The newest Maguro Brothers location has my dad in a chokehold. His pro tip: order the maguro and chutoro donburis for takeout and enjoy them from your hotel balcony overlooking the ocean. Honestly one of the best Waikiki experiences.

If you haven’t been to Pig and the Lady in Kaimuki, you’re missing out. Modern Vietnamese with creative twists-think vegan chestnut mushroom pâté, incredible Dungeness crab bucatini, and their own spin on classic pho (pho 75). Ingredients are locally sourced and the menu changes regularly.
