Google
This place is top notch! Every time I go here for a cup of coffee, I get a cup of coffee AND a unique experience I've not had at any other coffee place. The environment is perfect for chilling and studying, and it looks awesome. The employees are great to chat with and make lots of latte art (something I wish I knew how to do). Sometimes the pastries and other food items sell out very quickly, but when I do get them, they're great. Overall, this might be my new favorite coffee shop.

Google
1000 Faces Coffee I had an oat milk lavender latte and it was perfect — super smooth and delicious. My son got a caramel one that was also really good. You can tell the coffee here is great quality. It’s a nice spot to hang out, study, meet up with friends, or just chill. And you can even buy their coffee to take home.

Google
Absolutely fantastic place to have some coffee. Espresso was so good! It was just perfect. It's not that easy to find a decent coffee place in the US. However this place is way above decent level even by European standards. I just can't stress enough how great the coffee is here. Highly recommend it. If I ever be in Athens again, I will definitely visit you guys.

Google
Good cozy place and good coffee! The line is always long, so be ready for that and there is a reason to it. Recommended!!

Google
Such a cool, vibey coffee shop. A perfect spot on a rainy day. There are areas too study, areas to work, and a ton of natural sunlight that lights up the shop. They have a cool jukebox as well. They have a really fun drink selection for the springtime. I got the white Lotus. (Pictured below) The barista gave great tips on where to go downtown and what places to check out. Great shop!

Google
Great coffee shop. Serious about sustainability and fair trade. Serious about coffee in general. Go here if you really care about where your coffee comes from and how it is roasted and how it tastes. This is the kind of business I like to support.

Google
I usually love this place, but today the cortado was very watery and the taste was not same. I was so dissapointed and just throw it away. Training is necessary for new Barista please.

Val Z.

Google
Proper espresso. Not burnt or bitter. Golden Crema and taste top rated. Proper ceramic cup. Barista's are amazing here. Thank you.

Yelp
What a cool place and the coffee lives up to the vibe, too. Win win! We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon before heading out of town and the place was bumping! Seating was a bit limited but we were able to score a few spots at a communal table so we could do a few computer-y things while we were eating and caffeinating. I had a delicious cold brew coffee and an incredible sweet cheese danish, whereas my husband had a latte and a savory croissant. It's a month later and I'm still thinking about that danish! I also love grabbing beans from coffee shops I visit on the road and I definitely went back and grabbed a bag of their roasts before we left. It was that good!

Yelp
Excellent find! Delicious coffee with a great vibe. The music was soothing and the customer service was amazing! I told the barista it was my first time in and she was extra sweet explaining the menu. I went with my traditional coffee drink of a half sweet lavender latte. Wow was it GREAT! Lots of students were studying and hanging out. This place is low key and I love that. They also sell roasted beans. Prices are reasonable. Highly recommended.

Yelp
I love a coffee/tea spot that stays in its lane. Not trying to also be a cafe, art gallery, gift shop, or gelato spot. Simply a welcoming space to enjoy a mug of something delicious in a light filled space. Bonus that you can watch them roasting the beans on site. Cortado and Americano were perfection.

Yelp
This place is a favorite! I've been here a handful of times. Staff is always kind and helpful. Our order's never take long, and it's smells heavenly inside. It's really cool to just sit and watch them grind the beans inside.

Yelp
My husband and I were in Athens to pickup some items and wanted to look for a coffee shop. The original one we had was too complicated to find parking for so we made our way to this shop! We sure are glad we did! Parking can be hassle as well but once you make it you venture off into a beautiful coffee shop! Tons of plants, music, and great vibes! The baristas were friendly and the wait was not long at all ! I got an iced matcha and my husband got an espresso. This was an absolutely beautiful venue, and we are glad we stopped by! We will definitely be back when we are In The area.

Yelp
One of my favorite coffee spots in downtown Athens. They handcraft their syrup flavorings and the staff is always helpful and nice!
google avatar

Yelp
Beautiful presentation and GREAT tasting coffee. Easily the best coffee in GA! Friendly staffs, and lots of spaces to sit down, have a conversation, read book, or just work. Highly recommend!!

Yelp
Great coffee and vibes. The place was full on an early Saturday afternoon but the line moved quickly. Ordered a draft latte so I was served immediately rather than having to wait for my drink to be made. The latte was smooth and delicious. Made with oatmilk and simple syrup so not too sweet and not too bitter. They had different kids if seating, a bar facing the windows, some stadium like seating, tables and chairs and a high top 2 person table. Light and airy inside.
google avatar

Bob J.

Yelp
I was really disappointed that the matcha had no flavor and really just tasted like so watered down like straight milk. Nice atmosphere and would consider trying it again for coffee
google avatar

Yelp
Love this little coffee shop oh so much! Staff is always friendly and lively, and the energy just always feels welcoming and warm no matter the time of day or year. Beautifully and mindfully decorated with lots of live plants. A downtown Athens staple for sure. Grabbed myself a matcha latte on my way out, and of course added some lavender syrup to it with almond milk. It's a small space but has a some counter/bar and table seating if you come to get a little work or reading done.

Yelp
Best coffee shop I've been to in Athens! Great vibes inside. It's clean good music playing in the background. Service was very nice. And the latte was great! It was a great place to enjoy the morning!
google avatar

Yelp
Coffee is SOO good and flavorful. As an espresso nerd, it's not too milky or bland! The shop is gorgeous, the girl who made my drink was so friendly and sweet! Will come back - also love the meaning behind the name ask when you go!
google avatar

Yelp
Fave coffee shop in Athens! The coffee is consistently good, and I love the seasonal beverages. The vibe of the shop is also great -- good for hanging out and chatting with friends or for doing light work. You have to pay to park on the street in front of the shop, but it's cheaper than the rest of the paid parking in the area.

Yelp
My favorite stop in Athens for a dog friendly, air conditioned caffeinated beverage. Dogs are allowed indoors (as of my last visit, that is) and they blast the AC (at least, on hot summer days like upcoming days ahead). But enough about the indoors. most importantly...The COFFEE. I love a specialty coffee beverage and they were offering two that day. While I do regret not trying the Garden Party (an elderflower soda/matcha), I was too intrigued by High Noon to not. Not your basic iced latte - also had juniper berry, green cardamom, rose and honey. Tbh could have also been a garden party lol. I recently had 1000 Faces a couple more times but not in Athens. They were pouring draft oat milk lattes at the Vineyard Fest at Chateau Elan and they were probably my favorite drink of the day, ngl. They also served 1000 Faces at Vortex Doughnuts in Asheville so of course I had to. One of my favorite local Georgia coffees!

Paul V.

Yelp
I travel all over the US and am always obsessed looking for a great cup of coffee. This is the place in Athens...great friendly counter service and a perfect vibe. I'm a cortado guy and 1000 Faces is in my top 10. They care and they know what they're doing...and they roast their own as well. Bravo...!

Yelp
I stopped by for a latte to go. I had the lavender flavor and it was delicious! The barista put a beautiful flower design on it and I wish I could have enjoyed it at the shop tho. The temperature and foam texture was perfect. I put the lid on, drove off and could enjoy right away as I was leaving Athens. Also I tried to call before I went because I wasn't sure they were open during UGA spring break and they did not answer the phone but have prompts. I listened to all the prompts and it seems like the only way to reach them is by email. I took a chance and still drove over there anyway. Glad I did tho!

Yelp
Five star review for 1000 Faces. Great coffee, great crew, and a great place to sit and relax in Athens, GA. I also loved the selection of music. When I walked in the first time, they had Joni Mitchell's Blue album play on their Sonos speakers. The sound was crisp and clear.

Douglas K.

Yelp
Top quality roast Latte well made . Great place to chi Highly Reccomended by a coffee addict
google avatar

Yelp
Beautiful cafe, loved seeing the roasters thru the window. We were disappointed to find that they don't offer all the baked goods on Sunday, and all that was offered was muffins and scones. It's helpful to know the schedule (as pictured) but we didn't see that before hand and were hoping for some savory snacks. The coffee is delicious! The scones and muffins were pretty

Yelp
I am visiting Athens for a week and was looking for a good cup of coffee so was looking by ratings. I found 1000 faces rated one of the highest so decided on them. I didn't go wrong. I ordered Biranu Dulo, a medium roast and found it to be an excellent cup of coffee. I plan on trying some of their other offerings in the coming days. The baristas were very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend stopping in and giving them a try.

Power P.

Yelp
Coffee was not that sweet had to ask for more sweetener and I'm not the biggest fan of the vibe in the shop it was very pride and liberal place.

Yelp
We visited 1000 Faces while vacationing, and I totally fell in love with the lattes they make! Tip: The seating options here are somewhat limited There aren't all that many breakfast items offered here, but the items we tried were outstanding!  I particularly recommend their scones and their chocolate croissant. Service is excellent, and the lattes are made with a perfect milk blend, which combined with the really strong coffee beans they use make for an outstanding cup of Java :-)

Yelp
I heard so much about this place so I decided to stop by the last time I was in Athens! I was a little surprised that the menu was as short on selection as it was, but I don't have a problem with local businesses keeping the menu simple. I was intrigued by the 3 Porches Chai, which they said was sourced locally. I got it with oat milk, and it had a great flavor with a unique kick. The staff were kind. I do wish that the drink size was a little bigger, especially since there's so much ice. The vibes are nice inside, but partly ruined by the fact that there is no indoor seating anymore due to COVID.

Yelp
Had a Cortada here and it was amazing...strong and smooth! Skip starbucks and go here instead!

TJ H.

Yelp
This is the best coffee, by coffee I mean draft latte and nitro cold brew, I've had anywhere. I have been there everyday of my trip and it's been exceptional. My wife enjoyed the pour over and just their drip coffee as well. I won't miss Athens but I will miss this place.

Monica S.

Yelp
Place isn't horrible but how do they NOT have almond milk, other than only two milk options. I don't understand how that's possible when it's a coffee shop. Definitely should have more options. No cold foam available either. Went to sips coffee and so many more options.

Yelp
Decided to try a new coffee shop today! I think this is a very underrated coffee choice in Athens since it's flooded with Jittery Joes and Starbucks, but I'm glad I got to support this local business! Heads up: as cute as the inside looks, it's take out only :( Wish I would've had a chance to experience this prior to the pandemic because I'm sure it was an experience! As previous reviews said, the menu is relative minimal so I was confused as to what to order. So, I stuck with my usual: iced latte w/ oat milk and caramel added. With no extra sugar added, I'd give it an 7/10! I wish I would've added some sugar before I left to make it sweeter but it was definitely still a hit! Portion was relatively small, but not too little. I believe there is only one other size and it's smaller than the size I got. I also decided to try their scone, I believe the morning scone! I had it warmed up and it was pretty good, a little messy with the crispness and the cinnamon but good nonetheless. In terms of parking and finding the area: there is street parking available. Of course there's a meter, but since it is take out only, I feel like you can get away with running in and out. Overall, loved supporting this local coffee shop and I can't wait to come back and actually sit and take in the scenery!

Yelp
In Athens for the day so what's the first thing I do when I get there? Why look for coffee Ofcourse! After scrolling through Yelp I decided on 1000 Faces of Coffee. I am a coffee snob and I take my coffee drinking very seriously and look down on people who don't drink coffee. Who are you? Why are you like this? This place is awesome You are able to see them roasting the coffee right in front of you resulting in a fresh bean and great coffee experience. I ordered a pour over because a good fresh bean will take this to another level and you will enjoy your coffee even more. Their roast was wonderfully smooth, not bitter or overpowering just strong enough and delicious to enjoy without all the extra crap like sugars, flavors, creamers etc. I enjoyed it so much I brought a bag. Now to find this stuff in Atlanta. They had some pastries but I decided not to indulge but they did look tasty maybe next time. If I'm in the area again I will definitely be back.

Yelp
This is my favorite coffee shop in Athens! They have great cold brew as well as now they have kombucha on tap! Yesssss! They also always have the best random drinks. I tried this drink last time that was like a fancy mint mocha and it was the best fancy mint mocha iced latte that I've ever had. That's why I'm always excited to try new drinks here. The space has good vibes as well and I've always met nice baristas that really get to know you. I'm hoping that soon dine-in opens up again so I can sit and hang out here one day. It's located next to a crossfit!

Lily A.

Yelp
Some of the best coffee in Athens! Super great atmosphere, staff is always so friendly. I love their lavender lattee and a great study spot or even to just chat with friends. However their seating can be limited if a crowded day.

Yelp
If you are looking for a great coffee. Look no further. We are visiting Athens, Ga and looking for a great coffee shop. Yelpers brought us to this coffee shop. Great latte and friendly staff. Made us the great looking latte's. Come and visit 1000 Faces Coffee.
google avatar

Olivia B.

Yelp
Absolutely one of my comfort coffee shops in Athens. Come here for a great coffee and great vibes. Love the decor, staff is extremely patient and friendly, great to do work or meet a friend here.

Kayla W.

Yelp
The revive was amazing, the hot chocolate was delicious, and the latte art was adorable!! I wish there was comfier seating, but amazing vibes and great coffee!
google avatar

Natalie W.

Yelp
The coffee was pretty great but the place was over-crowded and absolutely too busy for comfort.
google avatar

John R.

Yelp
There are lots of places in Athens to get coffee, but there are only two that I go: 1. 1000 Faces coffee and 2. Jittery Joes (Starbucks does not count--it's a pretentious, trendy market with below average tasting coffee.) I drink a lot of BLACK coffee. 1000 Faces Coffee sells GOOD coffee. What else do you need from a COFFEE seller? If you need an avocado -pumpkin coffee with 10 sugars and a twist of gorilla snot, then go to Starbucks. If you want a good cup of coffee--this place has it.
google avatar

RK G.

Yelp
I make sure to stop for a cup of coffee every time I visit Athens. I simply get their batch brew, which is in constant rotation. They had a coffee called Koko Buni at one time. It was one of the best coffees I have ever had. I wish they would bring it back.
google avatar

Josh C.

Yelp
High ceilings, lots of natural light, exposed brick, moody dark blue walls, and lots of plants make 1000 Faces a perfect environment for reading or studying. There isn't a ton of seating or parking. The coffee is good. Although they made me the wrong drink at first, the baristas were super nice and re-made it.

Yelp
I was visiting Athens and looking for a place to do some work remotely - stumbled on to this little shop. It's in an industrial style building with some parking (very limited) in the back of the building. Inside, I dig the vibe -- they have an old-school radio playing local stations, a brewing area that you can view, and several tables/outlets for those looking to work. I ordered the white tea and it was lovely. The staff was helpful, and in general it was a good spot for what we needed. On the con side, the tables and chairs weren't the most comfortable of arrangements - and getting to the outlets was a bit of a challenge. Despite that, we tried to come back a second time and the entire shop was closed off -- so literally, we could work there one day, and then only get take out the next. Sort of odd. In general though, this seems like a cool spot to hang in Athens!
google avatar

Madison C.

Yelp
The aesthetic and ambiance get a 10/10! Sadly, the cold brews and latte we all got were not good :( Hopefully the other drinks are good, but we were very disappointed and wouldn't stop again
google avatar

Sam B.

Yelp
A lot of bean varieties available with interesting flavors. The staff wasn't very attentive and I would actually lean towards calling the person who took our order a little rude. But the coffee was decent
google avatar

Faith R.

Yelp
1000 Faces is located in the Athens area nestled by UGA's campus. Parking: located in the back of the building. Coffee selection: tried the nitro coffee brew with a dash of vanilla and a dash of almond + oak milk very good. Ambiance: a lot of UGA college students come here to study and just catch up with each other. Great place to work and catch up with a dear friend. Callie, one of the 1000 Faces employee, was so kind and patient with me while I made my decision between the chai and nitro brew. I went with the nitro brew this time, but would like to try the chai since it's homemade (including milk from a local farm). Backstory: 1000 Faces Coffee was named after the book "The Hero with a thousand faces." The coffee shop owners wanted to compare the summary of the book where the author discusses his theory of the journey of the hero equating it to the journey of a coffee bean

Yelp
Great coffee shop! The service was standard but the drinks were great! Got a caramel latte and the evergreen matcha, and both were amazing! So glad I stopped by, I'll be there again!
google avatar

Anitza G.

Yelp
The coffee was delicious. I also got a croissant that wasn't pictured and it was also great. The place has a lovely ambience and the service makes you feel welcomed. The only thing I would want them to improve is a bigger place and more locations because it is truly a lovely coffee shop!

Evelyn B.

Yelp
I was purchasing coffee through 1000 faces. Their service is impeccable and they always are so helpful! I absolutely love Ms.Mary! She is so knowledgeable and extremely helpful!
google avatar

Sue Anna H.

Yelp
Great service and incredible coffee. I tried the lavender latte and it was the perfect touch to a cool rainy day!
google avatar

Yelp
I just moved to Athens so this was my first time 1000 Faces and wow -- I had a delicious iced vanilla latte with oat milk. One of the best I've ever had. Simple, classic, tasty. Customer service was friendly, prices are reasonable, the inside was clean, cool (temp wise), and cute.
google avatar

Yelp
Disappointed. Pro Tip to the staff: if you are going to be in food service waiting on people, drop the pretentious attitude. We walked up to the counter where a young lady was making a pour-over 2 feet in front of us. Never greeted us or acknowledged us. When she stepped over to the register she simply looked at us, and never said a word. I said "hello, how are you?"...no reply. So I said "you don't talk much" and she nodded. (Remember me dear?)Perhaps a different job roating the beans would be best suited for this person. Beans don't care if you're rude. Pro tip 2 for the staff: if you're going to wear a mask, try not to mumble incoherent words. You need to be understood. When she did talk, she mumbled something about "mhmnnmhilk? After a few attempts, I recognized she was asking if we wanted whole or oat milk. Coffee was good. The matcha my wife had was very good.

Sevana W.

Yelp
On my first morning in Athens, my friend and I went to 1000 Faces to get a quick caffeine fix and ward off the muggy summer heat. I ordered a cold brew with oat milk and vanilla, and she got an iced oat milk chai. Both were EXCELLENT. My drink was the perfect ratio of bold to sweet, and her chai had a hint of cardamom that made it stand out. The prices were reasonable as well. Our only complaint is that the drinks came in 12 oz sizes (for now)- we could've easily downed double :)

Kailey J.

Yelp
I'm not usually the one to make reviews for I work in the service industry but I have never in my life had such a bad coffee. I ordered a dirty chai and when I say that was by far the most disgusting drink I've ever tasted I'm not lying, not only that but what coffee place doesn't give you a lid for your to-go drink???? Highly suggest not coming to this place.
