Nice hotel, with many options for non skiers from a casino to swimming pool / spa / sauna options. Easy to ski from there as well as with frequent shuttles to ski houses

Free shuttle bus services definitely help get around the resort with ease. Discount coupons for restaurants, facilities and rental equipments given upon check-in are great savings too. Would choose it again for future stays.

High-end hotel resort with ski and water parks. However, there are only two restaurants at the hotel. About 2.5 hrs from Seoul. I drove to a near village 10 mins drive for KFC and other things. It is not a regular hotel.

3rd time to High1 for better ski experience and fewer people. The Grand Hotel is 1980s luxe with super expensive dining options. We frequented the Garden cafe for the bread basket (11000 won) and latte (9000 won). We got the Suite for 4 adults at very reasonable rates. Huge room with another sitting area but 2 queen beds (no option for single beds). Free Shuttle buses made it very convenient to get to ski lifts and the towns of Sabuk and Gohan for dinner. Hotel gave discount vouchers for dining, 40% off ski lifts and 30% off rentals. Recommended for beginner skiers and families. 3 hours drive from Incheon.

Excellent stay. Better than expected. I was worried that it would be crowded at the lobby/ common areas due to proximity to casino which was not a preference. The lobby of convention hotel is grand, peaceful and modern. I was also worried that it would be inconvenient to reach the ski slopes however the shuttle buses were frequent and you can get to the slopes quickly. The bus stop drop off point is right outside the ticket office for ski passes Hotel service was welcoming and superb from check in/out to housekeeping. As foreigners we received discount coupons for ski rental and pass. View from room was nice and loved the cream and shower gel etc. Room service was quick and portions are huge. Also how it was delivered was really good too with the robot.Overall very good and comfortable stay.

Free parking is great! Staff are polite and very helpful, can provide help for all my questions! Food is nice, I went to La Vista at 23/F, you can enjoy your drinks and food with jazz.

Rooms were pleasant, everything functioning nicely. Hotel is comfortable and reasonably well-organised. Around the resort there are places where poor signage and language difficulties may give pause for non-Korean-speaking travellers, but it's nothing that a smartphone and a little persistence can't overcome. Free shuttle buses to the close-by ski hill and two local towns are frequent enough. Staff are kind, considerate and helpful. Food on the mountain is basic but perfectly fine. Unless you are coming for the casino specifically I wouldn't recommend the hotel in general. All facilities require extra charges and are cynically overpriced to rob more money from the punters, whose tinted-window executive cars arrive in droves. The less said about the buffet at the Grand Table the better. There is something very soulless about the High1 resort in general, and the strong corporate vibes give the place an eerie quality. The skiing is not so bad, although experienced riders will get bored after 2 or 3 days, unless a rare snowfall increases the fun. That said, the resort's snow-making abilities are quite impressive. If you are someone who gets irritated by poor piste etiquette, don't come here. At any given time half of the riders will be in the process of falling over, will have already fallen over, or will be chatting sat in the middle of the fairway. Try not to imagine anything in the way of apres-ski. As a solo traveller bored of watching the casino donkeys shift about the hotel, I went searching in the local towns for a bar. It was a depressing failure. I read the resort was intended to bring money to the depressed mining towns of Sabuk and Gohan, but seemingly it has turned these places into a succession of garishly presented empty restaurants and "Thai massage" joints, the latter being a favourite of the aforementioned tinted-window crowd.
