"It’s not usually a big deal when a new chain pops up in Austin, but most chains aren’t Nando’s. Even with a spacious dining room and patio, the South African chicken joint fills up quickly. It sits on a corner of Mueller that overlooks B.D. Riley’s and neighborhood residents walking their dogs, which makes for nice scenery as you dunk generous portions of grilled meat in any (or all) of Nando’s chili sauces. In addition to quarter, half, and whole chicken, the menu has protein bowls, sandwiches, wraps, salads, cocktails, and beer. Share a big order with a group—there are a bunch of good sides worth sampling, like the brussels sprouts topped with housemade ranch." - Matthew Jacobs
