Delicious tempura. English menu. Fast service. Don’t forget to buy their in house sweet soy sauce to go.

Fresh as it can get for sashmi, especially otoro (fatty tuna). The tendon was well portioned and tasty. Highly recommend adding a few extra pieces of ebi, can eat that for days.

What a lovely place for lunch! And it’s near the seaside so you can have a scroll after a nice meal. Their sashimi rice is amazing and very reasonably priced. Plenty of parking spaces too making it easily accessible.

Tokujo tendon tokumori (3pcs) is really delicious. The tendon is fried to perfection and the ebi is fresh too. The batter has a nice unique taste to it, just can’t figure out what it is.

Fantastic Tendon experience. It’s a must to come and dine in this place. The seafood so fresh and the set meal so good and enough for a good meal. The services is quick and friendly too. Ample parking. The fried fish is the best choice. Will be back

It’s still makes for a relatively good meal, esp. for newcomers. But as someone who had lived in the city a long time ago, I personally felt that the quality had gone down a bit. Prices remain competitive and so it welcomes quite a few people - families and foreigners, especially.

I went here in June 2025, the food was amazing and very consistent, I got a Toyostune Gozen which is a very big meal set with some interesting side dishes. There was a queue so I waited 15-20mins.

- The Prawn tempura was delicious. Tender and juicy while The barter is Crispy. - Anago tempura is a little too fatty for me but Still delicious. - The rice sauce was on Point and elevate the tempura - Sashimi was fresh and absolutely delicious. - Very busy but the wait is not long since the Service is quite efficient.

A good deal and large portions, but nothing too special. We came here based on the recommendation of our ryokan, so we had high expectations of the food here. But, our expectations were only partially met. The food I ordered here was the lunch set which came with a few pieces of sashimi, two types of seaweed, broiled fish neck, miso soup amd rice. Portion wise, this set was excellent. Additionally, the price was quite good at 880 yen. However, I didn't like all of the dishes we were given. Specifically, the seaweed dishes were not my cup of tea. All in all, though, the food here is a pretty good deal.

This place is known for their tempura donburi, or tendon. It's a rice bowl topped with tempura prawns and vegetables. Great for pescetarians! As such, I ordered the tendon! You are greeted at the table by a host and given some ice cold water. There is also a water dispenser near the pay counter, along with mugs to get your complimentary hot or iced green tea. I thought the tempura was all right; nothing to call the folks home about, or even tell my next-door neighbor about. The tempura was so sweet with the sauce around it. The price is slightly higher than usual but still reasonable. I would like to try the sashimi next time when I return to Beppu!

Pretty touristy place in Beppu near the main JR station. Known for TenDon (Tempura over rice). The tempura was crisp and light and the sauce was a bit sweet, must be the local flavor. Also tried the Toriten (chicken tempura), a Beppu favorite. It was made from seseri, the neck of the chicken. It was soft and moist but I found the batter a bit overpowering. Price was very reasonable.
