Beautifully designed opera house in the proximity of the Guangzhou museum. Found a nice cafe here as well.

I went to the opera house in January with some friends while we were travelling around China. The architectural concept is interesting, but the final result, at least on the outside, is not that great. The cladding is not very precise and the overall aspect is ok, but not great. The interior, though, is impressive and it's worth a visit!

Just walked around the building to admire the architecture. It's different and creates some interesting angles for photographs. It's also juxtaposed against some other dramatic modern buildings - monolithic glass skyscrapers and the Canton Tower.

The overlapping forms of Guangzhou Opera House create a dialogue between structure and movement, changing beautifully with every perspective.

This is the best place I have ever been, As a architect I felt like this is the opportunity to learn Zaha's design. It is definetly a place you won't regret

Incredibly, Chinese show and of course Incredibly view of the canton river, the Guangzhou city and Tower.

It's looking a little rough around the edges, but Zaha's iconic wave-form stands proudly along the river amongst Guangzhou's giant leap into modernity.
