瞻园

Located near 夫子庙 (walking distance from the Pedestrian Street), this place is known as 金陵第一园, the largest private gardens and one of Jiangnan's 四大园林. The first owner Xu Da was a comrade of Zhu Yuan Zhang, and his eldest daughter also married Zhu's grandson. There are still traces of his ownership in the front part of the garden where a path is made using tiles and cheap stones, which were decided by Xu Da as a display of prudence to align with values of Zhu Yuan Zhang. Today, in modern times, it's essentially a big pretty garden used for filming and a pretty good OOTD spot. The garden also looks slightly different when the lights come on at night.

I think if you ever had chance to visit Nanjing then all the places around there you should at least give a look (even though not everything is in English or has English description) I don't understand Chinese, and from what my friend told me seemed that the English version couldn't describe well the spirit of the origin language when telling story. P/s: I got a sugar-coated haws and it's nice

This place serves as a place to explore traditional Chinese culture. You can see many young women dressed in costumes similar to those of royalty. There are many beauty salons that offer make-up and clothing rentals for this.

Clean, nice local food, a lot souvenir shop. Oldies building

The view at night was amazing with the old architectural houses.

Very nice river walk near downtown Nanjing. Crowded and many mom and pop shops.
