American Restaurant · Eden Prairie
The sushi isn't the only great thing at Kona Grill. The Lemon Garlic Penne Pasta is just the right amount of zesty and deliciously cheesy!

You know a restaurant's food is going to be great when the entrance is in the cut and you have to enter from the back door! Minneapolis is known for having the greatest Somali population outside of the country itself. It's virtually impossible to find great authentic Somali food outside of Minneapolis. Somali rice has a taste of its own so ask for the "Sports plate," this will include your choice of rice, pasta, or both, and then your choice of meat. I personally recommend the "Chicken Kutaleti" which is crispy chicken breast slices. Ask for the green hot sauce and a banana, as bananas are customary with Somali food! When you take a bite of your food, make sure you get everything in that first bite: rice, chicken, hot sauce, and banana. Then follow it up with a bite from the lettuce with ranch or whatever dressing you prefer. Its a blast of flavors that I hope you enjoy!
Coffee Shop · Lowry Hill East
the orgasmic chai is called that for a reason. just the right amount of cinnamon which i absolutely love.
Mexican Restaurant · Spring Lake Park
If you come to Minneapolis and don't try Mexican food, you're doing it all wrong. Living in Minneapolis, I've had my fair share of elotes but nothing beats La Michoacana's Elote! Ask for the Elote on a stick with extra chili and butter on top. And if you want a cool and sweet drink to pair it with, get their Horchata (rice milk)!
