This temple features a stunning ancient doorway, famously known as the 'Gate of Time,' which looks like a portal to another era. If you’re looking for an incredible photo and have some extra time, it’s a must see. However, if you’re on a tight schedule, you might want to skip it, as the archway is the main attraction and there isn't much else to explore in the immediate area.

It’s nice to realize that the core of the reclining Buddha is very old. The statue itself has been restored, while everything around it was left in ruins, which makes the place feel a bit touristy at first. Still, people come here to pray, light incense, and leave offerings, and that makes it feel alive rather than just another historical stop.

The temple has a very large reclining Buddha statue. It was renovated some time ago and is looking very clean and tidy with it's new plaster and paint. I did hear some people say that they preferred the statue the way it was but it has been preserved for another few hundred years as opposed to it just being left to crumble away. The statue is very impressive especially in the sunlight.

Buddha is huge but we were disappointed that none of its original character was retained when it was recently restored. Pictures here didn’t match what we actually saw. Doesn’t take away from its religious and historical importance but better to know what to expect before of making the trip!

Just renovated, now the ancient reclining Buddha monument lack of traits of his important history. Feels very contemporary.
PS: it's the Sagat's Street Fighter 2 stage

Turns out the reclining Buddha was restored into a.... Not so impressive statue. A bit disappointed but it might be because the temple was actually still being used until today, so they decided to renovated the Buddha.
Good side of this was it's free.

The once impressive reclining Buddha with its weathered charme was completely overpainted with yellow paint recently. The calming atmosphere of a historic site is completely gone. 100% disappointing.
Visiting is free and the location is a bit away from the tourist crowds.

The buddha looks different from what I googled as they restored and freshened it up recently. Still a nice spot.
