My gal pal and I met here for our monthly brunch on a Saturday around 11:30 a.m.
We were told there were no tables available inside (only about 20 can fit) and that we needed a reservation. So, we ate outside. (It was a very warm day.)
She had the short rib tartine, and I had the Nutella Hotcakes with a side of pork belly. I tasted my friend's meal, which consisted of a slice of thick bread, a layer of meat, eggs, cheese, and hollandaise sauce with a side salad. It was tasty. My Nutella Hotcakes consisted of four small pancakes topped with Nutella, coconut, granola, nuts, and a mere sprinkling (you could count them, 2 blueberries and a strawberry) of berries. The pancakes were very thick, and even though they had great toppings, at times I would be chewing on a thick piece of dough. I had to reach for some maple syrup. (I don't care for maple syrup.) The pork belly was flavorful, but a bit dry.
Our bill was $45 for the two meals (no coffee, no beverages), including tax and tip.
The place was packed and people kept coming and going. The server was very apologetic that we had to eat outdoors in the heat.
I thought the food was OK (but a tad pricey for the serving size), and I was not bowled over by anything I ate.
