"Warmth and character fill this house, which was created in 1916 in the heart of the historic district of Tuindorp. Enjoy excellent service as you enjoy the gourmet culinary delights created by Lards van Galen, whose wonderful dishes (including local game) simply excel. The Chef’s Table is truly an exciting culinary spectacle!" - Michelin Inspector

Restaurant ‘t Lansink, Hengelo » My visit: Jan 2025 » Previous visit: April 2024 » Total score: 4.8/5 – very good » Comment: I thought the food was very good overall. I particularly liked the outstanding starter with crab, the equally outstanding first intermediate course with gurnard and the excellent dessert with tangerine. As for the wines (which were outstandingly presented), I would rate them as outstanding overall. Here I would like to highlight two outstanding wines - a Vinho Verde made of Alvarinho and a Lower Austria auslese made of Gelber Traminer. I also found two wines to be excellent - a white Cairanne Cuvée (Clairette, Grenache Blanc, Viognier, Roussanne) and a Salento made of Susumaniello. In my opinion, the restaurant offered outstanding value for money in terms of the food and wines. The gourmet restaurant easily met my very high expectations. When I am in the region again, I will definitely book a table at 't Lansink again. 1|120|67 ====== My ratings for this gourmet restaurant in detail: ●● Service – 4.8/5 – very good: ● Hospitality, friendliness, obligingness, etc.: 4.8/5 ● Atmosphere, temper, facilitation, etc.: 4.8/5 ●● Food – 4.8/5 – very good: ● Flavors (range, depth, composition, harmony/balance, etc.): 4.8/5 ● Level (thoroughness, craftsmanship, originality, exclusivity, variety of impressions, consistency/diversity, etc.): 4.8/5 ● Choices: 4.9/5 ●● Beverages, mainly the wines – 4.9/5 – outstanding: ● Taste (depth/range, length, complexity, balance, accessibility, elegance, intensity/subtlety, etc.): 4.9/5 ● Level (variety/novelty of impressions, consistency/diversity, exclusivity, etc.): 4.9/5 ● Did the beverages (mainly the wines) match the dishes?: 4.8/5 ● Choices: 4.7/5 ●● Presentation of the food – 4.6/5 – still very good: ● Textures and (differences in) temperatures: 4.9/5 ● Colors and decorations: 3.9/5 ● Timing and sequencing as well as sizes of portions: 5.0/5 ● Special effects (positionings, DIY-effects, sculptural or thematic elements, surprises, color and motion effects, fake effects, olfactory effects, fog or smoke effects, etc.): 3.9/5 ● Procedures at and around the table (attunements and explanations, elements added/changed, service and staffing intensity, involvement of kitchen team, orchestrated dish presentations, preparations and dishes (partially) built up at the table, etc.): 4.8/5 ●● Presentation of beverages, mainly the wines – 4.9/5 – outstanding: ● Procedures at and around the table (explanations and attunements, etc.): 4.9/5 ● Quantities poured as well as timing in relation to the dishes: 5.0/5 ●● Premises and location – 4.5/5 – good to very good: ● Accessibility, surroundings and - as applicable - the view: 4.2/5 ● How did I like the room or - as applicable - outdoor area’s style, decor and atmosphere?: 4.8/5 ● Well-being (space, privacy, temperature, ventilation/odors, lighting, soundscape, sanitary facilities, etc.): 4.6/5 ●● Price – 4.7/5 – very good: ● Price-performance ratio for food: 4.9/5 ● Price-performance ratio for wines and other beverages: 4.9/5 ● Price transparency and correspondence of the expected to the actual price (simple, complete and unambiguous price information on the restaurant's website and in the menu, etc.): 4.0/5

The atmosphere is pleasant and the service very professional. One plate follows another, and the presentation is carefully chiselled to delight your eyes. Their contents are perfectly balanced to enchant your palate and explore unfamiliar territory. Great art. Well done!

Lovely boutique hotel located in the former ‘Stork Guest house building’. Hotel rooms are large, cosy, romantic and conformable. But the hotel is all about its delicious and rightfully so Michelin-star rated restaurant. ||Visit restaurant ‘t Lansink, let chef Lars van Galen and his team spoil you well. Enjoy the lovely courses, drink and love their tasteful pairing wines…and enjoy a romantic night and one of their conformable rooms afterwards

NO RECOMMENDATION AT ALL Asked for a 10 minute later checkout, so 11:10 in the morning. Was not possible, the room was immediately needed for the next day Television did not work, repairmen tried to get it to work for an hour and one said he'll fix it later in the evening... I declined the offer, as I do want to relax in a hotel room, not anticipate on a repairman stop by at a random time. Room was 18 degrees, heating did not work, glad I brought a wintercoat There was an annoying loud buzz, coming fro the outside of the wall behind the bed. Lovely room, good bed, nice bathroom. But the other experiences make me give this hotel an absolute 1. Waste of money.

Had the 8-course dinner with wine pairing at a chefs table. All pairings were spot on and colorfully explained and detailed by the sommelier. The dishes were beautiful, delicious and flawless. Intended to make more pictures, but i was too busy enjoying the evening. Big compliments to the chef and the team! Michelin star well deserved. Thanks for the great experience!

What a terrific boutique hotel. Rooms are perfectly decent with all the usual amenities although air conditioning would have helped in the recent weather. Lovely grounds, excellent staff and sensational breakfast.

A beautiful, boutique hotel in a quiet residential area only a short walk from the town centre. The hotel has an interesting history as a former school, and on street parking isn’t a problem as it’s a quiet area. ||We were welcomed at the front desk with friendly efficiency, and shown to our large, comfortable room overlooking the recently updated garden. All the staff were professional and helpful, answering an issue with access to the hotel WiFi in our room very swiftly. Although this problem wasn’t resolved during our stay, we were able access WiFi in the rest of the hotel easily. ||Hegelo town centre has plenty of shops and restaurants to suit all tastes, and we ate al fresco at The Blue Angel, which we can highly recommend. All the restaurants in the area were bustling with activity with groups of locals and tourists cycling past every few minutes which kept us entertained with some good people watching, which seems to be the local pastime in that part of town. ||Breakfast was buffet style with continental or cooked items on offer and plenty to suit all tastes. I chose scrambled eggs with bacon and mushrooms, toast and jam with watermelon and a coffee; all freshly prepared and delicious. ||Would happily return to this hotel especially at the price we paid through Trip Adviser. Our only negative was lack of WiFi in our room, otherwise I would have given our stay 5 stars.

Wij had booked two nights at the hotel in combination with dinner at the restaurant and enjoyed every second of it. The greeting of the staaf, arranging the chef table for the evening dinner, everything was done to make us feel special and at home. We felt very pampered by the front desk staaf to the breakfast staff and the dinner staff in the restaurant. Everyone did their outmost best to make it all a special experience. We arrived home late the second night and were dying for something sweet and got a wonderful collection of sweets to take up to our room and had a coffee there from the Nespresso Machine. We enjoyed our big room and really loved the food. Perfect place for a weekend getaway. We will return! Thanks again to everyone at the Lansink!
