"Mercedes and Alex were drawn to venues steeped with culture, with a connection to nature. He had proposed to her inside the Glyptoteket museum atrium and garden in Copenhagen—they wanted similar staples with their Mexican venue, Museo Casa de la Bola. “It's this beautiful garden, but also an old house that's a museum, so it really made sense. It fit exactly what we'd hoped for,” says Mercedes. Plus, the visuals were thoroughly Mexican, another requirement on their list. “It's a hacienda with big stone columns, and you can feel the Latin influence in the architecture,” explains Alex."
