"With locations near the Galleria in Cobb County as well as in Duluth, Dunwoody, and Roswell, 101 Bagel Cafe has become a popular spot for bagels and bagel sandwiches over the years. The New York-style water bagels from this shop come topped with schmear, hummus, or even peanut butter. But it’s the bagel sandwiches here that bring folks in, including a corned beef reuben, turkey, bacon, and cheese bagel melt, and an egg and cheese bagel done five ways." - Beth McKibben, Molly Harris

Yelp
I came here because it was in walking distance of the hotel I was staying in. These were fast and good.

Michelle H.

Yelp
Acceptable bagel quality. Not the best in Atlanta but certainly meets a bagel craving locally. They have half and half and vanilla and caramel coffee creamers to dress your coffee.

Tracey R.

Yelp
I was craving a bagel so I stopped in since I was in the area. First the bagel was hard as a hockey puck! The jalapeño cream cheese had zero kick- luckily I had some jalapeño cc in the work fridge and was able to scoop that into the trash. Secondly- I got a blueberry muffin to enjoy later in the day. It looked so good in the case with a nice crunchy top and was oh so fluffy! I would let the photo speak for itself- but this is why I have trust issues! This is one sad sad muffin.

Yelp
Terrible food and terrible price. Run away. Cook at home than eat here. We got bagel and omelette with hash brown side over the weekend. Hash browns looked like straight out of the freezer. Hard like a rock to chew, cold like South Pole. Omelette was nothing special. Chewy mush. Prices are high and I can get way better and flavored food for this price elsewhere. Owner does not seem to give a damn either.

Jordyn G.

Yelp
At first glance this place seemed off. But my husband and I still decided to order our food thinking... how bad could it be. Our food was okay but nothing special. I then went to the bathroom to wash my hands and after walking towards the back of the restaurant I wish I hadn't eaten there at all. The bathrooms are arguably the worst restaurant bathroom I've ever been in. I felt like my hands were dirty AFTER washing them. Step out of that disaster and look up, you'll find an air condition vent and multiple ceiling tiles covered in black mold. I don't know how this place is still open.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place due to its location buttttt there is absolutely NO ambiance :/. There are GF options (omelets, maybe the hash brown bowls), and the coffee was good (hot cappuccino - my standard drink first time at a new coffee place for a baseline). The food was fine. The staff were helpful and capable. The problem is the lack of any welcoming decor that makes you want to stay. The music was also jarring. It was not clean, and smelled like a fryer. So if you need to grab a to go coffee near Perimeter mall other than bux, this could work. But with Paris Baguette around the corner with its fab vibe, it would be a hard choice to make.

Brannon H.

Yelp
Not worth the time or money. While the food was fine, there is no atmosphere or appeal. Looked like they need more staff to wipe tables occasionally, clean up self service coffee area, etc. The restaurant has 4 top seating in the front and 2 top seating in the back (empty). You order at the counter and then wait for your name to be called before picking up a brown paper bag of food. It's probably better as take a way then dine in.

Yelp
The bagels and cream cheese is/are great and five stars. However, the service is 1-2 Stars, as they always mess up something with an order. Meaning; wrong items, incomplete order, very messy packaging, poor attitude, long wait times, order missing completely, and many other errors. The owner needs to get this under control. We have been coming here every weekend for months now, and feel this place could be five stars if the service was fixed.

Meg R.

Yelp
The bagels are decent but not worth the wait. It was incredibly cringey to watch the two employees behind the counter get orders wrong and give the wrong bagels out to people. I ordered a rainbow bagel and the guy ringing us up said they were out of them. My fiance points behind the register and says, "I can see them in the bin right there." The guy just looked at him blankly. Lol a very strange experience. Needless to say, I didn't get a rainbow bagel for some unknown reason. We waited around 30 minutes for 2 bacon, egg, and cheese bagels. During that time, at least 4 orders came out wrong. We watched the girl behind the counter drop the top to the milk container on the dirty floor and then put it back on. I only ate about half of my bagel because it was overly salty and the texture was chewy. I feel like this place has potential but the execution is just really poor.

Amanda V.

Yelp
Forgot to get pictures but my boyfriend and I both got bagel sandwiches here for breakfast. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese sandwich on an asiago bagel and he got the 101 trio sandwich on an everything bagel. The bagel sandwiches were actually quite good, very tasty and better than many of the other bagel places I have gone to. However, it took an extremely long period of time to make them, we ended up waiting 45 minutes for two bagel sandwiches. While the bagels were pretty good, they were not worth that kind of wait. Maybe we just happened to go in at a very busy time?? I do still recommend this place though because the bagels are good and so are the muffins, just try not to go in at a busy time or if you are in a rush and need a fast breakfast option because this place seems to be pretty slow.

Michael M.

Yelp
Wow this place has made major changes. Faster, cleaner and overall much more pleasant. The crew in amd out of the kitchen truly killed it. Our entire meal was delicious, I'm so glad I gave them a second chance. Hands down most authentic Brooklyn bagels in GA

RJ D.

Yelp
The closest thing to a New York bagel shop in Atlanta. The best!

Kristy H.

Yelp
Ordered a bacon omelet, hashbrown bowl and a sesame bagel. Took at least 15 min to get our food. Neither of us could finish our food other than the bagel, not bc it was too much, it just wasn't good. I don't recommend eating anything here other than bagels w cream cheese. Bagels are good but not in the top 5 I've ever had. If you order anything other than bagels, be prepared to be disappointed. Waffle House is much better plus less expensive and you get more food. The omelet or hashbrown bowl didn't come w any sides. The infusion coffee is good. The 80's porn movie music was great though

Dave L.

Yelp
This place is great! Amazing coffee. And great service! They were busy, phone ringing and 1 teen working, but she was a rockstar, keeping everything moving with a great attitude

Deena O.

Yelp
Absolutely the BEST bagels we've ever had!!! Made fresh daily in house ... not just "baked" there but made from scratch bagels!! Will definitely be coming back when we pass through Atlanta!!

Courtney B.

Yelp
Simple set up. Decent food selection for a coffee shop. I ordered a large iced vanilla latte and it was great. Kieran provided me with amazing customer service. Highly recommend.

Brooke D.

Yelp
I have been coming here since it opened. Since it was Brooklyn Bagels. After today, I won't. This is NOT a service animal. And this lady doesn't care. Meanwhile, there are over 50 people in and out of here and everyone is asking her is that's a service animal, where she states "No". This place has gone downhill since it sold from Brooklyn Bagels to 101 Bagels. Not good. Not cleanliness.

Yelp
Trying to find one word to describe this place..... Tasteless. I have driven by this place a thousand times, and honestly I wish I would have never tried it. However, at lear I now know it is not a place I need to ever visit again! I entered the spot around 11:15 on a Saturday morning. My initial thought was to go to Einstein bagel for a nova lox, but figured I should try a new place. The pics of the nova lox from this spot did not look appetizing. Reading reviews on yelp I started. To question my decision to try the place. The one plus, the guy who helped me was friendly. He suggested I keep it basic since it was my first visit. I opted for an Asiago bagel turkey sausage egg and Swiss cheese combo. When the meal arrived- I thought the bags looked Ike it was previously frozen, and just did not present well. After the first bite- I was not impressed. The bagel did not taste like anything! I only at 1/4 of the bagel sandwich.I also tried their 101 coffee it was also just mediocre at best. My advice, if you just need to put some food in your belly, this will work. If you enjoy the taste of your food-- find another place.

Gen B.

Yelp
PLEASE. HIRE. NON STONER. HELP. I'm a New Yorker and LOVE bagels. It's such a treat for me when I come here. Anyway, there is absolutely NO reason my bagel with cream cheese and lox took 24 minutes for me receive. Like, no reason. This situation hasn't happened once but multiple times. The creamers are always empty which delays the in and out process even more. I have to "bother" the one register operator to fill all the containers. It's just really a shit show. Please hire competent employees. Thanks from everyone who frequents this spot.

Jack H.

Yelp
On a Friday morning at 8 am, I stopped in to pick up a dozen bagels. I asked for a dozen Black Russian bagels, they only had 4. Okay, I asked for 8 cinnamon bagels, they only had 4, so I asked for 4 sesame, but they only had one left. Who is running this place - where is the manager? They need to have much better communication between the front of the house and the kitchen.

Madi H.

Yelp
I've tried a LOT of bagel places in atlanta- this will always be my favorite! Their bagels are TOP tier- if you get a sandwich, you will never forget it Also, they have "coffee ice cubes"- which is amazing for someone like me who takes forever to finish their iced coffee! I also want to give them props- it's obvious that they are understaffed at the moment since covid, and several times I have witnessed their employees being verbally assaulted by privileged customers who don't "get their food on time". These kids working there definitely don't get paid enough to deal with the entitlement. I've been going since before covid, and they have been a great company before and after. Food quality hasn't gone down- it's a hard time in the restraunt industry keeping workers. The verbal abuse DOES NOT help. I've never seen a worker talk back, but I sure as hell would

Lisa C.

Yelp
2nd time in, 2nd wrong order, and what I ordered was not complicated! How hard is it to give me a toasted bagle with cream cheese on the side?? I don't know what the problem is with this place. The lady behind the counter is extremely nice, but something happens between taking the order and filling the order. All I can say is, is, if you decide to come here, be prepared to wait a very long time and get something you didn't order.

Rebecca R.

Yelp
Despite a long line and only one staff person taking orders, the service was absolutely wonderful. The young lady at the register greeted every customer with a smile. She was precise without rushing the customers.

M E.

Yelp
Yummy Turkey on a Jalapeño Bagel was spot on. Order was fast and exactly as expected. Would eat here again.

Chris J.

Yelp
Sadly this place is so understaffed. Was here today, one guy running the register, filling specialty coffee orders and working the orders that are ready. A line almost to the door. I feel bad for that guy at the register because he's always so friendly. Who ever owns this place needs to hire more staff.

Sang L.

Yelp
Came to the shop at 11AM and ordered 1 Sliced Nova on a rainbow bagel. I was told 20 min for anything coming out of the kitchen. Waited patiently 50 mins for my order only to be told that they forgot my order. Waited another 10 minutes to get the order and was called by a different name (only other Asian person's name in the store). Looked at the order when I got home and found that they left the salmon out of my sandwich. Unpleasant experience is not enough expression for what I went through. I'll gladly drive 30 mins for better bagels. Honestly, I don't understand how they are able to operate at their pace with their quality.

Briana L.

Yelp
This place is the nearest bagel place near my partner's place. It's simply that, very convenient. Not the best bagel place I have tried but it quenches your craving. The bagels are not entirely bad and the shop is always packed. So expect to wait at least 10-15min. For some reason today was exceptionally busy so I waited 20-25min for two bagel sandwiches. My favorite bagel is the jalapeño with cheddar with veggie lovers omelet and my BF's is the blueberry with egg, cheese and bacon. Two bagel sandwiches ranged from $10-12. It's over-priced for sure since I am getting no drink with it. Muffins are yummy but again expensive, over $2.

Megan P.

Yelp
I used to love this place but now a lot of the employees are just rude. They never wear name tags so I can't say it is but it's the ladies at the front. The bagels are over priced and almost every to go order is done incorrectly. They have messed up so many of my orders that I have to open all of them before I leave.

Ne'kea W.

Yelp
Very good. I was looking for a northern style bagel with salmon & cream cheese. And I found just that, service was good and it didn't take too long. The cashier wasn't the most presentable but that did not take away from her good customer service skills. ***update: these prices are a bit ridiculous $12 for a bagel. They need to stop it. Smh.

Ashanti S.

Yelp
Every visit is wonderful, I just love coming here! The bagels are huge, very soft and fresh tasting. My favorite thing to order is the iced coffee which comes with ice cubes made out of coffee, so you can enjoy your cup over a few hours and it never waters down! They have several other food items that look amazing but I haven't tried them yet because I'm usually on the go when I come here. If you go in the morning you will have the pleasure of being served by Kanesha who always gives outstanding service with a smile! She is very patient and will explain anything on the menu and answer any questions you may have. There have been times when my morning wasn't going so great and her positive energy and demeanor made it better. She is a true gem and the icing on the cake to a great product!

Nicki K.

Yelp
I always wanted to try the rainbow bagel, mainly cause they're beautiful and IG worthy. When I read that there is rainbow bagels near where I work, I made sure to stop by. Early in the morning, I came by around 7 am. I was not the only one there and there were several other customers that came before and after me. I just wanted the rainbow bagel with cream cheese. I took it to go. Service was friendly and fast. I took it to work and ate it. The rainbow bagel had a little sweetness to it that I like. The worker put enough cream cheese on the bagel for me to be satisfied. After eating the bagel, I am thinking of when I'm going back to try more items. I also cannot wait to go to NYC to eat their bagel! 43/2018

Jonalisa W.

Yelp
If you don't want to wait an hour, don't go on Braves game days! It's generally a B- level quick breakfast pit stop that takes a little longer than needed. Went today on an afternoon Sunday game day and it was ridiculous. I ordered 30 mins ahead on the app and got there and my order for a bagel and eggs wasn't ready. We waited an hour before requesting a refund. The worse part was the service - they couldn't give an answer or estimate on when the order might be ready. Just said "we don't know." Not acceptable and won't go back!

Mark B.

Yelp
Great bagels but very short staffed the past two Sunday's. Only one poor guy behind the register working his butt off. Long line to order and long wait for a toasted bagel with cream cheese. Music is a little loud throughout the place. Please staff with more people on Sundays. You're losing business by people looking in the door, seeing the lines and leaving.

Jason T.

Yelp
My 2nd time to 101 Bagel Cafe and the second time it's taken excessively long (over 15 minutes) just to get a toasted bagel with cream cheese. And there has been no line both times... it's like the kitchen isn't even trying... And the bagel is mediocre.

Marianna S.

Yelp
I just ordered a nova lox bagel from doordash.com, and I have to say, I should have just gone to the cafeteria at work because I've had a better bagel from there. The flavor of the Russian Black bagel was extremely mild, not the deep rye flavor I was hoping for. The lox was fine, not the best quality but I didn't expect that from a chain bagel shop anyway. The thing that REALLY blew me away was that they only chose to put cream cheese on 1/2 the bagel. Is there a cream cheese shortage? Are they trying to say I'm fat? Did someone tell them that this is how you treat bagels? Oof...seriously guys, that's ridiculous. I took a picture that I'll post later, but it looks really thin as you can barely see any cream cheese. What you end up with is a mouth full of bread, capers, and salty lox. Nope. A mouthful of nope. Needless to say, I will NOT be ordering anything from this shop again.

Keysha P.

Yelp
I have seen them try to duplicate a lot of NYC foods in the south.....pizza, cheesecake and now bagels. And while I see that they have gone above and beyond other deli shops by using a machine to duplicate NYC water (unique) some things simply cannot be done right or duplicated outside of NYC. First things first NYC has the largest immigrant population of any city on planet earth (Jews, Italians, Greeks, Irish, Cuban, Chinese etc.). These immigrants brought these foods with them through Ellis Island. When they open a restaurant they are the ones cooking their own native dishes and they know how to do it the right way. The conditions that make these restaurants successful in NYC don't exist here. I have never paid $7 for a bagel with bacon, egg, cheese and sausage.....up until yesterday! We ordered two bagels with bacon, eggs, sausage and cheese. Good bagel but as a born and raised Brooklynite who has been eating bagels all my life I cannot say that this place is selling authentic NYC Jewish bagels. Good bagels but not worth $7. And honestly not sure that NYC water can be duplicated with a machine but they definitely get an A for effort!

Joel J.

Yelp
I used to love this place when it was Brooklyn Water Bagel. But the service there was mediocre at best. Once this changed to a 101 bagel it went downhill big time. I would say the get my order wrong at least 50% of the time and Always have to check before I leave. I went in for the first time in a while, the place was filthy, some guy in the back was more concerned about playing on his phone, and the bagels tasted like they were more than a day old. Save your time, money, and frustration and just go over down the road to Goldberg's.

V A.

Yelp
I ordered two bagels with cream cheese and waited 30 minutes for them. If you are a New Yorker, then you know that we take our bagels pretty seriously. These were horrible; they had a plastic feeling shell to them and almost no flavor.

Nikita H.

Yelp
Decent bagels. Pretty much the same place as Brooklyn water bagels. They just changed the name. It's the same staff etc. I'm sure they just got purchased out. You will often see Clark Howard in the mornings. I see him so often it's not even a big deal anymore. Also. They have awesome rainbow bagels which is an great Instagram picture! The service here is always great and the coffee has great flavors. Such as vanilla infusion. They also have ice cubes that are flavored as coffee so when it melts it doesn't get watery. They have the best muffins but they are SO over priced at 3 dollars each I just look at them through the glass. Their sandwiches egg cheese bacon on a bagel are so huge you can share with others. I go here often so I enjoy this place! Get their cream cheese and bagels when you're in the area.

Fatima A.

Yelp
Man do they need help. These young folk are doing their best I suppose. But they are slow. Don't go if you're in a hurry. Overpriced imo.

Nicole P.

Yelp
Was so excited to try this - what could go wrong, right? 1. The sign says that you line up along the window. This is not what happens in the morning. You line up behind the cashiers. Well, very interesting as we stood in the area by the windows and everyone else was ordering ahead of us by going right to the cashier. FAIL. 2. How long does it take to toast 2 bagels? There was ONE table seated with 4 people, so they were obviously ahead of us... we were to go. Along with 2-3 people who didn't follow the signage to line up along the bagel making window. We waited 12 minutes for two toasted bagels, one with cream cheese. No eggs, no bacon, nothing special. 3. The bagel with cream cheese was COLD. Like not even remotely warm. What a fail. I am so disappointed. No one made eye contact or even apologized to us. I wanted to like another small business, but looks like we will stay with the one that starts with a G.

Courtney S.

Yelp
This place is amazing! When I walked in and saw them making their own bagels, I had a good feeling and was not disappointed. They have a good selection of bagels and cream cheese (which you can also purchase in-store) and give you a hefty helping on each bagel purchase. We got two orders of the omelet/bagel/hash brown combo: (His) pepper jack/bacon/mushroom + Asiago cheddar bagel with jalapeño cream cheese and (mine) turkey sausage/pepper jack/mushrooms + whole wheat everything bagel with veggie cream cheese. My boyfriend was envious of mine even though his was great too! The turkey sausage has great flavor. They also have excellent iced coffee!!! We got the 32oz. after I saw that they have coffee iced cubes to put in it and make their creamers in house! We personally chose the 101 iced coffee which has vanilla, caramel, and kahlua-how could you not?! Overall, we are stuffed, happy, and have an extra snack/small meal for later out of that. We will probably share a plate from now on because it's very filling! Our only criticism is that the potatoes were so-so and not very crispy which wasn't a big deal to us and my boyfriend said he wished the bacon in his omelet was crumbled rather than whole slices. Neither one of these was a deal-breaker for us though and something I'm sure we could mention and have changed the next time we go. Photos: I got so excited that I ate half of mine and put hot sauce on the omelet before I remembered to take the picture. Sorry not sorry!

John P.

Yelp
I stumbled on this undiscovered gem right in our neighboorhood. I found the ambiance to be very charming. This was one of the best egg and cheese bagel sandwiches I've had grace my taste buds in a long time. Easily earned their 5 stars!

Tom M.

Yelp
Got Nova Bagel. Was prepared quickly and just how I asked for it. Service was very quick. Bagel was excellent. Only reason only 4 stars is because inside was filthy. Clean dining area would have got the 5th star. Will be back though.

Erin T.

Yelp
Been looking for a quality bagel place in the area that served honey walnut cream cheese spread. This was the closet I found. I got a toasted blueberry bagel with honey almond cream cheese. It was delicious. I even detected a hint of cinnamon in the cream cheese, which was cool little surprise.

Mscatt R.

Yelp
I love love this place the food A1 the service A1 the look of the place is nice. I love the coffee ice cubes. I wish all coffee spots did that. New favorite spot for my breakfast fix keep up the great job 101 Bagel Cafe

Michael B.

Yelp
Iced coffee there tastes so bad! It's like watered down gas station coffee. When you drink it you can tell it's been sitting there all day. When I poured some caramel milk in, a hair poured out of it. On top of that they charge just as much as starbucks for it. Wow. This was the first time I ever had to return coffee. I'm so nauseated. At least the staff was nice enough to process a refund, but I still can't bring myself to rate this two stars because of the nauseating experiance.

Mark F.

Yelp
Paid all the fees and tip to get an Uber Eats delivery. Ordered a dozen bagels and a sandwich. Did not receive the dozen bagels. A rip off and a major oversight from a "bagel shop".

Stephane P.

Yelp
Place has only one person working and takes phone call orders while you're waiting so our bagel order kept being pushed back. Coffee was gas station quality, bagel average Not worth the 5 minute detour

Juliet B.

Yelp
Our favorite bagel place! New York style bagels with fantastic coffee. The "ice" in the iced coffee is frozen cubes of coffee so it never waters down. Sam Is by far the best- wonderful and quick customer service & incredibly friendly. He brightened our morning and we will continue to come back :)
