Unlike any other Gamjatang, especially the soup, it’s a little thick and creamy in a good way, it’s nice and comforting. You can choose the spiciness level, actually it’s not that spicy, even the highest level is not as spicy as buldak noodles The dipping sauce was so tasty, sweet and sour, giving a fresh kick. The banchan is free flow (self service), the geotjeori / fresh kimchi is my favorite, so fresh, yums!! Not to forget we also ordered fried rice to finish. Lovely comforting meals. There was line (during dinner) but the staff (or I assumed the owner) was very helpful with the queue, ordering, and everything. Honestly I prefer this Gamjatang than the famous one in Seongsu

The best gamjatang that we've ever had, the spicyness, milkyness of the broth together with the meaty pork, bouncy sujebi and perilla leaf is just perfection 😍

Just passing by on my way back to my accommodation when I saw this restaurant around 0200'sh in the afternoon. They are closing in a few minutes for their break time. I decided to have it to go. The ladies serving food only speak Korean ,they tried to get my order even if they are busy on a closing time. I appreciate their patience. I tried a lot of Korean food but not this one. Funny to say, I ate it first before even researching what it is. I read some of the reviews after eating and it has bean curd in it. The meat is so soft, can eat the meat off the bones, glad I took it home, I don't know how you eat it without using your hands. Very tasty meat especially when dipping in the sauce provided. It tasted really good, the cook understood my instructions for low spicy level. Must try!!!!

Not typical gamjatang. The broth is very thick because they put lots of grouded perilla seed into the soup. So it is thick and creamy. Kimchi is not that great though but i go here for the soup. Do not skip to add fried rice when you finish your soup ,and don't skip Soju along with the soup.

Edit : They no longer serve one person portion anymore. There’s small, medium, large size. Small is good for two people. Love it! There’s different level of spice available for soup. Non-spicy, a little spicy, spicy, very spicy. You might have to queue for awhile if you go there on meal times. It’s the kind of you eat, you finish, you have to get out kind of restaurant.

One of the better gamjatangs I’ve had in Seoul. Perilla is used a lot here - leaves are cooked in the broth, seed powder and a dip is available and recommended to go with the meat. Stew becomes thick as the tteok boils away, and rice added at the end makes it an excellent finish.

One thing on the menu and they do it amazingly. You pick the number of servings and spice level for your gamjatang before sitting and you can add on rice/ramen. So delicious!

have you tried pork bone soup with groun bean curd? it's a must-try if you are in the area. this stew is very savory :) this restaurant gets pretty busy after 6pm. when you arrive, put your name, # of people, what flavor you want to order on a board at the entrance. if it's not that busy, you will be seated right away if not, the waiting game starts. btw, to be seated, all of your group has to come! enjoyyyyy :)
