"We loved Double Luck back when it was a Sunday popup at Tâm Tâm. Now that the Chinese restaurant has a permanent home, we love it even more. Equipped with bright red lanterns, this playlist, and a mesmerizing tableside flambé, the restaurant is meticulously designed for a fun dinner out. It’s hard to resist the urge to order the entire menu, but portions are large. So if you’re just here with a date, prioritize the crispy, glossy orange chicken and the Hunan steamed fish (and go crazy on the vegetables). Also get the crab leg rangoons. It’s a familiar hot, crunchy, and creamy bite, but the clever use of the entire claw ensures you won’t burn your hands. video credit: Mariana Trabanino" - Mariana Trabanino
"Wynwood’s 1-800-Lucky is open with some outdoor seating available in their courtyard. Their hours are Wed-Sun from noon-11pm, and vendors inside the market have everything from sushi and dumplings to Vietnamese food." - ryan pfeffer
"The Wynwood food hall 1-800-Lucky just announced a new weekly music residency. Every Wednesday from 6-10pm, local DJ Mr. Pauer will be playing on Lucky’s outdoor patio. In addition to finally listening to music that doesn’t come from your Spotify account, there are also some very good things to eat at 1-800-Lucky right now - like Vietnamese from Tam Tam and sushi from B-Side." - ryan pfeffer
"Another walk-in friendly food hall to know about: 1-800-Lucky. Keep in mind that this is Wynwood, so things can get very, very crowded (and they sometimes close during Basel for special events, so check their Instagram before you go). But, as long as there’s not an event going on, you might have some luck getting a table here. If and when you do, order some drinks and prioritize two vendors: Jeepney and B-Side. Jeepney is a great Filipino stand serving delicious sisig and one of the best burgers in town. And B-Side is a sushi counter run by the Itamae team, who are to raw fish what A24 is to movies." - ryan pfeffer
"1-800-Lucky is a small food hall in Wynwood. Vendors fluctuate, but there are usually around seven different Asian stalls going at any one time. Options range from ramen to dim sum and ice cream, but your best bet is the little sushi counter called B-Side or the great Filipino vendor Jeepney. Things can get a little loud and congested when it’s busy, especially on the weekend, so come with a few friends rather than a big group that wants to sit together. And then stick around for drinks at the outside bar if it’s nice out." - ryan pfeffer
