Whole new attraction around West Lake, you can probably spend a good hour or two here. You'll probably have visited half of the 10 scenes before visiting this and so might be a bit jaded.
Perhaps that's why it felt comparatively weaker.

Scenic I guess, definitely better if the weather is better which is hard to come by in this area given the heavy smog in Chinese cities. But really at the end of the day it’s just a lake and it’s not too different from other parts of west lake. You’ll see a lot of people here taking some kind of boat tour and taking pictures.

If you ever heard the legend of white snake, this is the place where the series and legend come from. Very stunning view. Great lake for sightseeing and relaxing atmosphere.

Sudi is a lovely walkway along the west side of west lake, there's several shops along the way selling ice-cream and beverages, including fresh squeezed juice for hot summer days. It doesn't cost anything, but if you're tired of walking, there are electric carts driving alround all of west lake frequently, so you can pay to ride along with one of those. There's also boats depaeturing from here to the island in the middle of west lake.

Nice park, well organized with a series of lakes and clear indications done in English for the important landmarks. Clean restrooms. But big crowds even on a week day outside of tourist season. There is also a very nice restaurant on the edges of the water.

Way, wayyyyyy too many fish in the ponds. Many of the fish have tumors. People were feeding the fish random stuff. It was not a pleasing sight.
If you've been to the Huntington Gardens in LA, you'll be really disappointed by this place.
