"At a new cloud kitchen in Uptown, I found that M Express Thai Kitchen—opened by Lukkaew Srasrisuwan of Kin Dee—aims to make Thai cuisine more convenient and accessible by translating Thai flavors into American fast-food formats and using robots for pick-up. Located inside restaurant co-op Fair Food Co. at 5832 Fairdale Lane (77057), the 13-item menu, developed with Thai chefs O and Bell, features panang chicken sandwiches slathered in curry; a basil beef burger with patties marinated in Thai herbs and topped with Thai basil sauce; a green curry–smothered pork burger topped with cucumber, lettuce and tomato on a pretzel bun; shrimp nuggets; crispy Thai doughnuts; and a beef Drunken hot dog topped with ground beef and shishito peppers drenched in drunken noodle sauce, along with other burgers, sandwiches, dips and wings with Thai flair. Delivery is available through the M Express Thai and Fair Food Co. websites and platforms like Uber Eats, while in-person pickup can be placed online or at touchscreen kiosks and a robot will deliver meals to a designated locker that diners access via a texted access code. M Express serves lunch and dinner daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Srasrisuwan is reportedly planning additional locations later this year and a higher-end restaurant, MaKiin, slated to open at 2651 Kipling Street." - Brittany Britto Garley
