"Delicias 100% Express is a new takeout-focused Dominican restaurant specializing in cativias, a typical Dominican street food. The menu will also include snacks, smoothies, vegan and vegetarian options, ceviche, mofongo, and other Dominican treats. It is a joint venture between Lewis Crespo and his restaurateur mother Civelis De Los Santos, the proprietor of 100% Delicias in Roslindale." - Terrence Doyle

Google
Who doesn’t love a good Dominican restaurant?! 100% Delicias Express is a great find in JP. I had their yellow rice, eggplant, and salad and it was very good. I wasn’t expecting the eggplant to be more of a thick sauce but it was flavorful. The portions are plentiful for the price! I also love how this restaurant tries to reduce food waste. Service here is very helpful and pleasant. There’s plenty of street parking available (at least when I went). I am looking forward to trying some of their other offerings :)

Google
I paid $14 for a small plate of stewed beef and yellow rice...the food wasn't the worst but it definitely wasn't the best and totally not worth $14 for a small that only came with 3 peices of beef. That is my biggest complaint. There are much better Dominican restaurants, that offer better quantity, at more reasonable prices.

Google
Fantastic place. Quality food at a great price. This will definitely be a new staple. I highly recommend the chicken, but everything we’ve had is good. The staff is very friendly and helpful if you are not use to Dominican Food. They will help gear you towards something authentic and delicious.

After wanting to eat here for so long I finally got to place an order.... Definitely did not meet my expectations; the Tres Golpe came with 2 burnt eggs, burnt cheese and burnt salami...😒...My order of Yucca fries was also burnt to a crisp. On top of having to wait an additional 15 minutes after waiting 20 minutes for my order. Only thing I didn't have a problem with was the chicken and beef empanadss. Truth be told.

Google
Our dinner was not delicious--the chicken and the maduros plantains were quite dry. This is the second time I go and my first experience was similarly not great. Also, a few employees were not wearing masks, which did not put me at ease.

Google
20 minutes for microwaved mofongo? Wild. Taste was mediocre at best as well.

Pebbles, hold the chaos!

Google
I went in today for the first time and like a true Dominican judging a Dominican restaurant, I tried the Tostones with Salami. (A Dominican comfort food in any Dominican home) The fried plantains were soft yet crispy but without being hard. Mostly soak in water to improve softness and frying process later. The salami was...well salami already bomb-diggity on its. The service staff was friendly and energitic. The place was very nicely decorated, but need more booster seats for toddler size kids. Happy to say I will be back again. 😊

Google
This is my favorite takeout place in Boston. I used to come before the pandemic ALL the time with my boyfriend, a chef from Dominican Republic, and even he was impressed. Pre pandemic there was a guy who remembered us and our orders. I don’t live close anymore but I’m often in JP for work and come here every time for lunch. Mofongo is excellent, chicharrón is perfect, somehow they make it not dripping in grease which I’ve never experienced before. It’s so good. Empanadas are amazing as well. And there are vegan options and desserts. Very generous portions.

Yelp
Long strand of hair in my food WTF!! I used to get food from here weekly. Definitely will not be back. Straight disgusting

Yelp
A friend brought takeout to book club, because the book was This Is How You Lose Her, and really, any excuse for Dominican food, amirite? Anway, let's start with the absolute star of the plates and sides: those chicharrones! Exquisitely rendered, heavily salted, huge chunks (some including bone) of skin and fat and hoooo boy, these are legit. I was supposed to share with the rest of the group, but I pointed out a window and said, "Hey, that car's on fire!" and when they all looked, I ate the rest. I'll pay for this. Karma, she's always watching. Anyway, those the jam. Tostones were solid, but I prefer El Oriental's take. Yucca fries suffered from the take out timeframe - they soften so quickly! I mean, whatever - I saw my next girlfriend the moment they lifted the lid. Chicharrones, will you take this rose?

Yelp
UPDATE: the hits keep coming. Their full rotisserie chicken meal topped with pickled onions with a side of yellow rice plus an extra side of (very soupy but very tasty) beans has good flavors and really hits the spot as a total 2-person meal for not a lot of $. And smoothies are solid too. Note that they close weirdly early though, so be sure to catch them when you're able.

Yelp
WTF! This is what we are calling stew steak 1 slice of cucumber. 4 slices of meat A bunch of white rice $11.25 And it's bland .... They didn't have any other meats either Never again.

Yelp
Their pork mofongo brought tears to our eyes. Literally...like, this was the best Mofongo we've ever had. Let's go back to the beginning. I'm perusing a local JP facebook page, and I see a post about a new Dominican restaurant opening up on the main drag in JP. My fiance is in town, and aside from always getting sushi, we like to eat Mofongo. Good mofongo. I mean, we'll eat anything really...but we can't pass up a place that has BOTH mofongo AND oxtail. Initially we walk past it on our way to get breakfast at another spot, but we stop in first to get a menu, knowing that we'll be back for dinner. Welp, we had to try their empanadas natch. FANTASTIC, light, hot, crispy, and not too big. The spinach/cheese and beef empanadas were perfect little parcels on our way to breakfast. The people were super friendly, and albeit skeptical when we said that we would return for dinner. 8.30pm on the nose we arrive at their door, eager to order our mofongo. They packaged up our oxtail, beans and rice and a little side salad ready to go and we chatted with Sarah (awesome, smart staff) about work, life, school while they make our mofongo FRESH. IDK, maybe 10 minutes later our steaming mofongo comes out, placed in a container and we go on our merry way. Smells GLORIOUS! With mouths watering we open up the container a few minutes later at home and HOLY AMAZING DELICIOUS JUICY MOFONGO. It was moist, not fatty, crispy pork crackling, fantastic flavour, not too salty. I can't stress enough how glorious this was. It came with a little container of golden deliciousness. Now, usually with Mofongo it's either drenched in garlic butter or you get a container of garlic butter on the side. You smell like you're trying to ward off vampires for weeks. But no, this was a glorious juicy parcel...resplendent with a soupcon of garlic, butter, and broth. A perfect accompaniment to literally anything on the planet, but a perfect marriage with the Mofongo. I must now capitalize Mofongo, because theirs is the Mofongo to rule them all. Just...DO IT. Not to be outdone, we also ordered their oxtail. I've had my fair share of oxtail stews from different regions of the world, but I have rarely had one with such complex flavour. IT was perhaps a tomatoey base full of spice and flavour. Juicy and tender meat and a generous helping of stew/sauce was accompanied by straight up mama's cooking rice and beans. Now, I'm always here for an honest review, and the oxtail/rice and beans were a bit cold. Did we notice? ABSOLUTELY NOT, because we gulped everything down so quickly. Only briefly breaking to exclaim how perfect the meal was. For less than $25 for 2 people, we were happy to leave a generous tip and will be BACK FOR ALL OF THE FOOD. Look, they sell stewed mushrooms and a dish of okra. I HATE both of those items, but if 100% Delicias makes them, I'd eat them. GO GO GO GO. Please don't wait. I want them to be around forever. My children need to have their Mofongo.

Michelle C.

Yelp
We got dessert to go: flan, corn pudding (majarete), dulce de naranja. We were disappointed. We will try again.

Sweetty H.

Yelp
If I could give -0 stars I would. Let me start by saying how chewy the "steak" was. Rubber would be a compliment. The steak was black. The beans had no flavor. The rice was mushy, couldve been used as plaster. I give them props for the pina cold and the morir sonando. But Not even my dog wouldn't even eat this food and let's not end it there, they charged me $106 dollars for a $80 dollar order that all went in the trash ‍‍ Horrible!!

Kristine A.

Yelp
Their empanadas are decent but small & they only have one veggie option. I was actually not impressed w/ their tostones though, it was too thick & not really cooked thoroughly. So not sure whether I'd go back or not since I find it disconcerting to see staff w/out masks properly on their face.

Angela R.

Yelp
I don't recommend this place to anyone looking for good food. I got a mount of white rice, 3 pieces of meat and the food was very bland. when I was standing in the restraint waiting for my food I asked the girl behind the counter who was filling my order if that was all I was getting for my $15.75 and a man came out from the back and said yes this is what you paid for. food prices went up. (but if food prices went up, the size of the plate shouldn't have went down) Then The same guy told me I could go eat at a place down the street if I didn't like how my food was being made. Never again will I step foot in that food establishment again.

Leon K.

Yelp
Stopped by to pick up some tostones, yuca fries and chicharones for a party and the food was great. You'll definitely have to get the mayonnaise dipping sauce as it elevated all three dishes which were already delicious to begin with. Freshly made when I ordered, everything had a satisfying crunch and taste. Would bring to a party again.

John R.

Yelp
The chicken empanada had barely any chicken in it. What little there was tasted ok, but I've never seen such as sad little empanada before. It did not with any pink sauce on the side either. The bacon cheese fries were a little better. It's a decent portion size with with a good amount of bacon, cheese, and pink sauce. But charging $13.00 is a joke, especially since I'm fairly certain they're just using those big bags of fries in the frozen aisle. Tbh if Wendy's Baconator fries came with pink sauce, they'd be better than these ones. There is a $6 off coupon on GrubHub so I'm not mad, and maybe some of their other dishes are better, but I wouldn't go back.

Yelp
Beef empanadas - 10/10 Maduros - 10/10 (Especially blazing hot) Passion fruit smoothie - 10/10 (Especially when it's ice cold) First time trying them. Will be going back.

Yelp
First impression is underwhelming food smallish miserable portions (the kind that count the spoons of rice they serve no place in a dominican restaurant which are after all in this setting supposed to be cheap eats after all). This is not a good look for you Delicias you can do better. The Cativias were delicious but way overpriced at $4.00 for the meat or chicken ones more for the seafood ones. So I would say they are cost prohibitive. The guy there went on about how they were labor intensive and whatnot... NO! Way too expensive brougham get it right $2.50 tops for that.

Roselynn E R.

Yelp
I am a frequent customer and love this place, so I hope they read this. We got completely burnt plantains yesterday. They were black, lumps of charcoal. I don't know who thought they'd still be edible. Everything else in the order was great, but wow, I was so disappointed someone actually packaged up those plantains to serve.

Kelly F.

Yelp
I love this spot and i'm definitely coming back soon. We had chicharron, fried plaintains, pork mofongo and yuca fries - it was all delicious! Their customer service is friendly and the restaurant is family owned. If you're in the mood for dominican/latin food you're gonna want to stop at delicias!!

Yelp
What a great vegetarian dinner we just had! I ordered the veggie Monfongo and it was great. Huge portion (allowing me left overs). Both my husband and I loved it. Freshly made and you can taste the difference. We also had the corn pudding which was super too. The staff was very helpful explaining the menu too. Nice friendly place.

Tracy G.

Yelp
I had high expectations of this place, as I have been to Delicias in Hyde Park. I purchased tostones with chicharrón. They sent me off with just tostones. I returned and got the chicharrón. The tostones were undercooked, not well mashed and not crispy. The chicharrón was all fat. I was charged $15 for this meal. My friend purchased the rice and beans, the rice was hard and flavorless. When I went in there a little after 12, the food wasn't ready and what was ready was cold. The staff did not know what food was being made. The food was labeled incorrectly. I am overall very disappointed in the service and quality of food.

Lesley P.

Yelp
With travel plans getting thwarted for almost 2 years we hit on ordering a full rotisserie chicken (for two of us) for Thanksgiving and Christmas to stand in for roast turkey which we had gotten from Whole Foods and was not to our liking. We made our own sides like mash potatoes and it worked out well. We have also ordered here from time to time for a regular meal. We get the chicken, maduros, beans, rice. It takes a weirdly long time to get the actual order and the menu and pricing are confusing to us but they are friendly so it is worth it in the end unless you are in a hurry.

Yelp
5 stars for the food, 3 stars for the service. Let me go into detail: As another reviewer stated, the pork mofongo was HEAVENLY. I mean, really this was one of the best-tasting dishes I have eaten in a long time. It was crispy, salty, filling, and paired really well with the garlicky sauce that it came with (I think this was garlic? someone else can correct me). This really was the center piece of the meal and has guaranteed my repeat business. I also ordered two chicken and cheese empanadas, which I imagine would have been good if that's what I actually received. The labels must have been switched around because I pointed to the tray that said chicken and cheese and I audibly asked for "chicken and cheese" but my first bite at home was ground beef. No worries, they were freakin' delicious but not what I ordered and the person serving me didn't seem to know if there was a difference. The silver lining is I paid for chicken empanadas ($2.50 each) which were slightly cheaper. Finally, I really wanted to try the stewed oxtail so I ordered a small ($12) over rice. The server started to scoop from the stewed beef so I stopped her and re-iterated that I wanted the oxtail. She said "oh sorry" and stared at the stewed meats for a few seconds and then resumed scooping from the beef. I again tried to specify that I meant OXTAIL and was informed that there was none left. Again, no problem but it would have saved me interrupting her if I was told that in the first place. When it came time to pay, the server seemed to be endlessly tapping away and canceling items on the register. I don't know what she was doing but she gave me a few nervous laughs and apologies. I noticed the empanadas still sitting on the counter so I asked her about them and she seemed to forget that I ordered them. By this point a line was forming and there was nobody else manning the food station so I just wanted to get the transaction over with and get home. My total rang up as $37!! This was absolutely a mistake because the mofongo ($10.50) wasn't even listed, the stewed chicken was in there instead for $9, the two empanadas rang up as $2 each (even though the menu shows $2.50), and the small stewed beef should have been $9 but rang up as a large for $22 (there were about four slices of beef so there is no way I accidentally got a large)! In a moment of embarrassment and not wanting to try and have her re-do the transaction (it had taken her at least 5 minutes up to this point), I paid and left. Am I pissed about overpaying? Absolutely but whatever I won't buy coffee for a week to make up for it. Was the food amazing to an ungodly degree? You bet. Give this a try but a few points of advice: don't go an hour and a half before closing, and make sure your receipt is correct.

Yelp
Wow! What a great find. Clean and good light inside. Excellent service by the wonderful couple who own and run this place. We went for the Yuca frita with salsa and were very happy. Sitting in the window you can munch away and watch the world pass by. Don't overlook this place if you are in the neighborhood.

Leah E.

Yelp
Great food, large portions, and amazing people. One of our favorites on Centre St! I tried the stewed chicken with rice and beans and side of yuca fries. Piña Coladas are also super tasty!

Terri I.

Yelp
I really like this place . The owner is the son of the original owner and doing his best . They do a great job catering to all different JP communities (veg options ), and I think it's just really good . Keep up the good work

Zack D.

Yelp
Simpler menu than their location in Roslindale. Good Monfongo!

Jennifer B.

Yelp
I came here for the first time for a Food For All order. The staff was extremely friendly and piled my food high. It was so good I brought friends with me the next time to try it. Fast service and delicious chicken and pork chops!

Gitta S.

Yelp
Great spot for lunch! The food was delicious and fresh with super generous portions. The rice with chicken stew could feed two. The beef empanadas was amazing and juicy and I loved the papaya smoothie. The only thing that initially made me hesitate to even order was the clinical smell (chemicals from cleaning stuff?) and the interior isn't very inviting to eat-in, not quite cozy but perfect for take out!

Michael B.

Yelp
Delicious food from a family-run establishment. My new favorite place to grab a quick, hearty lunch of rice & beans with stewed beef or oxtail and salad.

Ahyana S.

Yelp
Me and my coworker ordered from here last minute today and it was the best decision we made! The pastelitos were so delicious and juicy, the white rice was cooked perfectly and their strawberry banana smoothie was bombbbb. definitely recommend

Jason F.

Yelp
My wife and I went to Delicias for dinner this evening and were blown away by the food! We've eaten at almost every restaurant on Centre Street, and Delicias may be a new favorite. The portions were also huge which is great when you're a big guy like me. Only suggestion to management is to make the menu a little more clear... we were a little confused by the lunch vs dinner options. Keep it up!!!

Janet Y.

Yelp
I was craving yucca fries and veggie burger. Both were delicious and the staff was friendly. I will definitely return here.

Julia O.

Yelp
Delicious Dominican food! Got yellow rice with chicken stew and side of yucca fries. Everything tasted home cooked and was delicious, especially the chicken - well seasoned and tender. Rice was nice and not oily. I also appreciate that it wasn't overly salty. I also got the guava juice which was tasty. Disagree with those who say portions are small. They gave generous serving of rice and chicken. Great local JP spot!!

Patrick R.

Yelp
I work in JP 6/7 days a week and come to this spot for lunch almost as much. Never gets old, always fresh, always hot, always hots the spot. Cannot recommend them enough for anyone wanting authentic Dominican food...or any hungry person in general. So much love for these folks and their food

Enrique B.

Yelp
First visit to this establishment in Jamaica plain good first impression .The person behind the counter was friendly and cheerful. The restaurant is clean and well organized . My wife had the trifongo and I had a pernil sandwich. Both were good and very tasty. The prices are fair for the area we will definitely go back.

Jaclyn B.

Yelp
The empanadas are THE BEST and the management is stellar. I ordered 40 empanadas for an event, and even though they had a flood that day and were basically closed, they made sure our order was fresh and waiting for us. So grateful and so delicious!
