This was good ice cream. You have a choice between soft serve and normal ice cream. The line is pretty long but I like the product. It’s hard not to try the soft serve bc most people have only had vanilla chocolate or the combo twist. They had a cinnamon soft serve as well as a coffee, maybe? I ended up getting “regular” ice cream scooped onto a cone and it was very good. My husband got the soft serve and he didn’t like his as much. I’d go back.

Amazing ice cream in a no-frills shop with stellar service! Make sure to come earlier in the day, some flavors sell out and the line gets long at night. I do like the creative soft serve flavors that rotate frequently, but my true favorites are the amazing traditional scoops. There was a blueberry flavor that recently rotated on the menu and it blew me away. 100% recommend!

One of my friends raves about this ice cream shop, so we all went together. I ordered a scoop of vanilla ice cream! There are a few tables inside where you can enjoy your sweet treat, and the service is quick. I feel like you can really judge the quality of an ice cream shop by ordering the simple flavors, and this vanilla ice cream was amazing! The vanilla didn’t taste artificial, had a slight saltiness, and was so creamy that it felt luxurious. I would definitely come back to try more from their menu!

One of the best ice cream shops in the city. They have a ton of unique flavors and are constantly rotating them in and out. Tried a few flavors but the banana pudding and donut flavored ones stood out. Delicious. Stop by and then take some home !

I want to love this place so much, because the flavors always sound incredible. However every time I have been, it is very mid. The ice cream is not flavorful, or the topping is not giving what i expect. The marketing and social media page has me coming back as i keep hoping the next flavor will be better.

I usually don't love to rate low on any place but unfortunately it did not exceed my expectations that everyone raved on about this place! To start, the line, it was long and fortunately a little speedy but there was still a line on a busy block. We decided on the new strawberry matcha latte flavor and off the top, the matcha part was yummy but the softserve was kind of salty? I assumed maybe the latte aspect of the flavor gave it that saltiness but my friend mentioned their vanilla flavor was also salty which kind of threw me off. I dont think I would go out of my way for salty soft serve.

Very small and minimal store but hey the ice cream is great! Only recommend soft serve and they have weekly rotating special soft serve flavor/twist! The hard ice cream flavors sound really good but just not done as well as the soft serve and more expensive

I'm not going to lie, not sure if it's a specific item people are getting to rate it 5 stars but it was very average ice cream in my opinion. The staff was quick and helpful though, and the inside is very small so you have to wait in line after a certain number of people are in and trade off. I got the orange creamsicle ice cream. It was good, but it wasn't above average, and the ice cream is a little pricier as well as the soft serve. I wouldn't go out of my way to get it again though.

I've been following 1900 on Instagram for so long! I almost tried it a few weeks ago but the line was so long! I stumbled upon this location in Fishtown with no sign or anything so it must have just opened! It was a lucky find because the icecream was worth the hype! I had a lemon flavor with crumbled delicious cookies inside. The swirl was strawberry and cookie! Super tastey and can't wait to come back!

I had been hearing how great this spot is and they were correct, their soft serve is delicious! I would definitely come back. They were serving expresso and pumpkin pie custard when I went. I got a twist of both and it was very delicious. I would definitely come back and recommend this spot.

OMG ANOTHER LOCATION, YAY!!! It's located to the right of Middle Child Clubhouse. The design on the exterior and interior has zero thought, I love the minimalism. Lemon Law - lemon based ice cream with literal lemon shortbread pieces. 5/5 SO GOOD. Please bring back the strawberry matcha so I can try it!!! Service moves quickly!

Checked out the Fishtown location of 1-900-Ice Cream partly because we could not find the Rittenhouse Square location, this one is a little tricky to find too as they don't have an overhead sign. Place usually has long lines and sure did as we left, we timed our visit nicely. I got some soft serve Oreo Mint Swirl, delicious. Perfect blend of mint and a hint of Oreo. My wife got it as well in a cone, she loved it as well. They usually have a different special blend of soft serve which differentiates it from your standard ice cream place, cool spot.

The best soft serve I have ever had. It's worth the hype, you must go! There is usually a line but it goes fast. I tried the vanilla bean soft serve and it was delicious, super creamy.

Came here without really knowing what to expect but I was really blown away. I got the pistachio soft serve, dipped in chocolate and I have never had creamier soft serve. I can also really appreciate that they use natural flavors, because you can really tell! Can't wait to come back and try different flavors of their soft serve. I also did try their hard ice cream and it was equally as good and creamy. Really can't go wrong with anything here!

Dare I say it? It's my favorite ice cream place in Philly! I've been ordering pints from them before they had their storefronts and their quality has been amazing from day one. Small batch, locally sourced, crazy fun combinations that will have you scratching your head but begging for more! The hard scoop ice cream is amazing but the soft serve is mind blowing. Definitely follow them on social media to see what's the latest. Small shop with a few tables. Great service. Do not miss this place!

Very delicious soft serve. I got the special- the banana (and pb) swirl. My order was a little wrong and only had the banana, which was still to die for! I got it in a waffle cone, which was very fresh! My one qualm is how poorly advertised this place is! It has no signage, making it easy to walk past unless you know where it is. The inside is also very plane, it's a blank slate with a lot of potential. Think they could add more pizazz

Deliciously sweet and creamy soft serve! Definitely make a stop at 1-900! 1-900 offers an array of soft serve and hard ice cream options. Their speciality flavor rotates with the current flavor being Turkish Coffee and Tahini. I ordered a chocolate/vanilla swirl with rainbow sprinkles. It was absolutely delightful! The only downside is that they only offer sprinkles and sauces as toppings. For other toppings, you must get a large mixed soft serve. I wish there were a small mix option or that toppings were available for regular soft serve. TL;DR: Soft service is very delicious, but toppings are limited!

Long lines. Great ice cream. They have outstanding soft serve like nothing else I've had. And they have unique coatings. They also have hard ice cream. The flavors look unique and amazing. I just can't get past soft serve. I just have to keep coming back

I can't understand what the rave is about this place. $6 for a tiny ice cream cone and not that much selection doesn't seem like the type of place that would have a line out the door but it did. We were underwhelmed.

Love this place, bigger fan of the soft serve than the hard ice cream. No frills just good ice cream in fun flavors. Still really wanna try a Chaco Taco.

Amazing soft serve and flavors change weekly. I have sampled some of their other ice creams but really they shine on the soft serve front. I love that you can get your soft serve dipped in chocolate if you get a cone( highly recommend). I am not surprised that they only have one review on Yelp considering how amazing they are. I say that because it is so easy to miss this business when there is NO sign. You would not know it's there unless you follow them on IG, or you happen to pass by foot. I am guessing this is intentional?

Excellent recommendation from a friend when I visited. Worth an Uber here in the pouring rain for this soft serve! Would absolutely come again.

It's comical how bad our experience was after following this place on IG for so long. Employees are obviously allowed to have a bad day (I've worked at an ice cream shop before, I get it) but I feel like the girl who served us was straight up angry to be working there. She treated us like we were idiots, like she was mad at us. I won't go into detail because who cares. Constructive criticism for the shop itself: let people get their small portion of ice cream in a bigger cup. It's hot out there, it was dripping all over us in seconds. the ice cream itself was fine. hahaha I'm sorry to that girl and to myself for going there. Have a good summer

Very good ice cream, soft serve and service. The soft serve and recent banana ice cream edition was excellent. The service from Em... (on a busy night) was really good. Her patience with choosing the right items was appreciated. Looking forward to returning.

I've been following 1-900-Ice Cream since before the storefront days, and I love seeing their growth over the years. I also love seeing all the new flavors each week on Instagram. One a recent visit to Fishtown, we had to stop by for our first soft serve of the season (our visit was in early June). The spot in Fishtown is not super well marked (no large sign), but we knew they were there. Contrary to the Rittenhouse location, there was no line in Fishtown, so we easily made our way in and placed an order. While their hard ice cream flavors are so fun and full of unique goodies, we had our eyes set on soft serve this time around. The featured flavor this week was chocolate chip cookie, so I got that swirled with vanilla, and my husband got the same. The quality of the soft serve was unparalleled to any other cone we've had in the city. It is incredibly cream but also hearty, so you know they are using top notch ingredients. The chocolate chip cookie soft serve was outstanding - they blended whole cookies into the ice cream to give an authentic taste, but they also added in some cookie pieces etc to give it a bit of texture. Definitely the best soft serve I've had in a while. Plus the presentation was 10/10! I am so glad we ended our evening in Fishtown with 1-900-Ice Cream, and I'm glad we were able to find it despite the lacking signage. Highly, highly recommend for anyone looking for a high quality cone - 1-900 will certainly not disappoint! Please open a location in Bella Vista!!

Stopped in after dinner on a Sunday. It's just always good. Always. I've never met a come here that I didn't like! This visit I got two scoops on a cake cone. It was wonderful!

Fishtown's got a lot of ice cream shops, and somehow more keep popping up. Yet, I always find myself back at 1-900. You might walk right past it because they refuse to put up a sign--bold move, but hey, they know their soft serve is next level. The rotating flavors are top-tier, and while they offer pints and scoopable options, I'm fully committed to their soft serve dipped in chocolate.

love! was disappointed that front street only had the one soft serve flavor (dunkaroo or regular choc/vanilla twist). the cookie butter dip was awesome. will have to try again soon!

I came here last Sunday night and the line was out the door and to the corner! My friend and I kept going back and forth about if we should stay. Especially, when we saw Emily working alone with such a large crowd before closing. Emily was so incredibly kind to each customer and so efficient! She could've cut the line off sooner, but instead chose to serve the line until she had no choice to. She smiled and greeted every customer and never gave an attitude even though she was probably exhausted. The ice cream was amazing and worth the wait (I had the banana pudding inspired flavor, and another flavor with coffee, caramel, and biscoff) but Emily's excellence and kind spirit made the experience worth the while. I will be back again soon!
