"Part corner store, part hidden restaurant located in a Northridge strip mall, this Sri Lankan specialist turns out some of the Valley’s most flavorful food. Back in 2016, Premil and Koshalie Jayasinghe took over a Mexican restaurant that had been open for the prior 15 years. In the last decade, the Jayasinghes introduced Sri Lankan favorites like roti, yellow curry, biryani, and lamprais — a banana leaf-wrapped sampler of “takeout food” that includes meat curry, eggplant curry, sambal, and a boiled egg with a mound of rice. Longtime regulars can be comforted in knowing that Mexican dishes like huevos rancheros and carne asada remain on the menu, making this Sri Lankan-Mexican restaurant one of the most unique places to eat in the Valley." - Rebecca Roland, Mona Holmes, Matthew Kang
