A lovely visit to this tea museum to learn about the history and culture of tea in China. There is a huge directory board at the entrance of the museum compound that gives an overview of the museum grounds. Descriptions are in English as well. As we walked up to the main museum entrance we were delighted to see a lovely stream running through the lower tea plantations. The gardens leading up to the main museum halls are mature with trees and beautiful flowers, lotus, water plants and koi fish. There is a security check point at the entrance of Hall 1. Locals are required to scan a QR code to register. Foreigners were escorted to the main reception hall. We just presented our passports and signed in on their guest book. The lovely receptionist greeted us with a smile and informed us that there is a tea tasting inside featuring 6 different varieties of tea. Overall it was an informative, serene and relaxing activity.

The exhibits are well-organized, and I appreciated that much of the information was available in English, making it easy to follow. The buildings are surrounded by gorgeous gardens and greenery, so it’s definitely worth visiting on a clear day to soak up the ambiance. Entrance was free, which was a nice surprise. If you’re a tea lover or just enjoy serene places with a cultural twist, this museum is a must-visit! Perfect for a relaxing afternoon in Hangzhou.

If you are a tea lover, this is the place you wanna be. This museum is so tranquil and offers more than just a boring museum. I usually don’t like museums but this is a 5 stars for me ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Despite the secluded location, it is a very beautiful place that is underrated and it’s for free. Initially I thought there is a need for registration for the free entry, but we were ushered in politely. A nice place to understand the different types of tea in different parts of China.

Good history of Chinese tea, nestled amid tea plantations, after visiting this museum, take a short walk to the beautiful Green Tea restaurant just a short distance away for a delicious meal and wonderful ambience..

Lovely place where you can learn about the history of tea. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. No tickets are required :) There are several halls with Chinese and English explanations and everything is informational. It was very empty when we went and a helpful (and probably bored)security guard gave us some helpful info too. There are longjing tea plantations outside the museum which you can walk, and a tea house nearby (but we didn't go).

A nice place where you can learn about the history of tea and it's cultural relevance within China. Entrance was free and most information was available in English too. The building has beautiful decorations and gardens, so it's worth to come on non-rainy days.
