"La Cocina de San Anton is the restaurant on the roof of the beloved Mercado de San Anton, where locals do their shopping. There's an open terrace for alfresco dining when the weather cooperates, but even on chilly days the wide windows on both sides of the restaurant offer gorgeous views of the city. The menu leans on classic Spanish dishes, with excellent jamón de bellota, steak tartare, and grilled octopus, served with generous pitchers of sangria. It's a busy spot, so make a reservation. "

I’m still eating here, but food is so good I had to review this place. I had the sirloin with bone marrow. I could not believe how good it was! I feel it is re-educating me on how to eat. We didn’t not have reservations. You should reserve because it makes it easier to get in. The “mall like” bottom is deceiving, keep going up. Irene was amazing, super attentive and warm. Your loss if you don’t visit!

Located in the Cuenca area of Madrid. It's a rooftop bar and restaurant. Nice atmosphere. Delicious tapas and white sangria.

Fantastic rooftop bar we discovered by accident in the back streets of the gay zone in Madrid. Great atmosphere, great location and worth a visit.

Great roof top bar and restaurant. Even in the heat of July it was breezy and relaxing. The mid afternoon crowd was basically not existent, probably because I was there during the siesta time frame. I definitely want to come back to check it out at night.

This place was truly one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. Arrived - without a reservation - with a friend that was visiting Madrid and I wish they just said “sorry, no tables available” instead of giving us minimal service with mid, no-flavour food. Waited at the bar for a table which was 20 minutes (absolutely fine as we didn’t reserve) and got served a drink - 10 minutes after we ordered it, when we got a table sat us down with no menus. I ordered the rice dish which had no flavour, and, to be honest, I was frightened to ask my friend what he thought of his. I had to get up out of my table 3 times to find staff for a menu (which we only got 1 for some reason), order our meal, order a drink. Male waiter made absolutely no eye contact when taking our order, and I didn’t ask for the bill as we were still drinking, but he came over with the card machine and proceeded to point it at me like I knew what was happening, and I had to ask how much it was as I wasn’t given the bill/receipt. I would go as far to say all staff members looked like I spat in their coffee. Maybe the exception was the man who cuts up the jamón. Cocktails were nice, not nice enough to ever want to go back.

A fancy tapas restaurant in Madrid. Located near the Chuecca area. It's a hidden gem. It's on the rooftop of a local market. It has an amazing view and decorations. The food was tasty and good looking. The prices were reasonable. I didn't know it existed if it wasn't for my local friend who took me there. I highly recommend it. It's a great dining experience and one of the most affordable ones.

The place itself is very nice, but unfortunately, they're clearly understaffed. The waitress was alone and visibly struggling to attend to all the customers. On top of that, the manager was unnecessarily disrespectful—he confronted us quite aggressively simply because we had only ordered drinks. Ironically, we were actually waiting to order food, but no one was available to take our order. Some reorganization and a serious reconsideration of their staffing would definitely improve the experience.

Yelp
This is a beautiful terrace restaurant in Chueca with a modern aesthetic. We showed up on a Tuesday evening we're able to get a table without waiting, although it got busier as the night went on. It was hot, and they had water misters in the ceiling fixtures. Food was light and delicious and our server was lovely.
