powers that be with right wing agenda in the education ministry. What happened to the reflection of the changing reality in Haifa which turned from a mainly Arab city pre 1948 to a mainly Jewish city post 1948? The Arabs left and the immigrant Jews replaced them. Isn't this the story here?

Complete waste of money. What could be a comprehensive museum dedicated to the rich and varied history of Haifa is nothing more than an almost empty shell given over to a tragic 70s pop singer.

A small museum located in the German Colony. It's a shame that some of the exhibitions are located on the second floor with no option to be visited by persons with disability.
