"Built: 1835 The 19th-century Rambagh Palace is often referred to as the “Jewel of Jaipur.” Originally home to one of the then-reigning queen's handmaidens, Rambagh Palace was later turned into a royal guest house, hunting lodge, and eventually a hotel. Many of the opulent touches (marbled corridors, stately lawns and gardens) hark back to the hotel's origins—for example, its restaurant, Steam, is located in a restored vintage train."
