Wonderful traditional stay! Excellent traditional accommodation with well-kept rooms and bathrooms. You can sleep in a traditional-style room, and they even provide kimono for guests to use. The bathroom was very spacious and equipped with every comfort. We spent two weeks in Japan and stayed at three different hotels — this one was by far the best and the most spacious. The staff are also extremely kind and helpful. There’s a laundry area available, breakfast upon request, a microwave, and complimentary coffee and hot tea. Thank you so much, it was a truly pleasant stay!

Very warm welcome at this traditional Ryokan. My family stayed in a spacious 4 bed room on comfortable futons and with ensuite bathroom. The owner spoke very good English and was very helpful in trying to sort a place for lunch and advice about transport links. This is a quiet area, close to metro links making it easy to access different part of the city. We were also able to leave our bags the following morning after we checked out. Highly recommended.

Love this place! The owner is very kind and welcoming; even after we had checked out, she let us hang out for hours in the lounge area, even giving us coffee and chocolates. The location is also excellent: an easy walk to Ningyocho station, which is a straight shot to Haneda airport. You can’t beat that.

The staff are very friendly and welcoming. It feels like I am staying at family members house. The vibes are very chill and quiet due to the location of the facility. Their breakfast is good, very much like my grandma is cooking for me vibes. If you are coming to Japan for the first time and want to experience something authentic and homely feeling, this place is worth every dollar. The owners put their heart into making this place feel welcoming for the customers.

Charming. Location is fantastic, service is top notch. The Annex rooms are much newer, spacious, and overall better. But the main building - those rooms feel authentic. Breakfast is optional, but cannot be missed.

My first traditional Inn stay in Tokyo and it’s made me wish I only booked traditional stays. The staff introduced me to the wonderful and kind Japanese hospitality, giving me plenty of advice on what to do and where to go. The room was beautiful and so was the free Japanese style pyjamas which after this I have bought several pairs. Located in a quiet but well connected part of the city. I did not find it hard to get around. Will definitely be coming again!

In recommending this place to friends just now, we have just realised we omitted to write a review at the time. Bad us, because this ryokan was just beautiful when we stayed there last year. Do not miss the breakfast, which cost us the additional princely sum of AUD$6 - it is filling, delicious, and as always with Japanese food, a work of art. For us in our 60s, the non-ensuite bathrooms and toilets weren't a problem. The ryokan is in a great location, near the subway and best of all in a lovely neighborhood full of local family-run tiny restaurants - none of the owners or staff spoke English so they taught us how to use Google Translate which changed our lives! The English spoken at the ryokan itself is very, very good, and the people were lovely. Highly recommended and we will return here on our next trip. By the way, I don't understand the photo shown here as I don't recall anything in the area that looks like arches...maybe just my memory.
