Tickets can be purchased through the official Canton Tower website, major travel apps like Trip.com, Ctrip, or Meituan, or at the on‑site ticket office. To avoid long queues, it’s best to book online, choose weekday mornings or late evenings, and arrive early if you plan to ride the Bubble Tram. Getting there is easy: take Metro Line 3 or APM Line to Canton Tower Station, which exits directly beside the tower. You can also take buses that stop at Canton Tower West or Canton Tower East, but the metro is the fastest and most convenient option.

Canton Tower is iconic from the outside, but the experience inside is honestly underwhelming unless you pay for the most expensive tickets. If you don’t go all the way to the top level, the views aren’t great—many are blocked by thick pillars, and the windows are murky and dirty, which really ruins the scenery. The bubble tram at the top is quite nice and offers a unique experience, but the ticket prices are exorbitant and feel hard to justify for what you get. Overall, it’s worth a look if you’re already in Guangzhou, but don’t expect much unless you’re willing to spend a lot.

Canton Tower is quite nice and worth a short visit if you have nothing else planned. I’ve seen many towers around the world, so it didn’t feel very special to me, but the view and atmosphere are pleasant for a casual walk. However, one irritating thing is the large number of freelance photographers loitering around, constantly approaching visitors to take photos for a fee. It can be quite annoying and ruins the relaxed experience a bit.

Canton Tower was an amzing experience, at 460m high, the views are exhilirating. The Ferris Wheel is a must! And the view from the Ferris Wheel "bubbles" is breath taking. Lots of photo opps in the bubble. The 433 m photo booth is scary, you basically stand in toughened glass, and smile! Holy crap my knees were mellowed! You have to pay for the photos they take for you (souvenir) and they are friendly to take photos with your camera or phone ( not paid) If you are visiting during the cooler months (November-March) prepare with a wind breaker and warm clothes, just in case. It is best to book in advance, I used one of the apps, android users can use Trip Advisor, or Kook, and the like, and make sure to book the correct packages, some have the Ferris wheel, but not the outlook, some have the top of the tower without the Ferris Wheel. So make sure to book what you want. There are souvenir shops, sellers will not push you to purchase, and are very helpful and respectful. There is a small cafe on the way down from the tour (near the 108th floor). I could see there was a mediterranean restaurant, but it was closed at the time of my tour. There was a French restaurant, but I did not try it. And there was another one, but I could not tell what it was or was it good or not. The visit was professionally done, efficient, and everything was clear. Guangzhou without Canton Tower would be a mistake. The 1-story shopping mall below is nice, with some interesting shops, especially the Dragon shop. They had lots of cute Dragon statuettes, and other curiousitites.

I booked my visit to Canton Tower through Trip.com, and the whole process was super easy. The experience itself was amazing because the sightseeing is done in the bubble tram, which makes it even more fun and unique. From the bubble tram, you get stunning views of the sky and clouds, and you can see the entire city of Guangzhou from above. It’s such a cool way to take in the city, and the views are absolutely breathtaking, especially on a clear day. You might think the ticket is a bit pricey at first, but this bubble tram experience is totally worth the money. It’s a one-of-a-kind sightseeing experience and a must-do when visiting Guangzhou.

It’s really nice, the view of guangzhou is amazing, it’s really expensive though so don’t go in, just stay outside and take some photos.
