Noodles are amazingly tasty. Also like the fish ball soup, soft but springy. Small plates are also yummy. Traditional Shanghai style cuisine.

Since moving to Taichung, I've been on the hunt for exceptional 红油炒手 and for the most part, been continually disappointed. No such longer after trying the dish here. The tightly-wrapped wontons are bursting with meaty goodness and served in a wonderfully fragrant sauce, then dusted with ground Siquan peppercorns, leaving your tongue and lips basking in a tingly sensation of warmth. The noodles (炸酱面) were equally fantastic and the owner is very hospitable. He takes well-deserved pride in his craft. Easy 5 stars!

Best Noodles and Dumplings that i've found in Taichung after being here for 5 weeks.

It was so delicious that I was willing to wait 6 hours after lunch to write a review. We lined up at about 12:30 noon. There were 9 groups of customers waiting in front of us. It took about 25 minutes to get a seat. If you are eating alone, you may be able to cut in line at any time. You can take the form and order while you are waiting in line. Even though the boss was busy, he still entertained us with a smile. The two ordered blanched vegetables, handmade fish ball soup, stir-fried pork with red oil, Shanghai scallion oil noodles, and Kung Fu pickled mustard greens soup noodles. After taking the first bite, I understood how the Google Map's rating of over a thousand times came about. Each affordable dish had its own layer of flavor. The vegetables were fresh, the fish balls were springy, the red oil grass was chewy, and the noodles were still chewy until the end. I would like to eat it again if I have the chance.

Simple but delicious! Can’t get better than this!
