We stayed here for two nights during a trip to Kyushu. We were very impressed with the hotel overall. ||The location is quite convenient: an easy streetcar/tram ride from the Shinkansen station. It's very central, near many restaurants, shopping and Kumamoto Castle. Though, if you're just passing through, you'll want something closer to the main train station. ||This is a very typical Japanese business hotel, which means that the rooms are small. If you've stayed in other Japanese hotels or European ones, for that matter, you'll understand what to expect. Don't expect a big, North American style room. That said, there was space enough for us two. ||Breakfast was included, and it was quite a nice, typically Japanese buffet. The staff were all very friendly. And they had a nice selection of extra pillows, toiletries, etc, available. ||The only complaint at all: the bed was extremely hard - the hardest we've ever experienced. If you like that sort, or if you're only sleeping one to a bed, you'll likely be fine. But with two in a small double, we found it uncomfortable. ||The price was also quite reasonable, compared to other similar places we've stayed elsewhere in Japan.
