Miami’s 11 Best Spanish Restaurants | Eater Miami

"A direct import from Islantilla Spain, 100 Montaditos makes a traditional sandwich seem a little lackluster. With miles of mini baguette sandwiches, the hardest part of lunchtime at 100 Montaditos is editing the order." - Eater Staff

Great place to enjoy a variety of tapas tapas or small sandwiches. It has a wide variety of meats, hams, and drinks. A very pleasant terrace to share.

Google
Closer to 3.5 stars. The food was definitely worth the drive from pembroke pines . First the service really left a lot to be desired . It was very obviously our first time here , and the guy at the register just stared at us. We ordered 8 mantaditos, ( it was going to be 12 but we were informed they no longer sell the sweet variants even though they are listed on the physical menu on the counter .) We pay and the gentleman at the counter hands us a pager with an almost zombie like presence. He didnt say a word to us . We get the food and it was great ! I recommend ordering variants with some type of sauce as the ones without are dry .still good ..Just dry. There was a guy bussing tables, and he was just standing next to our table in the hallway between the dining room and patio . He just stood there staring .... it was 7pm not 9:59 waiting to close up shop. The staff needs some hospitality training for sure , but the food was fresh and a unique concept so we will be back.

First time here. Seating available inside and out. Chill atmosphere. Order is placed at the entry Bar/order counter. Buzzer issued to notify when food is ready. I ordered a traditional tabla española, a side of olives and a smaller portion of chicken wings with a single serving of sangria. The wait time was minimal. Everything was fresh. The Sangria is served when the order is placed. The flavor had the right balance of taste and body, very enjoyable. The bread warm and delicate. La tabla was delicious and the olives 🫒 were on point! Chicken wings is not what I would typically pair with a meal like this but I’m a wing guy and wanted to try. The wings came out crispy well cooked. I would say deep fried and I was really surprised by the overall taste on its own with no sauce, flavorful. The buffalo sauce is traditional which is simply perfect. Overall I would definitely recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The meal as shown with one drink and tip was under $40 Well worth it! Next time your in Miami Lakes stop in for an enjoyable meal.

Google
The montaditos were good, the Paella no so much. The lady with glasses that takes the order is not very nice. Her customer service was nothing but plain and almost seem bothered by our presence. Overall, not so bad i would have given more stars if it wasn’t for the lady that took our order

Google
100 Montaditos is a fantastic spot to enjoy authentic Spanish flavors without breaking the bank. Their unique concept of offering a wide variety of mini sandwiches (“montaditos”) is perfect for trying different combinations and sharing with friends. The menu is extensive, with options ranging from classic Spanish ingredients like jamón serrano and manchego cheese to more creative combinations with modern twists. They also offer delicious sides like patatas bravas and refreshing drinks, including their signature tinto de verano. Don’t missed La crema catalana and the churros, and the croquetas, those are yummy 😋

Google
I understand it was Mother's Day but it's not their first. They have been here for years I hear. I came from out of town and spent a decent amount of money to have to wait 75 minutes for our food was ridiculous. All the tables in the restaurant were empty and they were prioritizing online orders. My Cuban wife gave them a little piece, if you know what I mean.

Google
Great variety of food, reasonable prices and highly welcoming service! Plus: The interior/design with all the pictures on the walls really manages to capture a certain vibe that you might know from small bocadillerias in Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca or Sevilla.

Google
I eat here a few time a month and I have never received bad service! The employees are always polite and are always willing to serve you. They make phenomenal sandwiches and the fries are to die for. Sitting outside is always better in my opinion. They have a wide variety of beers to choose from. On Wednesdays they have awesome discounts on food and beverages. If you like a lively environment, the best time to go is at night. They make food really fast so you don’t wait too long if your in a rush. I really love this place, it’s great for date nights and family outings.

Yelp
Visited this restaurant for the first time and unfortunately I was not impressed by the hospitality neither the food. There were a variety of Spanish tablas, appetizers, platters, sandwiches and also a menu for lunch that included burgers. However I opted for the salmon bowl. The staff member who assisted me wasn't friendly at all. I asked for any fresh juices and she pointed to the juices on top the counter. I ordered a ginger ale. I also ordered fries and I wasn't even asked for the sauces, my ordered came with mayo-ketchup. As for the Salmon bowl, wild quinoa was served with lots of fresh lettuce and arugula with a couple of red onions and thin sliced amount of smoked salmon. Nothing special about this dish just very bland flavor of the salmon and the cheese didn't tasted like mozzarella. As for the dressing the salad was served with mustard vinaigrette. The restaurant looked clean and tidy but it needs to improve on customer service and also get rid of flies inside the venue.

Yelp
The place has a great atmosphere to it ! Everyone was so lovely and nice plus the kitchen was very effective. The montaditos were pretty good, I was hungry so I only snapped a picture of one but the other ones I received were great, especially the guava and cream cheese one. I also think if you are on a budget, this can be a great spot to go to as on Wednesdays they have 1 dollar sandwiches.

Yelp
My coworkers and I went here for happy hour on a Friday it was pleasantly not busy, they do not have a per say happy hour menu but the prices of the food and drinks are on par with other happy hour places. We had ordered 2 pitchers of Sangria and several platters to share. The price was pretty decent for 5 people sharing the food. They had enough seating for groups indoors and outdoors. Ordering was a breeze also. Its more of a fast casual restaurant than an actual service restaurant which is completely fine for happy hour. I have been to 100 montaditos before years ago before they closed down locations and seriously missed them. Im glad this Miami Lakes location is still open. On Wednesdays they also have specials on their sandwiches. We will definitely come back for another happy hour here!

Yelp
Great quality and prices. The Rustic Montadito with smoked salmon is the best in my opinion

Yelp
Delicious food and ambiance. The tapas are delicious and very authentic. Loved the service as well. Recommend the omelette and the #17

Yelp
So this is a great spot on Main Street. I live on Main Street so I would otherwise normally come here. I brought my husband for breakfast and the service was terrible; they also had no forks. Have you ever tried to eat eggs with fries and ham with a spoon? The food is excellent. The service is terrible. The guy in the photo is rude and has a sour look on his face. Dude if you dont like your job...leave! Manager should fire him.

Yelp
Note - this review is for their food truck Sampled the 100 Montaditos Spanish tapas food truck at the exit one taproom In florida city. The place had many vendors and we were spoilt for choices. This specific food truck carried about 100 Montaditos (mini sandwich and hence the name) options and there's something for everyone to try. I tried the meatball with marinara, tomato- pesto fresh mozzarella and manchego cheese turkey arugula. The mozzarella and turkey ones were my favorite. The meatballs while seasoned right needed to be better cooked. The filling was good but the bread could be fresher. Many options to try so would revisit for their other choices.

Yelp
The sandwiches are tasty, and their Wednesdays deals certainly do a great job of attracting customers, since I definitely went because of it. Overall good vibes in nearly the center of Main Street. Wish the sandwiches had a little more flavor to them, but at the pride and quantity, was worth it. The truffle fries were really good as well.
google avatar

Carolina V.

Yelp
Located on Main Street this is not a bad place to stop for a quick bite but it's definitely not my personal go to. For someone who makes charcuterie boards all the time at home and refuses to buy subs any where this was not for me. Now, if you're into paying for little sandwiches aka "tapas" then by all means. The service was really good though and the sandwiches were okay. For an entrée we had: -Croquetas Manchego (3/5) the cheese was very over powering. -Croquetas Cod (3/5) lacked "cod" flavor. For Tapas we had the following: 03. Meatballs with Marinera Sauce (2/5) 08. Philly Steak and Cheddar Cheese (3/5) 09. Fresh Mozzarella, Tomato, and Pesto (5/5) 63. Fried Calamari And Mayo Chipotle (4/5) 90. Garlic Shrimp, Chipotle Alioli And Lettuce (4/5)

Yelp
Ice spot for grabbing a bite. Sandwiches are small so you can get a few and satisfy your cravings. It does get reall busy at dinner times and there will be a wait to find a seat.
google avatar

Ellen B.

Yelp
I love this place. I get the little sandwiches (probably 6 inches long) and they have, I'm guessing, at least 100 different kinds on the menu. It is also quite inexpensive.

Diana L.

Yelp
Came to grab food @9ish , I know they close at 10pm but no excuse to close the door when they had another person inside ordering , doors shouldn't be closed until customers are out and it's closed time.

Yelp
I went to walk around Main St during lunch with a friend and we stopped here for a quick lunch. The girl at the register was helpful with the menu and a special promo they had which of course we ordered! We had the manchego croquetas, tortilla, olives and a salad. Everything was fresh and very tasty. We both enjoyed a tinto de verano while sitting outside. A fun lunch date! I also signed up for their rewards club since they had good deals and I plan to be back.
google avatar

Yelp
Service was great. Went for my lunch hour and they made it to order and quick. Eggs was perfect. The mix of the yolk fries and chistorra delicious. The Montaditos also tasted great. Will be back to sample other items.

Keibel C.

Yelp
The costumer service is honestly the best I've ever had, the food is to die for, and the ambiance was pretty good too there was nothing really bad about it.

Yelp
Great food and service at a good cost! If you have been to the ones in Spain, it hits the mark!

Yelp
The best mini sandwiches ever. The bread was so crunchy and perfect. The dessert sandwich wasn't bad and the garlic aioli is

Yelp
Place is super cute for a simple lunch. They offer small plates for cheap prices. It's not really place to go and have dinner but almost like lunch and light options. I had ordered potatoes with an aioli dipping side and it was good. It's potatoes so you can't go wrong with that. On the side was a tomato and cheese sandwich served with chips. You can tell by the photo everything looks small and good for sharing. Highly Recommend this place. Service is always on point too.

Yelp
Visit: more than 4 Food:this visit Mine: steak, hot dog, guava, chorizo and fries His: steal, chorizo, serrano Third party: steak, pulled pork, turkey, fries and churros We have come here many times and for some reason werent sold on the quality- this last time the quality and taste was significantly better, try the sandwiches with their cilantro sauce! Their fries are deliciously crispy and so are the churros. Not a fan of the pulled pork BUT had great flavor, a must try Atmosphere:indoor and outdoor seating, small, the music gives it a nice vibe, great for drinking and eating on a budget especially on Wednesday Staff: always friendly and knowledgeable Tips: fries, cilantro sauce, steak, guava and creme cheese and churros! Return: yes!!!

Yelp
Muy buen lugar para compartir en grupo, menu variado, delicioso, buenos precios, personal respetuoso.

Raquel V.

Yelp
I was looking forward to patatas bravas, cod croquettes and a good sangria. I was disappointed, how could they call those potatoes without out the patatas bravas sauce and they tasted as the ones that come frozen, croquettes were tasteless and so was the sangria. We were disappointed to pay $29 for this, we left the frozen potatoes served with a side on mayo ( no alioli) and the sangria and walked away. Insulto a la comida española

Yelp
I order to go , I walked in the place looked a little busy but was pretty clean , the girl asked for my name & gave me my food. The sandwich it's pretty small, like 2 bites & they're gone so order more than 5 or so . I got 12 , the ones with prosciutto & olive oil are all the ones with prosciutto are but specially that one , also try cheesetake, tuna ,
google avatar

Louis N.

Yelp
Well we were disappointed. First impressions are good. Everything was clean. They're practicing social distancing and are taking are the expected precautions. The girl who took my order messed up the order. 3/6 things we ordered were wrong. The food tasted good, but it wasn't what we ordered. My wife said, "You'd have to twist my arm to get me to come back here. " I asked her why and she said all her Montaditos tasted the same. She couldn't tell the difference between the chicken, pork and ham. Guess we'll cross this one off the list.
google avatar

Linda B.

Yelp
Friendly staff. Good food, ambiance was lovely. I would come back. The price is good for the most part.
google avatar

Jazmin H.

Yelp
Stopped by this location for lunch, and the options did not disappoint. Settled on the Valencia lunch option which is a large salad and a Montadito. I opted for the arugula salad and the turkey Montadito. The salad was great, my only comment is on the dressing, it wasn't really dressing, but actual honey mustard sauce. It was too heavy on the salad. As for the Montadito, the sandwich was pretty bland, so I ended up adding some honey mustard, which worked out then. Be warned, there's a special for the Montaditos on Wednesday's, so the establishment does get busy (with in-person, as well as phone orders).

Yelp
I been at this restaurant chain in another's locations and always have a blast. Pros: great house wine and selection with great cost. The menu has great selection and great prices. The tapas are great you can select individuals or as a combo. Service atmosphere very cozy, cleaning all the time the tables. Cons: I don't have it.
google avatar

Daniela R.

Yelp
The sangria here is the bestttt!! We had the fixed tables that come with 5 montaditos each: meat lover, Mediterranean and veggie. They were very good, the Mediterranean was my favorite. The papas bravas were spicy and delicious, (they are a must try!). We also ordered a tuna salad for my aunt (she was on a diet) but she said it wasn't very good (I think she said it because she low key wanted to eat the montaditos) but I wouldn't believe her. Also if you are ordering churros order the dulce de leche ones!! (No pictures because they were devoured too fast :))
google avatar

Angelica G.

Yelp
Great place for small bites and the ability to try a great variety of ingredients, such as cuts, meats, tuna, veggies, and sweets, as well as drinks. Wednesday is my go to day, it wasn't terribly busy for lunch. If you have an hr lunch and work near by is totally doable. Service is good, no complaints what so ever.
google avatar

Michael J.

Yelp
This counter service is a little gem. The food was fresh and quick. I was staying in the area and went back a second time in my week! I almost never do that while traveling.
google avatar

Ivonne F.

Yelp
Gave one star because there is no zero stars. Ordered chicken Cesar salad. Croutons were stale Chicken I am still looking for it. Dressing from Publix and no manchego cheese. Worse salad I ever had, yet once upon the time they were amazing. Also it took 30 min to prepare while the place was totally empty. MASKS yes if under the shin counts
google avatar

Paula L.

Yelp
I haven't been here in a while and they changed the menu! We got a tortilla española and una tabla de jamones y quesos ! We also go sangria and it was so yummy we ordered 3! The aioli sauce was absolutely delicious with the warm bread!
google avatar

Jesse V.

Yelp
I really like coming here every once in a while. Wednesday is the best day since 40 montaditos are a dollar and they have other specials. You get to choose from alot of different flavors. Staff has here has always been friendly with me. Food has been delicious and just a quick, nice spot to eat by main street and take a walk. The dessert montadito with oreos and Nutella is my favorite one. If you don't come when they have specials and you eat alot it does become expensive as u buy more stuff to eat and might not be as worth it. Overall I recommend it to atleast give it a try and see if you like it.
google avatar

Lissy P.

Yelp
I looooooooove 100 Montaditos... feels like I'm back in España! But be warned this is a very tapas-styled restaurant; this is NOT the restaurant for you if you like to eat one big meal. However, if tapas are your jam, you'll love 100 Montaditos. PRO-TIP: Stop by on a Wednesday for the best deals! On Wednesdays, they have 40 of their 100 "montaditos" (little baguette sandwiches) on sale for only $1! This includes all the Original and Classic montaditos. Beside these they have Premium and Dessert montaditos for sale. They also have drinks and local beer on sale for just $2 on Wednesdays. (#happyhour) If you're wondering what a Dessert Montadito is, it's basically deliciousness spread on CHOCOLATE BREAD. (Yes, you read that right.) They have a few options like nutella with almonds, and smores. Definitely worth a try! I also highly recommend ordering a Tinto De Verano. It's like a Sangria.... but better, if that's even possible. Fair Warning: This place gets SUPER packed, especially Wednesday evenings, so it can take up to 30 minutes to get your food. Order a pitcher of Tinto de Verano to ease your wait. I promise you won't regret it!

Yelp
Visited the newer location on Coral Way and 85th Avenue two weekends ago on a Friday night with my wife. Food was good and price fair. I understand that this is not a "formal" restaurant per say and more like a "fast-food" type place as also stated by the employee here... but the improvements we saw needed were the following; First, its' Friday night and the same young man taking the orders at the counter was the same person who needed to stop taking orders from people waiting and clean tables that had become vacant. He unfortunately was apologizing when doing this on several occasions. Note that he was also filling drinks for customers at the counter. This should NOT be happening. Their should be a separate employee tending the tables as needed. The kitchen looked fully staffed with at least 5 persons, if not more. The food was very good but I couldn't understand that a Spaniard place was serving Lays Potato chips with the food plates and not true Spaniard chips like Iberica Chips or other similar available Spanish brands. Also, no Champiñones en Salsa or with chorizo? Anyways, we will be back and hopefully some updates corrected. BTW...very nice employees.
google avatar

Leodenni P.

Yelp
I ordered a Shrimp Salad from here but it hardly had any shrimp. It only had 5 small pieces. I am sorry but for that change the name. It was mostly leaves as you can see. What a disappointment
google avatar

Yelp
Love this place! The manchego croquettes are fire! Love the variety of montaditos! Ordered online and food was ready when I got there.

Yelp
Awesome food freshly made plus the sangria is fantastic all the lil mini sandwiches are fresh the pesto taste so good! Plus my mini Savannah loved this place too !

Yelp
First time eating from this location and I can't believe it took me this long to try their food! My neighbors ordered a sort of Montaditos and to my surprise..... it was delicious! The bread and the fillings are fresh and tasty! I'm hooked!!

Yelp
EXTREMELY NICE, came from a family activity dying from starvation the 8 of us really enjoyed the stay and with a vast menu at 1$ on wednesdays it was perfect for a lowbudget but still tasty escapade, the service was OUTSTANDING I worked in customer service and to be honest i have not seen such pleasant workers anywhere, SPECIFICALLY *Arianna*(sorry for mispells) was very helpful and even past closing hours (10pm) gave us water, and checked in on our experience, overall a very nice place to come specially on wednesdaysFried Serrano HamMontadito SandwichesMontadito Sandwiches

Yelp
Excellent place to meet friends and enjoy ball the food they serve at 100 Montaditos sad we don't have one here in Orlando FL or the Tampa Bay Area. We realty miss it. Had dinner at the one on Miami Gardens and the best attention ever.

Sebastian C.

Yelp
Disappointing... I ordered ahead of time and still made me wait 45min just to be served my food. Their excuse was we "forgot to call you". My food was cold by that time as it was just sitting there even after I asked what was taking so long. Don't eat here. There are plenty of better options on Main Street.

B C.

Yelp
I checked in to Montaditos to redeem a $5 dollar Reward as a regular customer. In addition to a birthday invitation (which rang on my phone at 2 am). As soon I arrived they questioned my identity and the veracity of the advertisement. They made me enter my credit card to double check on my Rewards. In the middle of the transaction with my card inside the Card reader, they offered me to hold my transaction to serve first the only costumer behind me, which I refused because I was first for a reason. I suggested using the second cashier available and being served by other employees standing by. The employee decided anyway to give priority to the person behind me, which caused the costumer to disrespect me by ordering me to get off. Against my will, he took me away. At the suggestion of the employee, I decided to leave and asked for my card and my Refund because they had already charged my American Express card for a service that I had not consumed but they denied me the Refund on the receipt. I asked to speak to the owner but he also refused. Provoking another costumer who was eating to come towards me alleging that with my Refund claim I was making the other costumers uncomfortable. They exposed me to the anger of people twice. In my opinion this can be projected as a scam or a false advertisement to attract clients or steal clients. In short, the indiscipline of people at these businesses are importing misery from countries they are rounding out.
google avatar

Sandra A.

Yelp
The montaditos were tasty and the deals are great. I had the tuna and the salmon with cream cheese montaditos. Tuna was my favorite if the two. My boyfriend was also pleased with the montaditos he chose. I cannot remember which ones he had. Our favorites were the dessert montaditos. If I come back it would be to have another Nutella dessert montadito.
google avatar

Jenni F.

Yelp
I really like this place and its right by my house so its great to stop by for lunch or some quick dinner! They have a great lunch special, but the only thing I don't like about it is that they limit with you with the options, but for the price it isn't bad. My fave time to go is on Wednesdays when they have $1 montaditos but man it gets packed! Be prepared to wait a while and to fight for a seat. Luckily I wrote down what montaditos I liked so that I would be ready to order as quickly as possible. Last time I went, I had 3 dinner montaditos, one dessert montadito, and a Stella for about $12 and it got me so full! So its definitely worth the wait if you have the time.

Yelp
I would not personally rate an establishment as high as I did if it did not have good customer service. Now and days, it's not very common to find both qualities. I've been to the Miami Lakes location various times for a quick bite with my kids and have been taken care of by a young lady (curly hair, glasses) where the orders are placed. She has been nothing short of great. Always welcomes and greets customers with a smile and is very attentive to them after their orders have been placed. Extremely kind and very professional, something a restaurant should always have.
google avatar

Jared S.

Yelp
Awesome selection of unique tapas style sandwiches! Tried it for the first time last night and am writing this review while waiting on my second takeout order for tonight. Definitely a must try if I'm the Miami lakes area. Food last night was delicious and looking forward to trying another three Montaditos. Great fries too!
google avatar

Andrea P.

Yelp
Stopped by for a quick snack before work. It was a Wednesday and it was packed!! I did not realize until after that on Wednesday's they have about 40 Montadito sandwiches for $1 and fries for $2. I believe I saw that drinks and select beers were also $2... either way, great deal! It is a very small location so it did feel very crowded but since it is a tapa style restaurant, you shouldn't be there too long. Service was quick, had no problems. I ordered the capresse style Montadito and a pulled pork with bbq and cheese Montadito. Both tasty, but I want to come back and try some different ones! Will also order more because they're pretty tiny.

Jesus C.

Yelp
I would give this place 0 stars, if only I could. 2 girls working DIRECTLY with food were not wearing masks. That's unacceptable. Strike 1,2,...9 for me. On top of that waiting time was 25+ minutes. I would understand it if restaurant was full, but It was almost empty. Exactly 4 tables occupied and no one in line when we ordered. Strike 10. I will avoid this place until I get word that things have improved for them.
google avatar

Yelp
I'm not impressed at all. The only reason I give this review a 3.5 star review is because Hugo was so nice and attentive. He addressed all of my questions and was very helpful. As far as the food?? What the heck is going on here?! I paid $8 for a salad that I could've easily been made at home. I ordered something clean the Nordic Salad with Tuna instead of Salmon because of my Memorial Day weekend havoc with delicious fatty foods. I got the bowl and I was so confused...is this it?? It's was crappy romaine lettuce (no nutritional value), like 1 oz of Brie cheese, crispy onions, and tuna. Where is the excitement?! If I'm paying close to $9 for a salad put something exiting in it. Decorate it pretty. Give me something! Hugo you were great. Thanks for being helpful. The food was lackluster. Nothing special. Better yet, BLAH. Spice things up a bit for the healthy people please. Use raw tuna instead of canned, put some fresh fruit in it, use quality greens.
