Novotel Ambassador Seoul Gangnam

As a 5-star hotel, there’s no valet helping at the door, one staff member was standing there but I didn’t get any luggage help either when I arrived or when I left. Also, I can only ask for 3 bottles of water tops one day, which is unheard of. The staff were also not very warm and eager to help when I raise a request. Overall, I think the service level is not up to standard. Location is good. Pool is nice.

The room is decent in size for a single occupant person. Room is clean, bed was large and comfortable, air con perfect in temperature, including a desk for workspace, coffee maker, refrigerator was also available, bathrobes, hotel slippers, amenities available. Large television with many Korean networks. I just wish the shower had shelf space for my personal items. ||There are a total of 5 elevators, 3 on one side and 2 on the other. There was something strange about the middle elevator on the three sided one. It would make stops on floors that weren’t pressed, making you want to get off one of the floors to call another elevator.||What’s great about the hotel is that it is directly connected to the subway station, shopping mall filled with restaurants, shops and movie theater. You’re right in the middle of Seoul and just minutes away from Itaewon and all the nightlife that comes with it. ||There is a fitness center which I will try out on another visit. Breakfast buffet that is something my work colleagues have experienced and I’d like to try it out as well. I was on 15F with a gorgeous view of the city skyline. A coffee shop is conveniently located downstairs, and there is also a casino connected to the hotel. Safety is really important when staying at a hotel, I’ve found it that way. A very nice hotel for my first time to Seoul.

I stayed in this hotel because it was one of the recommended hotels for the conference I attended. While it was conveniently located in Gangnam and it's a clean hotel, that is about all it has to offer. ||Across the board, the service in the hotel is not good--actually it's quite poor. I had a few little requests (a bar of soap, some extra hangars) which they just couldn't seem to help with. Each time they would promise action and never do anything or follow up. Honestly, I'd rather be told "no" than be told yes and then never actually get anything. I had the same experience trying to use a meeting room. Lots of scurrying around and promises to follow up, but no actual follow up. ||The piece de résistance was standing next to the bellhop in front of the hotel as he watched me struggling to get my bags into the cab and he didn't move a finger to assist, and then proceeded to wave goodbye. ||Bottom line: this is not a cheap place, and you can do much much better in Seoul at this price point. I suggest you do just that.

The staff were all very kind, the room was nice and comfortable, and the breakfasts offered a wide variety of cuisines and were delicious. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay. The hotel was situated on a slope, so walking uphill was a bit challenging if you had heavy laggage with you.

It’s true that the rooms are ready for a refresh, if you are picky. But the service for us was outstanding and I want to give a special shout out to Becky, who helped us make a change in our reservation status that made our visit wonderful. They also have a nicely balanced breakfast buffet with a few quality surprises.

We booked for 3 nights - excellent check in with reception (Mr Alex) and was upgraded to the executive floor due to my Accor platinum status. Breakfast has good variety and the executive lounge served very good snack and alcohol drinks at 5-7pm. Also used the gym which was very good and service overall was excellent. Highly recommended!

stayed here during 2024, the reception's service is great, very kind & one of the young staff (i forgot the name) even helped me purchased gym gloves through local online marketplace. room is fully renovated, gym facilities are a lot, the saunas & jacuzzi are great and the area is big..prime location as well as its located in gangnam busy shopping area. the only cons is that i never knew there are lots of inclines roads when walking in gangnam

Great stay in twin room. Thanks to front desk Vecky gave me a free room upgrade! So I could stay in a high floor than I was expected. There are subway station nearby, and lot of Korea pubs, restaurants, and shopping centers. It was a wonderful time.
