Hotel Indigo Nashville

"What's the big picture? The Hotel Indigo has really leaned into its prime Printer's Alley location: the check-in desk sits in front of a block letter stamp-covered statement wall, monochrome red books fill a lobby bookshelf, and guest rooms feature floor-to-ceiling photographic murals of printing presses. It could feel kitschy, but instead, thanks to high ceilings and spacious rooms, it feels like the perfect ode to the neighborhood, which once printed all of Nashville's newspapers. Cool. What are the rooms like?Since the hotel is built into a former bank office, the rooms are a bit of a roulette when it comes to configuration and design. Some have carpet, some have hardwoods, some have rugs and hardwood floors. All have the same strong graphic printing press statement wall, a workspace, coffee makers, and mini-fridges. How about the little things, like mini bar, or shower goodies. Worth noting? You'll get free wi-fi with your stay, and Aveda minis in the bathroom. What's the deal with dining and drinking? You don't even have to walk the few blocks to Broadway to enjoy some live music: The ground-level District Bar and Kitchen has live music from local artists from 7 to 10 p.m. every night. Have dinner elsewhere but make sure to stop by the speakeasy-style lounge before you head out to eat (or even head back to your room). Any other tips? You're within walking distance of many of Music City's best attractions, so think twice about needing that rental car. It's not cheap to park in downtown Nashville, so know parking will set you back $38 a day. What's the bottom line? You're just around the corner from some of Nashville's most popular attractions, and our readers say that the staff is incredibly attentive. Good location and great service? We're in." - Meredith Carey
