Roost Chicken & Biscuits

Southern restaurant (US) • Roscoe Village

My first visit to Roost Chicken & Biscuits was a not a disappointment. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the server was friendly and helpful. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich was an excellent choice. The chicken was tender, juicy, and had just the right level of heat. Accompanying it were two sides, creamy mac and cheese, and a refreshing cucumber coleslaw, making the meal complete. The biscuit, too, was perfectly cooked and fluffy, and a wonderful accompaniment to the hot chicken.

Gus' World Famous Fried Chicken is a must-stop spot for anyone visiting Chicago. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the staff is friendly and helpful. On a recent Saturday visit, a delicious two-piece white chicken plate and a couple of beers on tap and a Memphis Lemonade were ordered and served quickly. The chicken had an excellent balance of spices and it was extra-crispy without being asked to be extra-crispy, impressing even the most discerning fried-chicken connoisseur. Chicken Inn

Chicken restaurant • Edison Park

After many months of passing by Chicken Inn, I decided to grab dinner from this local chicken joint. From their menu, I decided to try the fried chicken, mushrooms, onion rings, potatoes, and coleslaw. What followed was an unexpected surprise. The fried chicken had a perfect, crisp coating that was full of flavors. The seasoning was not overbearing and allowed for the natural chicken flavor to burst through. The side of mushrooms and onion rings were just as flavorful; with the perfect balance of salt and oil that was deliciously complemented with garlic and spices. The potatoes were soft and fried perfectly.

Red Light Chicken

Chicken restaurant • Sheffield Neighbors

Red Light Chicken is consistently a top rated stop in Chicago. With its top-tier service and finger-licking-good menu items, it's no wonder why people flock. One of the most popular menu items is the Hot and Honey chicken sandwich - packed with just the right amount of heat and sweetness. The sandwich only comes with pickles and mayo as condiments, with cheese at an extra cost. But it's the truffle fries and the chicken nuggets (served with a spicy mayo dipping sauce) that really steal the show. The level of freshness of the food here can't be understated.
