It is a amazing place. This is the only Tibetan Buddhism Temple in Northwestern China. This temple was errected by emperor's order in the Qing Dynasty and is also an official residence for the Panchan Lama and Dalai Lama for their trips to Peking. Several plaques were written by famous people in history such as Kang Youwei and the notorious Empress Dowager Cixi. The figures and architecture docorations are different from those of Han Buddhism. The Thai royalties donated a Śarīra to this temple. However, the chamber accommodating this Śarīra is too dark to make it visible to naked eye. The location of this temple is at not too far away from the Muslim Quarter.
