The Montanara classical bun was delicious. Lobster croquettes from the tapas menu held their own too: crisp, creamy, and indulgent.
Cocktails were a standout. I had the Zabba Espresso and the L’Artigiano—both solid, but the espresso martini stole the show with its creative twist.
Pizzas landed well across the table. The Parmigiana (aubergine) was a hit, and the Black truffle and honey, was masterfully balanced—with mozzarella, gorgonzola, truffle, honey and hazelnut crumble completing and not overpowering each other.
Service was uneven. Long stretches of waiting and flagging down staff who seemed stretched thin between dine-in and takeaway orders and a lack of being kept appraised of the delay in us receiving our food. But when present, the team brought warmth and passion—especially the Limoncello toast to close the evening, which added a lovely finish.
