"1111 Peruvian Bistro Pinecrest got its start in Brickell, and while it’s got a new location it’s still serving up the same stellar Peruvian dishes like corvina ceviche, king crab and poached chicken causa, grilled octopus, veal heart and chicken liver anticuchos in panka anticuchera sauce. At 1111 Peruvian each dish is made using traditional techniques and local ingredients to create a finished product that will curb any Peruvian craving." - Amber Love Bond

After discovering AAdvantage Dining I randomly pick restaurants they have available on the app. I mean spend a dollar and get 5 AAdvantage miles per dollar. Perfect deal for someone who loves traveling with easy access to miles. Anyways, started off with a glass of their 2023 Santiago Ruiz - Rosa Ruiz Albariño; very refreshing for Miami hot weather. Appetizer: • Carretillero Ceviche was delicious. Only the name speaks for itself. Carretillero for me, means someone who lies that exaggerates things. Well menu stated that this ceviche was loaded with shrimp octopus hamachi. Upon starting to consume our appetizer we noticed there was only lots of baby shrimp and choclo. I confronted the waiter and he took it to the kitchen came back and said he forgot to mention those items ran out but he never mentioned this when we ordered. Decided to instead switch to their Apaltacho (or whatever the name was which it was Hamachi with Creamy Leche de Tigre) WOW AMAZING FLAVORS. We were happy with our exchange! For our entrée: • Lomo Saltado was tiny but filling. Flavors were on point & perfectly cooked which is very important! • Nibbui Truffle Maki was super fresh, perfect amount of truffle oil and not overpowering. Highly recommend it. • Pulpo Al Olivo Maki was perfectly made into a sushi roll. If you’ve ever had a Pulpo Al Olivo appetizer in Peruvian restaurants. Loved it! As for my friend, showed the waiter a picture from a year ago that someone had posted on Yelp and he stated that was the Pink Flaming Roll; she was happy it was still available. Upon her roll arriving he comes to the table sarcastically saying it was now a White Flamingo roll because they run out of the Pink Soy Paper. AGAIN, why didn’t he state that when she had order. Not only that. When sushi arrived it had nothing to do with the one in the picture. Picture the roll had Tuna , salmon, hamachi and avocado. This roll had only tuna and Kami (fake crab). SECOND LIE OF THE MEAL. After that I was fed up so didn’t order dessert and I was looking at the Suspiro Limeño which is my favorite Peruvian dessert. Upon asking for the check. I always double check and guess what. He was charging us for the Carretillero Ceviche. I go and told him and he’s like oh no worries it’s the same price. I go you’re wrong I saw both prices and I need you to correct your mistake. He came sarcastically with a horrible attitude oh look I took off $3 (I don’t mind $3 but I do hate when I’m being lied to my face). I asked him to print my receipt to double check cause at this point I didn’t trust him at all! I also asked him to remove the 20% tip. I only ended up leaving him $10 because I know waiters earn their income through tip but I refused to leave him a full 20% when he was just terrible in every aspect! Food is delicious but with customer service like this it’s a definitely never coming back again!

Google
One of the best Peruvian restaurants on this side of town. You can't go wrong with the menu, each dish is better than the next. The service is good and the atmosphere is quite nice. The cost-benefit ratio is good. We will definitely be back soon.

We finished eating before they ever brought our drinks. The server was nice but didn’t pay much attention to us and the kitchen was slow. Overall the flavor was good and the fish was fresh but would not recommend this place with so many other amazing Peruvian restaurant options nearby.

Wow 🤩 So delicious!!!!!!! The seafood was so so fresh and tender, my girls had the lomo which was also so tender! We came here for lunch and it did not disappoint ! Definitely will be coming back and recommend to all my friends and family. The service and ambiance was really great 😊

Visited 1111 for the first time on Friday night (1-26-24). I had seen a post on Facebook about their new menu and all of the pictures looked amazing! So, I had to try it. We got there at about 9pm. It was a bit busy, but luckily there was a table for 2 available and we were immediately sat. There are plenty of options on the menu, but I would love to have some pictures with them. I ordered some edamame as an appetizer and we ordered some “fresco” ceviche to share. The fresco ceviche has a kind of thick sauce which I didn’t love, but the ceviche fish was really good. I ordered the Tuna Acevichado sushi roll. It was very good. My husband got the Inka Maki. It was better than mine. We asked for soy sauce and the waiter said they recommend trying it alone first. So we did. It’s good, and I don’t recommend too much soy sauce, but I still prefer it with some. I gave service 4 instead of 5 stars just because it was kind of all over the place. They were very busy. We had a couple of different people wait on us and sometimes we waited longer because they weren’t sure who was taking care of us. But it wasn’t bad service. We didn’t drink or get dessert. The meal was perfect as it was. Not too much, or too little. Our dinner came to $75 with tip. I’d love to go back and try some different sushi rolls and ceviches.

Google
The best Peruvian sushi in town! Every single dish is delicious! Service superb! Great selection of wines! Full bar! Amazing desserts in just the right size! Upscale yet casual. Love the twists they do on the ordinary, making every dish amazing. Martin & Gordo are food artist & not afraid to create & recreate typical dishes that make you say WOW! Can’t wait until the all sushi side opens up...TV’s, sushi bar and bar will complete 1111. Can’t say enough about this Pinecrest gem.

Google
I had lunch, the quality of food is good and fresh and the service is very kind. I ordered the ceviche with avocado, it's fantastic! I suggest to have ceviche mixed. I also had the octopus and the salad are potatoes that comes with are delicious! Prices are standard and good for what they offer.

Google
An amazing experience. Great food fusion sushi 🍣 and Peruvian food. Highly recommend. Owners, manager and service staff are great 👍 I ordered take out and the quality of the product is fresh 👌. I will come back to dining in. The 2 ceviches we order were delicious

Yelp
Everything we had was amazing from the sticky shrimp and one of the best sushi rolls I ever had to the main dish which was the lomo saltado. Everything was high quality and absolutely delicious. The service was great. Put this in your rotation of dine in restaurants in Pinecrest. You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
Everything From the warm welcome,to the excellent food, wine,we enjoy every time The food is excellent, the fish always fresh,we love it and enjoy everytime‼‼

Yelp
Went here on Dec 28,2024 for our 7 year wedding anniversary, service was great food was delicious. We had for starters ceviche, and I had the bao buns, for entree she had the special was squid ink lobster ravioli that was to die for, I had the the lomo saltado. Service, food and drinks were great my biggest issue here is charging 24.95+ $1 for an egg and your plate is lacking meat and tomatoes it's a problem. Again food was great but 5 small pieces of steak and a few fried which the fries I don't mind and the tomatoes 2 small pieces.. I would had definitely gone again because food is good but the meat wasn't I felt like I was eating rice with eggs and fries..

Yelp
Stumbled across this place by accident while waiting for a appointment and needing a quick bite. Place was small, but comfortable- tables are not cramped. Service was great - and fast. The food was actually very good and I will be looking forward to coming back for an actual full dinner or lunch.

Bea F.

Yelp
Great restaurant with great servers ! Small restaurant with a serious kitchen, food has always been great and fresh. They give you shrimp sui mai as a welcome snack. Parking is available in the front and on top of building. Ambiance is great and they have a TV in the back so guests can watch any game going on that night. We ordered : - sticky shrimp - pork bao buns - shrimp siu mai dumplings - half roll of tuna tartare maki - half roll of shrimp lovers - lomo saltado This is always a great option for dinner with family or significant others

Adela M.

Yelp
I had been craving ceviche forever and so when in Miami I try to find local spots that will take care of that craving. After reading a couple of reviews I decided to make the drive further south to 1111 Nikkei Izakaya. This restaurant is not super divey but not super elegant. The ambience is nice and lovely and the staff is super friendly. The food was amazing! Fresh and super flavorful. It was worth the drive.

Yelp
Nice little restaurant at a shopping mall in Pinecrest. I always like to scope out the menu before I go to a place so I can pick up out what I want to eat beforehand. But I'm glad we listened to the specials. They had a slow cooked short rib that day that was phenomenal. I also tried the sushi, ceviche, and papas Huancaina. All delish! They have a must-try dessert: the Suspiro Limeo- probably has a million calories but I don't care because it was that good!

Tiffany T.

Yelp
Was looking forward to given I had seen some good reviews. It's was just Okay! The pork buns was the only fantastic thing on the menu. Ceviche was like any normal ceviche dish, nothing wow. Lomo saltado was a big plate of rice, barely any meat or fries-- to top it off the meat was bland and unsalted.

Elaine D.

Yelp
Hands down best Peruvian in the area! The fish was so fresh spice level was perfect. Can't wait to go back!!

Liz M.

Yelp
I'm only upset I didn't know about this hidden gem any sooner. The staff was so friendly. They allowed us to taste the wine before purchasing. The pork in the bao buns was tender and perfectly seasoned. We had the tuna and hamachi nigiri duo but the tuna was devoured before I got a picture. All the fish was incredibly fresh, like it was just caught in the bay. The hamachi was a delight, melted in your mouth. The duck and risotto was phenomenal. Very tranquil and romantic little spot. Definitely coming back for more!

Yelp
Hubby and I had a mini date night here and loved the food! We were brought an amuse bouche which was tasty and light. I ordered off of the Spice menu, while hubby ordered from the regular menu. We shared the clasico ceviche and pork belly bao buns to start. Both were fantastic. The ceviche was fresh and had those big corn kernels that give a nice crunch. The bao buns...yum...don't miss these! I ordered the short rib as my main dish, and hubby got the pulpo. The short rib was so tender and flavorful. The pulpo typically comes with an olive rice, which I'm glad the waiter pointed out, as hubby does not like olives but was excited for pulpo...not a problem, the waiter offered to swap the rice for a fried rice. For dessert we had the Suspiro "natilla". It comes in a little shot glass, which is the perfect size. It is very sweet (too sweet for hubby), but I loved it. Service was great, the restaurant itself is nicely decorated. Parking is easy. Highly recommend!

Yelp
The food here is fantastic. The ceviche is great although I wish they had more sushi choices.

Bryanna R.

Yelp
great food, amazing service very cute restaurant! they take reservations and offer 15% off (whole menu) during lunch!!

Grace C.

Yelp
Exceptionally friendly staff this is a small establishment in the southern area of US one. I had heard about them through someone talking about it in a salon and thought I'd go check it out for myself. I'm glad I did. The food was yummy but the experience was more of the service.

Francisco S.

Yelp
Great service on a slow night. Enjoyed the sticky shrimp, fried shrimp shumai, duck risotto and sushi. Wonderful all around, with nice music.

Claudio N.

Yelp
Good tasting food, service & ambiance. Dessert & liquor were overpriced, food portions are smaller with a forced 18% tip. We prefer Aromas del Peru & Meraki any day.

J D.

Yelp
- Excellent food - Excellent service - Great atmosphere - Prices commensurate with quality of food

Yelp
We have driven by this restaurant a couple times and kept saying we need to try it out. We finally came tonight and the food did not disappoint ! Our server was a sweet girl who was very attentive to us and helped us pick good rolls. First they gave us each a complimentary shrimp shumai , and it was so delicious. Then we started with the Hamachi Tiradito and the fried dumplings. I love finding a place that has fresh tasting Tiradito with just the perfect amount of sauce. I also love that you can do half orders of the sushi so we ordered half tuna acevichado which had sweet potato flakes at the top of it , such a perfect mix of textures in this roll. Then we got half of the Nibui Truffle Maki roll. This had more of a deeper flavor with the sauce on top. Both hit the spot! Then we ended with some tacu tacu and moved on to dessert. We had their Peruvian version of arroz con leche and it was prob my favorite type! Not mushy and so tasty. This is definetely being added to my list for whenever I'm in the mood for sushi/nikkei!!

Hoosie U.

Yelp
5 stars and here's why. Food and drinks were excellent. The restaurant provides a bite sized tasty appetizer to start. Then we ordered a classic chalanero ceviche. It had perfect acidity and well balanced textures. I had the pork belly with cilantro rice. The rice was refreshing and seasoned well. The pork was fatty and a bit crispy. The dish was topped off with refreshing garnish such as avocado and red onion. Yum. I actually had left overs! My husband ordered the Saltado land and sea. It was a fun fusion where it had noodles instead of rice and big pieces of seafood and beef. He finished his plate. I thoroughly enjoyed the chicha morada and my husband's drink kept giving refreshing vibes throughout our meal. That's because the ice was made with alcohol so when it was melting, it didn't muddle the overall drink. Plus, it was pretty. We ordered the fruit dessert which was a pudding like mousse. It was very subtle but a nice way to end the meal, not heavy. To add to the amazing food and drinks, our waiters were very friendly and attentive. The decor was very nice, casual but chic. Restaurant was clean. There's plenty of parking in the plaza too. We will be back!

Carlos N.

Yelp
Food is always good here. Excellent customer service. The only thing that I recommend is the smoke extractor from kitchen. Normally you get out of the restaurant with all your clothes smelling

Gabriela O.

Yelp
This place is extraordinary, since discovering it my mom and I have become regulars. The food here us so delicious!!! The plates are creative, tasty, and you can tell they use fresh quality ingredients. The sushi rolls are made to perfection! The ceviche is to die for as well. 10/10!!!

Cristin R.

Yelp
Tried this restaurant with my family on Thursday night. I had wanted to check it out for a while, since they were located on Brickell. The restaurant is nice and located in a shopping center on us1 and 127th and is easy with tons of parking. We started with the ceviche that came with fried calamari on top. It was so good and had a delicious sauce that I wanted to drink. We also ordered the acevichado tuna roll which was delicious. For entrees, I had the short rib over risotto. It was exquisite and everyone loved my dish. My girlfriend had the pork belly with cilantro rice which was also delicious. The cilantro rice is almost like a tacu tacu. It was extremely tasted and the pork belly well cooked. My mom had fish with vegetables that looked delicious and she said was very fresh and my dad had the lomo saltado. All dishes were great. Service was also excellent. We finished the meal with a pavlova. The bottom crust was cookie-like and I really loved it. Definitely check it out. You'll be glad you did.

Jany B.

Yelp
I was so pleasantly surprised but his local find. I've never been and decided to go for a quick dinner. The manager provided us with great service and so did the waitress. It was the perfect ambiance for a Wednesday night. Not too loud and lots of locals. Looking forward to returning and enjoying their delicious rolls.

Howard K.

Yelp
MIAMI SPICE RIDICULOUS! We wanted a midweek relaxed guaranteed good food - reasonable - experience. 1111 served it up! We did the outstanding Miami Spice special so for 2 people six courses. The cerviche is always a winner here. A no-brainer as an app. What surprised us was the chicken wings. Initially reluctant to order wings but they were large, juicy and UNIQUE. For Our entrees we had the snapper and the short ribs. Seriously large servings and the star was the INCREDIBLE sort ribs. Melts into you mouth and blossoms on the palate. The corn polenta with it was one you won't find anywhere. The snapper was okay. Large portion. It was accompanied by mussels, octopus and a clam. We took the desserts home as we were stuffed. This is a family friendly and perfect date destination restaurant. Staff and personal attention PERFECT! Come here for Miami Spice.

Luca S.

Yelp
One of the best restaurants in south Miami. Service is awesome. Ambiance is laidback and great music. And the highlight is the food. Mix between Peruvian/Japanese. The food is PHENOMENAL. 5 stars. Highly recommended.

Ashley G.

Yelp
Definitely coming back for more! Wanted to try something new and we ended up here! I'm so glad we did! Great and attentive service. All the food was sooo delicious! Definitely must try!

Adriana S.

Yelp
The food was great, the ambiance was relaxed. The wine was delicious. My review goes to the waiter, he threw us out, we ordered two glasses of wine and two happy hour bites, we were finishing our wine and he brought us the bill, without us asking for it. We wanted to stay there and chat some more time, and maybe order more wine but he gave us the bill like you need to leave. We weren't making any noise or any type of show, we didn't deserve to be thrown out like that.

Joe F.

Yelp
Five us dined at 1111 Nikeei Izakaya in Pinecrest this evening. We wanted to try a newish place and went in for a 7 p.m. reservation. I will offer as balanced a review as I can. But the bottom line is that it was just ok. The menu looked interesting for a group looking for something new. We ordered various items, including the Pork Belly Bao, the Nikkeii Wonton (tuna) and the pan fried dumplings. All very good and well received by the table. Our entrees were good in the end, the problem was the service. Of the five us, three received their hot entrees and the other two had to wait 15 minutes (timed it as it is a pet peeve) later. No apology. No acknowledgement. Nothing - zip, zilch, nada. The fact is, for the prices they ask, they should at least have the kitchen firing in synch and a manager that can at least acknowledge a patron's dissatisfaction with the broken timing. We didn't stay for desert and will have to let quite some time pass before we go back there again. I hope they survive.

Kelly R.

Yelp
two of my favorite things are sushi and peruvian, so when I can get both at one place it's an automatic yes for me. The sushi rolls were fresh, delicious and unique since they had a peruvian twist. I also had the lomo saltado, which was excellent, fries tasted freshly cut, not like the frozen kind, and if they were I definitely could not tell. I also liked the steak medallions they used for this dish compared to a traditional lomo saltado where the steak quality/ cut is different. My only complaint was the lomo saltado portion was very tiny. all and all I really enjoyed it and will definitely be back!

norman s.

Yelp
Went for lunch and the temp inside was a cool 65. Told them to turn it off and they said they did but the air kept blowing for at least 20 mins. I thought my lomo Saltado was mediocre but my wife thought her chicken dish was excellent. When we got the check the maitre di informed us that the check included18 %. That was nice. Some restaurants don't tell you that.

Dani A.

Yelp
I love coming here with my family. The food is always delicious! I love their lomo saltado and all their ceviches. My dad is obsessed with their tiradito and orders it every time. We definitely keep this place on rotation for an easy, reliable meal.

Elian Eduardo D.

Yelp
It was my mother's birthday and she was in the mood for something different. My parents hadn't had Peruvian food in quite a while, so there we went. I had taken some notes about our experience, but I can't find them now, so I'm going to review it by memory. First of all: drinks. My parents got the chicha morada, and they seemed to enjoy it. I got the pisco sour an I can tell you I did love it. oh, they gave us these little appetizers I didn't get the name of, but the picture is below... they are like little dumplings? just one per person, but oh, so amazing. Then I had the Ceviche carrettillero. Sooo good, I can't make it justice. just stop by. My mother loved her dish, only I don't remember which it was (but the picture is below, too) . Overall, a great experience with great service. will be back again.

Maria Alejandra K.

Yelp

I also had the octopus and the salad are potatoes that comes with are delicious! Prices are standard and good for what they offer. Parking: In front of the place.

Yelp
My spouse and I tried 1111 Nikkei for the first time today. We live in the area and decided to go on a lunch date. We arrived at 12 PM, when they open, and were the first folks there. The food was outstanding and came out quickly. We had the lomo saltado spring rolls, bao buns, tuna acevchiado roll, and the carretillero ceviche. Everything was great (spring rolls were especially good). We will be here again. Highly recommend.

Alicia S.

Yelp
Really, really good food. Excellent truffle salmon roll, delicious lomo saltado entree. The sticky shrimp was also very flavorful and unique. Customer service is top notch. This place is great!

Julio H.

Yelp
I haven't enjoyed a good meal in a while, and 1111 changed that for me. The food is well prepared and very flavorful, and it definitively showcased some uncommon flavors unique to Peruvian/Japanese food. I recommend this restaurant to anyone, and even though we may find discrepancies in preference, we all must agree that this place has legit good food, even if it is gourmet. I got a risotto with osso buco, and it was delicious, despite being a Peruvian bistro, right? I got a ceviche for appetizer and it was good, but not the best. The same applied to the "Chupe de Camarones" which was a little bit too much like a "Bouillabaisse". The fries, the rice, and "Suspiro Limeño" were great, as well as my risotto. We also wanted an alfajor, and sadly it was too dry. To their defense, the alfajor comes with ice cream normally. With all this in, my overall impression is that this is a great place to eat. I know what not to order, and I know what to try next. Better yet, I know that I will enjoy my next meal. Service may be a bit weak, but the food is good...

Maria R.

Yelp
My husband and I had dinner at 1111 Nikkei Restaurant located at Dixie Highway, Pinecrest. The food is absolutely delicious!! Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The service quality was truly exceptional. The staff is friendly, attentive, and goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend 1111 Nikkel Restaurant.

Helena A.

Yelp
Another delicious dinner at 1111 Nikkei Izakaya. I came wanting to order their Pizco Sour Chicha Morada only to find out that they no longer serve liquor. They are only wine and beer. So our server put together a Sake Sour Chicha Morada and I loved it even more! Every time we come the food is top notch. My husband only has Ceviche and he's probably tasted most of them. You can't go wrong with any of them. I am very impressed with the practice of asking for allergies and going out of their way to accommodate my gluten free requests. From bringing me an alternate salad when everyone got a breaded item to making sure all ingredients in a dish were safe and suggesting alternatives, our server was outstanding. My meal was Arroz Pork Belly and I'm so glad I got to try something new that quickly turned into a favorite meal. The pork belly was perfectly cooked and the cilantro rice really was a great side for it.

J J.

Yelp
Food is well worth the price. Nice modern yet laid back atmosphere and the staff is friendly and courteous.

BuryMeInMcQueen M.

Yelp
they don't set the proper prep times for online orders. went to pick up an order which was supposed to be ready but it wasn't and made me wait an additional 15 mins. also didn't apologize for the wait. terrible.

Tania D.

Yelp
Was in the area with a friend and stopped in for a quick bite. We decided on ordering appetizers to share. We had the Capon Street Dumplings, the Edamame, the Chicharrones de Pollo, and the Sticky Shrimp. All the food was very well seasoned. The edamame had a little kick to them, but they were very savory. The bits of chicharrones de pollo could have been larger. I felt the pieces were very small. We asked for the sticky shrimp sauce on the side because we thought it would be too spicy, but the sauce was very good. For dessert we ordered the crema volteada, but it's basically a flan. A little disappointed in the size and presentation of the desert. We were the only people in the restaurant on Sunday afternoon so the server and manager came by our table often to check in on us. They were very friendly. Overall the food was very flavorful and if in the area again, I would stop by to try some of the sushi items.

Ed W.

Yelp
Excellent restaurant. We came here based on some reviews I had seen and 1111 truly impressed me with food and service. Their flavors are very good... nikei cuisine shows a very skilled chef. The mix between Peruvian and Japanese flavors is really good. Flavorful yet delicate. Tiraditos, ceviches and rolls were nicely made and presentation is refined and enticing. Definitely recommend you give it a try.

Ana P.

Yelp
Food was great, service was attentive for a while and then the dessert came and it was disappointing. The pavlova was delicious but it wasn't enough for the price. Went on Saturday @6 and it was empty but slowly filled up. The bill came without asking and we were very surprised. It looked like they wanted us out. We didn't appreciate that!

Amanda M.

Yelp
Food was amazing and definitely worth coming and trying it out! So happy to see another great restaurant in this area. The service was great, our server was very very nice! My only complaint is that some of the staff in the back weren't wearing their masks. It made me feel very uncomfortable. Please make sure the staff is complying with cdc guidelines!

Jeff S.

Yelp
Place looks like a typical coffee shop, but the food was delicious. Can't wait to return.

Yelp
This was our first time and it did not disappoint. We started with the traditional ceviche which was good and a nice size to share. Then we had two sushi rolls, the hamachi acevichado and one of the specials- both were very good! We had salmon nigiri which was also good and they were generous pieces of fish. We also had tuna hosomaki. The place is clean and modern. We will definitely go back.

Yelp
Very nice neighborhood restaurant. The food was delicious, starting with the appetizers and through the main course. The braised short rib was extremely tender and flavorful. The lomo tasted very good, could have had a bit more meat. The service was excellent, very attentive and welcoming. We were the last ppl to leave the restaurant and never felt rushed.

Yelp
Came in on a Saturday night with no reservations, thankfully they sat me down right away! It's a fusion restaurant which I was really excited about. Ambiance and service were 10/10. It's definitely a great date night spot. The servers were very attentive and came by our table very often. We were given a fried corvina to sample prior to ordering, it was incredible! Menu has tons of options! We ordered the fried yuca appetizer (sauce was the star of the show!) we then got the lomo and the passion fruit sushi - both were super flavorful and the sushi was super fresh. Dessert was good too, could be better though. I'd definitely come again!
