Visited the museum to understood the meaning behind the salt making process and it's history. Had their salt vanilla ice-cream. Nice. Advice to visit the salt mountain after that.

Terrific. I was skeptical but the exhibition and explanation of the history of salt was very informative. It made me think of our current age and the ultimate irrelevance of hydrocarbons. The entrance fee is reasonable and the washroom clean. There is a lot of amazing contemporary art.

My long-time Taiwanese friend's sister's husband drove us here in February 22, 2017. The salt fields which are natural and ecological are much more worth visiting than the Museum marketing nicely packed salt varieties that you cannot desist your buying impulse. There are other salt-related substitutes in the vicinity and it is advisable to make up your mind which one to visit beforehand as not all sight-seeing and parking are free!

quite small inside and can be completed rather quickly, educational about how Taiwan’s history of salt is. /the salt ice-cream is worth a try!

Interesting museum but rather out of the way, enjoy a free salt spa whilst you're visiting :)
