It's a happening pace as you can see from the photos. There's a bar, nice leather booths, and they have a loft which is super cool where you can get a great view of the Restaraunt and outside windows where you can see what's going on Broughton Street. First the shrimp and grits were better than mine and that's saying something. No really they were spectacular so please get them. A double order would not be too much! Other winners were the crabcakes, and the Oyster Rockefeller. Shout out to the Manager, the distinguished looking guy who greeted me on my second time there...he remembered me! Loved that too, icing on the cake!

My husband and I had our anniversary dinner here on a Sunday evening. When we checked in at the front, the host immediately wished us a happy anniversary and walked us to our table. The ambiance is very nice; high ceilings give the restaurant a nice, open feel. When we sat in our booth, we saw there was a card already there for us, wishing us a happy anniversary: there were two silver pineapple pins attached to the card. I ordered a Planter's Punch, and it was very tasty. For my entree I ordered the shrimp and grits. The dish was flavorful and they were the best grits I have ever had, hands down. My husband ordered the short rib ravioli, and said it was exceptional. Finally, we ordered the banana pudding for dessert. It was incredibly delicious. When the server brought it out, she also brought us two flutes of champagne to toast our anniversary. Thank you, Common, for an incredible, memorable evening!

I have come back here every time I find myself in Savannah, because of their happy hour oysters. It is a big restaurant, very lively, and attractive decor. They also seem to have a lot of staff running around. However, I have not had great service while sitting at the bar. My last review I gave it four stars because of the oysters and inventive cocktails, despite the service. Well, after this last time I have to drop it down to three. It took a LONG time to get any attention, and it was lukewarm at best. I ordered a dozen oysters and a glass of wine. And then waited again. There was only one person shucking oysters and he was working hard, but did not look like he had much experience with the task. I was sitting down the bar near him, and he was struggling. There were tons of people about, and the restaurant was busy, but there was a lot of hanging out and chatting around the bar area and no one helping this poor shucker. When the oysters did come out, there were bits of shell in them. I do not blame him. He was trying. But he needs more training and someone else there to assist. This was probably my last time, as there are plenty of other places to grab my favorite mollusk with much better service.

I had the best birthday dinner here over the weekend. Staff was so sweet and gave me a hand written card on the table wishing me happy birthday! Such a lovely and personal touch. They seated us on the private upstairs balcony, in what I thought was the best seat in the house! We could overlook the entire dining room. It was private but still gave us that feeling of being with others in the bustling restaurant! Our server was also great- he was personal and checked on us throughout our meal. Drinks and food came out in a timely manner. For dinner I tried the pineapple situation - the fish was delicious, pineapple was good. The rice was a little bland in my opinion. For "fried rice" I didn't think it checked that box. Reminded me more of a sweet and sour rice rather than "fried rice". I still liked the meal overall. My husband tried one of their nightly specials, the swordfish. He said the fish was cooked to perfection but felt the same about the red rice side dish that it came with - the rice was boring and didn't add much to the dish. Overall, the main part of the meals (fish) was cooked to perfection and delicious but their rice sides could use some revisions in our opinion! They have an extensive list of wine and bourbon! Even some "exclusive" bourbons & wines from Greece! We are suckers for some volcanic wines & my husband enjoyed the bourbon collection. For dessert we had the seasonal creme brûlée which was a Carmel apple cider creme brûlée. I liked the actual custard itself but wasn't a fan of the chunky apples on top solely because I'm not a huge "Apple dessert" person. The custard was lightly Carmel apple flavored (not fake tasting) - I enjoyed that part! With dessert, they offered us two complimentary champagne toasts for my birthday! It was actually really yummy champagne they served us (not the cheap stuff) Overall, a lovely experience. I'd recommend for a date night or birthday dinner!

My friend had her bridal party brunch here and definitely a beautifully decorated restaurant! Staff were nice and attentive to our large party, which is always a plus to revisit! I was unfortunately not a fan of the menu or the food item I ordered. I'm also allergic to shellfish so I didn't get the full experience of the menu. Some ppl in our party enjoyed the shrimp and grits, and the chicken and waffles. They ate definitely not stingy with the chicken but it is south after all! I ordered the brisket and grits, although not bad, there was a sweet undertone I'm not a fan of on my meat or grits. Overall, not a bad experience. I would be open to trying the dinner menu.

I was visiting Savannah and looking for an early dinner with regional food, relaxing atmosphere and good service. I found it at Common! All the tables were taken with reservations, so I ate at the bar. The servers were friendly and attentive. There a lot of options, and I decided on the Southern White Gumbo. This is their signature white gumbo with crab, mussels, shrimp, andouille sausage, & okra, creamy black garlic & wild mushroom risotto. It was very rich and creamy and tasted great. I would definitely eat here again.

Such a great dining experience! We went all in on the six-course Chef's Tasting Menu, and every single bite was incredible -- from the savory Rock De Jour and Black Eyed Pea Bruschetta to the melt-in-your-mouth Smoked Duck Confit and rich Crab Rangoon Ravioli. Desserts? The Peach Crème Brûlée and Espresso Panna Cotta were perfection. The staff went above and beyond for my birthday with a handwritten card, a cute pineapple pin, and two glasses of Prosecco on the house -- such a thoughtful surprise. Jared, our server, was fantastic, and the retro-chic atmosphere with great music made the night feel extra special. We were the last table in the restaurant, and the team was still warm and gracious. If you're looking for incredible food, genuine hospitality, and all-around good vibes, this is the place. Can't wait to come back!

Amazing service, amazing ambiance, and amazing food. Our family stopped by and split an appetizer and a couple of entrees, all recommended by our nicest host Isabella. We started out with the Gouda Fried Grits; nice and creamy and very flavorful. Great start. Next were the entrees. We all helped ourselves to the Gouda Mac and Cheese topped with fried chicken and a fried egg. This was easily a good dish to have, and I was very surprised the dish was not salty. Sooo good. Bananas Foster French Toast would be a must try when you come here. I'm telling you. Go get this entree. Savannah, Georgia. You keep surprising me! "They're your taste buds. Thanks to Yelp we found a really awesome place for brunch in Savanna... Common Restaurant has a really neat atmosphere and decor - really casual, elegant and hip. But better than the atmosphere was the food. All of the entrees were hefty sized portions. I had the chicken and waffles, and that was hours ago...and I am still daydreaming about it! Perfectly cooked chicken with a mushroom gravy over waffles. The syrup was delicious. It was a wonderful entree and one of the best chicken and waffles experiences i can recall. Our server was do nice and friendly, and really took great care of us. Everyone in our party ordered something different and everyone left happy, full and satisfied!

My wife and I enjoyed dinner here while staying for the weekend in Savannah. We made a reservation in advance and were promptly seated upon arrival on a hot July Saturday evening. My wife was presented with a handwritten card and a pineapple pin for her birthday, which we were celebrating. Things were starting great. A litany of menus was presented to us, including a tasting and oyster menu, the evening's menu, and a wine and beverage menu. It took a few minutes for us to digest all the information and decide upon the tasting menu with a wine pairing. The tasting menu had six courses, two of which we could select from a few options. The first course was a bread course with a small flute of champagne. We asked the person delivering the bread what type of bread it was and also what the butter was. His reply was, "I don't know. I just work here." What? If your job is to bring dishes out from the kitchen, shouldn't you know what you are serving? We flagged our server down, and he enlightened us that it was homemade sourdough bread with truffle butter. It was warm and delicious. My wife picked baked oysters with prosciutto and cheese for the second course. She shared a bit with me, and we both agreed that it was the best dish of the evening. If we were to return, we would skip the tasting menu and eat oysters. My second course was a black eye pea bruschetta that was also quite tasty, but not quite up to the level of the oysters. The wines paired with this course were whites: a Vouvray and a Sauvignon blanc. The server rattled off their names too quickly for us to remember, so we asked to bring the tasting menu back so we could track everything. The Vouvray was the clear favorite with a fantastic bouquet. The next course was a simple scoop of sorbet in some type of sparkling wine or champagne. We have no idea which or from where, as we weren't told, and it wasn't listed on the menu. My wife selected the crab and corn cream cheese ravioli for our main course. The ravioli had an unexpected sweet taste to it. After eating two or three of them, she had her fill. It was not a favorite for her, and it was not helpful that the raviolis were swimming in a sea of sauce. I fared much better this round with an upgraded choice of a rib-eye steak. This thing was huge and prepared perfectly to a medium rare temperature. It came with a fantastic mushroom gravy that added to the steak's flavor. The creamy mashed potatoes were lovely, but the broccolini was a bit undercooked to my liking. This round's wines were excellent--an Albariño white for the raviolis and a red Bordeaux for my steak. For dessert, we both chose the peach crème brûlée. You have to have peaches at some point in the meal while in Georgia. The juice from the diced peaches on top messed with the texture of the crème brûlée, which was not our favorite. We called an audible ahead of time with this course and switched the wine pairing from a Moscatel to a port. The last course was a cute little box with a bow containing tea and tea cookies to take with you. It's a nice touch at the end of the meal. I don't know if the restaurant wants to be a formal or casual venue. The prices suggest the former, while the service suggests the latter. It seems to be stuck somewhere in between. Things could have been better, but they were not terrible.

I've gone back here a few times, mainly because of the location and the fact it's usually close to where I am. The food is pretty consistent, even if some dishes are underwhelming. This time I had the brunch Mac n cheese, which was a HUGE serving. It was gooey, hot, sumptuous. Made with sharp gouda cheese and tangy andouille sausage and bacon bits, it had a lot of flavor. Wish it had a little more sausage in it, but it wasn't too bad. The runny egg on top added another layer of savory. This was probably the best dish I've had here. Will come back and try the mushroom toast and tomato soup next time maybe. Service also tends to be pretty attentive, but this last time they brought me the check without me asking. I usually like to linger and have an extra drink after I finish up.

THE BIG: Located in downtown Savannah on E Broughton street. The restaurant is apparently in a 140 year old building. It's very spacious inside with tons of seating at the bar, upstairs and outside. Limited street parking. THE BLACK AND WHITE: The wife and I came here for lunch after a weekend in Hilton Head. Fortunately we were able to snag seats at the bar to order. I highly recommend getting a reservation here because it did seem busy. For food, we got the crabcake bennie and the steak eggs and grits. The crab cake was nice that it had a decent amount of crab in it. The steak eggs and grits was alright. The steak reminded me of a really saturated brisket. It fell apart and still had the beefy taste but diluted. The sauce that came with it was weird. Almost gravy and really threw off my taste buds. Ambiance is nice and the bathroom is weirdly placed. Likely because it's an old building. but you have to go into the kitchen and then in the back to find the men's bathroom. I believe the women's bathroom is in the dining area. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Total cost for two brunch entrees was around $61. Pretty pricey but definitely give it a try if you're in the area and looking for an americana food.

Truly amazing customer service Unreal drinks and wine list INCOMPARABLE HIGH END SCRATCH FOOD!!!!!!! Sat at the bar after a reservation mix up which the hosts handled perfectly. Hallmark movie bartender/server Evan was everything we needed-helpful, present and more than competent. Not pictured was the banana pudding for two, because we ate a third of it before we realized- get it. Get yourself your own in fact lol. Eat here!!!

Went to celebrate our friends bachelorette and the food was absolutely divine. We were met with a celebration note as we arrived from the staff. The ambiance of the place was also very nice and calm.

What makes a restaurant manager offer to comp half your bill? A VERY bad night. First, they have no reservations on Open Table, but half the restaurant is empty all night. They force everyone to eat at the bar. They forget about people's food for a full hour. When they ask about it, it takes ten more minutes to track it down. Then when it arrives, the hostess actually shows up and asks if it's okay to take you off the waitlist for a table. You and the couple next to you start laughing because the restaurant is still half empty. And it's late and obviously no one else is showing up. Then the food. Portions are huge but gloppy and messy. See photo. Why so much sauce, why so much cheese? Solid 2-3 stars. And finally, when you walk by the next evening, half the tables are empty again and it's 100 degrees but they have reserved signs on all the empty outdoor tables at 8:45 pm. Do not recommend. Stay away.

Everything was great! We had a reservation, but got there a little early and there was space at the bar. You can order full service at the bar and we enjoyed it so much that's just what we did. All of the bartenders and servers were great! They had great suggestions, patience, and sense of humor. The food was top notch and the best meal we ate in Savannah. The white bean gumbo was the best we ever had. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. We shared it all. Our only sadness was they ran out of the peach cobbler that the bartender sold us on haha. Amazing cool atmosphere. Casual and classy at the same time. We will be back.

Came for the 75c prelude oysters, basically their version of Happy Hour. I believe prelude started at 3pm on their website but the sandwich board outside said 12pm. Service was lacking, the restaurant was empty and bartender didn't acknowledge us in a timely manner. Oysters are on special but no drinks - they are the same price as they are for dinner. We had a round of oysters and dipped for Sorry Charlie's instead - much better atmosphere.

Common was one of several stops on a Savannah food tour, and it certainly made an impact! I should be very specific here- that brown butter bourbon based drink- "The Honeypot" was literally the best drink I've ever had (and I'm a former sailor, I've had a lot of drinks...) The one drink we had on our tour was not enough so we returned later that evening for another (and another...) Folks, the absolute taste delight did not end there. Are you ready for this? Picture it! Pork belly sliders... on little donuts. I weep that I live too far away to pop in on a whim for more. This treat is an absolute "don't miss" in Savannah! The aesthetic vibe, the supercharged AC, the wonderfully friendly and attentive staff, the delicious food, the unique drinks make the Common delightfully uncommon!

We visited for brunch. I'd give it more like 3.5 stars. It seemed lacking on the shrimp and grits in terms of flavor, and the grits tasted like they'd been sitting out under a heat lamp. Cocktails were pretty good, and service was great. I just don't think we'd come back here.

My favorite dining experience during my 5 day stay in Savannah. My reservation for an 8:15 pm table for 2 was an easy check in process and were attended to immediately upon arrival. Their wooden aesthetic seemed welcoming and warm. Our waitress was quick and check on us regularly. For starters we tried their specialty oysters and dreamy Brussel sprouts. The Oysters were a flavor explosion with tangy lemon zest, fresh quality and overall perfect umami filling. They had a spicy option and did not disappoint. the Brussel sprouts were excellent and even then that might be an understatement. Their perfect mix of savory/sweet ingredients were tasteful, and plated with the classic slight char, small bits of ham in the appetizer which i adored. They were 10/10 and still fresh on my mind. The white Gumbo was also delightful. It was a truly souther plate that was not overly salty, and had lovely portions of different proteins across shrimp, mussels, and delicious sausage over its creamy grits and topped with sprouts. My girlfriend and I usually share our plates to get a taste of their different selection but this one was one I really wanted to keep to myself lol. For dessert we indulged in their Peachy brûlée. Its crispy top and creamy filling below was an exciting finish to what was an already remarkable dinner. We paired the dessert with some birthday champagne. Easily loved our dinner experience, the staff was very hospitable and food is to live for! I 100% recommend this restaurant for a taste of amazing Southern cuisine and personally I still reminisce on this meal to remember.

Food: A large group of us went for dinner and agreed that all the dishes were delicious! We ordered salads, pasta dishes, seafood dishes, and drinks. Service: Friendly, prompt, and quick considering we had a group of 14 people. Ambience: Cozy, warm, inviting space. Would come back!

We luckily stumbled into Common early enough to get a table as they were booked on a Monday night (always a good sign). Extensive food and drink options are a little overwhelming at first but the wife settled on the Short Rib Hot Plate and I ordered the Short Rib Ravioli. As far as the ravoli goes, I was glad we also ordered their sourdough bread. The ravioli was great, but I had to sop up every last drop of the sauce. A great choice, but.... Damn! The Short Rib Hot Plate was just off the chart. I think I might have developed diabetes from the two bites my wife shared of the cornbread soaked in red wine jam and fried, but it was worth it. Drinks and service was great too! For win lovers, their wine list is extensive and solid.

This was a perfect first night out in Savannah. We were lucky to get a table as I would recommend a reservation. We started with the fried green tomatoes, my wife had the short rib ravioli and I had the pasta fattoria and a smoked old fashioned. Service was perfect, they paced the dinner well but didn't leave you waiting. Great atmosphere, drinks and food. I would highly recommend.

We're visiting from Florida, and on our second day in Savannah, we stumbled upon this hidden gem--and wow, what an incredible brunch experience! Erin, our server, was absolutely wonderful--attentive, friendly, and super helpful. The espresso martini? Hands down the BEST I've ever had! I had done a bit of research before our trip, and The Collins Quarter was recommended, but we decided to just explore and see what we'd find--and I'm so glad we did! This charming spot completely exceeded our expectations. We're in love and already planning to come back for dinner. Highly recommend!

We were visiting from out of town for my sister's birthday and had made a reservation ahead of time. Our server was really kind and helpful. She mentioned she was studying for her sommelier exam, so she was able to give us suggestions on wine and what to pair it with. The food was honestly way better than I expected. Portions were big, and we got there just in time to catch happy hour. They had $1 oysters during happy hour, which was such a good deal (we regret not having more). One of us ordered the chef's tasting menu; it was a six-course meal for $65, and totally worth it. Overall, it was a great experience!

Common is a must stop while in Savannah. We went for dinner and enjoyed it so much that we also came back for brunch a few days later. For dinner we enjoyed some raw oysters, a delicious short rib ravioli and a Savannah classic Shrimp and Grits. For brunch we had the steak and eggs and avocado toast. Service is friendly and informative. Make this a stop on your next trip.

Common Restaurant is a perfect place for brunch. The staff are very friendly and the service is top notch. Not to mention, the food was delicious. The restaurant opens at 10:00am, so that is when we made our reservation on Open Table. We were seated immediately at that time and our server, Justin, greeted us very soon after. Throughout our brunch, Justin was sure to keep our drinks full and the good vibes high. The menu has many options, from oysters to pulled pork to soup. Their wine list is very extensive and their cocktails seem to be a hit. We ordered the Common Brunch Bowl and their daily special of Shrimp and Grits. Both were full of flavor and absolutely delicious. I would recommend both dishes to anyone trying to decide what to order. For our drink, we revived chilled water as we were seated and ordered their Bottomless Mimosas. These are $12 with the purchase of an entrée. That is a deal that cannot be beat. You also receive a one to take with you when you leave, which was a nice surprise. If I lived in the area, Common Restaurant would be a spot I dine at often!

I visited Common Restaurant twice while in Savannah. Once during a food tour, where I had the Pork Belly Donut, and the second for the Brunch menu, where I had the Steak, Eggs & Grits, along with the Pickled Poutine Fries. Everything was quite tasty! Both times, service was excellent and the ambiance was just right. In all honesty, the reviews and love for this restaurant speaks for itself! Reservations book out immediately (we couldn't get in for dinner service) and people truly just don't want to leave when they are seated. The only reason that I'm giving the Common Restaurant 4 stars is because unfortunately, my Steak, Eggs & Grits came out cold, which was heartbreaking because I knew it would have tasted phenomenal warm. Though, still delicious. But either way, it was Valentine's Day weekend, so I know it must have been hectic. I look forward to returning because tasty food quality, too-notch service and good vibes speak for themselves!

I was in town for business and decided to try the Common. The restaurant is beautiful and has a great fancy yet cozy feel to it. I ordered the chef's tasting menu and loved it. The oysters were delicious and the shrimp on grits was some of the best I have had. The palate cleanser was lemon sorbet with a champagne float, which was delightful. The shrimp and grits were some of the best I have ever had. The shrimp was fresh and amazing while the cheesy grits was very flavorful. The hazelnut decadence dessert was rich and amazing. The service at the bar was amazing as I had several people looking out for me. I can see why this is one of the highest rated restaurants in Savannah!

Great spot for brunch! My husband and I came around 1p on a Sunday and grabbed 2 seats at the bar. They have a variety of dishes and bottomless mimosas! Portions are massive. We ordered the steak and Gouda bowl and the crab cake Benedict. The steak was more of a Salisbury steak. Dry in my opinion, but I loved the Gouda grits. The crab cake and biscuit was pretty good overall. Quick service and good for groups!

Ok...I'm going to say it. Best burger we've had ever...and we've eaten at top spots in Manhattan like 4 Charles and Minetta Tavern. The bun!!! The meat! All of it worked beautiful together. I want to note that we went for the brunch menu and chose to not have the egg or bacon on top. They have a lovely wine list and a great brunch special of bottomless mimosas. We were taken care of by Ashley who was extremely knowledgeable and attentive. We loved it so much, we went back for another burger the next day..... yea, I know. If it helps you not think we are pigs, we did sub a side Cesar in lieu of fries both times. We truly hope to come back and visit Savannah again because the area surrounding the restaurant is lovely and we certainly hope to be back for the dinner menu!

Hands down, the best martini of my life. Common Savannah set the bar with a Dirty Martini that's on another level. What makes it stand out? The house-infused Bloody Mary vodka that gives it a bold, savory edge and sets it apart from anything I've ever had before. Perfectly balanced

Amazing. We are here from New England and happened upon this restaurant which was full. We sat at the bar and Jason was amazing. My fiancé let him do what he wanted with the old fashioned and it was fantastic. His dinner recommendation of the Pasta Fattoria far exceeded expectations. Wonderful all around!

Went classic with the chicken and waffle. They offer breasts, but they ain't hardly dry. Juicy and crunchy. I alternated between mushroom gravy and syrup with each bite--both were delish. Two huge chicken breasts needed two waffles, not one. Super cute interior--upstairs and downstairs. Good customer service. Note: 20% gratuity is automatically included. Thankfully my server deserved it! Going back to try the dinner menu soon.

Oh my gosh, what do I say about Common except that it's amazing! We had the Bacon Old Fashioned, which was tasty, and unfortunately, this review is a little overdue, so I cannot remember what else we had but I do remember the experience being incredible. The food was amazing. Our waiter was wonderful and the food came quickly. I would definitely go back.

We went for happy hour. The oysters are $0.75 and are really good! Service was great! Wife got espresso martini and it was really good! Brisket sandwich was good and huge; easy to split if u want. Would definitely go back

Very nice establishment, ambiance, and staff. The food... delicious! The pre meal bread alone should get 5 stars it's so tasty. The burger was so good. Great bun, toppings, and texture. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because the wine service was particularly bad (which is fine if it's not such a big focus/so much emphasis is placed on the wines) + the pickled fries were extremely okay (and it's hard to make a fry to turn down)

Common was our plan B brunch choice, and although there were a couple misses, we enjoyed it overall! Server seemed like a newbie, but she delivered and got some assistance from her team. The biggest disappointment is that the mimosa is pre-mixed. It was mostly OJ. My friend had to send it back and get something else. Besides that, they offer some great brunch cocktails and coffee drinks. I liked the Mezcal Espresso Martini. For starters, we shared the Smoked Oyster Rockefeller and Loaded Grit Puppies. I didn't taste the pork belly, but liked the creamed collards in the oysters. My friends were fans of the cheesy grit puppies. I had to get the Crab Cake Benedict. The crab cake was excellent, but would have preferred my eggs poached rather than sunny side up. I added the mimosa poached shrimp for $9 and that was not worth the 4 pieces that didn't taste like anything. The hollandaise had beet in it, giving an interesting pink color. My friends ordered the Chicken & Waffle, Shrimp & Grits, Brunch Bowl, Hash Bowl and Steak, Eggs & Grits. Nothing light here! We indulged and this brunch kept us full until dinner. Our leftovers heated well the next day too! Don't forget to check in on Yelp for 10% off the bill!

Having visited Savannah a few times, we hadn't had the opportunity to dine at Common. Since we were in town for the annual St. Paddy's Festival, we stopped there on Broughton Street with the parade in full swing. We had a very satisfying brunch since that was what was on the menu. Combining southern charm with a sophisticated interior layout, Common delivers a bohemian ambiance perfect for a laissez-faire dining experience. Here, you can sit back, relax, and enjoy flavorsome drinks and rich, savory food. I enjoyed the Ordinary Bowl, a breakfast-like dish loaded with eggs, grits, cheese, and bacon that filled me up. The oysters, sourced from the James River in Virginia, were meaty and full of palatable flavors. For cocktails, I took my time on the sweet and spicy Illegal Chocolate cocktail that allowed me to contemplate existence while also serving as a substitute for dessert. Enjoying our meal surrounded by the historic but sophisticated character of the restaurant's interior design allowed for a pleasurable experience as dined on satiable culinary goodness while the parade continued on outside.

This was an excellent dinner experience. Our waitress was training another waiter, and both were kind and attentive. The menu had so many options that looked amazing to us, and the waitress helped us narrow down what to get. We split the Fried Brussels appetizer to start, and it was incredible. Whenever I see short rib on a menu, I usually have to order it, so I went with the Short Rib Ravioli, and it was extremely rich and filling (not always the case with ravioli). My husband enjoyed the Southern White Gumbo. If we were hungrier, we would have done the tasting menu, but we knew we wouldn't be able to finish it. I'd highly recommend this place! The decor of the restaurant was super funky - part modern, part retro, part who knows what. But somehow it worked. It was a really lovely experience.

I came in recently after a not so great first experience with the food, but I wanted to try it again. I had a reservation for 10 right when they opened up, they instantly sat us and from that point on our waitress handled things very well. She was very helpful when it came to deciding on food/drinks and even let us switch out a drink at the last minute. I will be back to try more items. Food 9/10 Drinks 10/10 Customer Service 10/10

Where do I begin? I'll start with the ambiance at The Common, it's absolutely amazing and of course the wonderful staff here enhanced the ambiance. Everyone that touched our table was in a splendid mood, kind, offering suggestions, we had a grand time while dining here yesterday. Bottomless mimosas were a hit at our table! Arin took great care of us during our visit, so much, I can't wait to return. The food! The food was everything delicious! Everyone in our party ordered something different from the menu, of course, we all raved about our food. I had the brisket club minus a couple things and it was wonderfully prepared. The brisket was smoky, juicy, and tender. Let's talk about those spectacular fries it was paired with, yes they were giving epicurean style salt and vinegar, yum! Good times were enjoyed!

We found this Resturant after a morning of wondering around the city. Friendly and fast service. We sat at the counter. Bartender kept the drinks filled. If you order a brunch entree you can do unlimited mimosas for $12; this is a deal. We ordered the brunch bowl; with pulled pork; cheesy grits; Gouda cheese , scrambled eggs; peppers, onions . Yum it was delicious; the pulled pork was tender and had very good flavor. Would I come back? Absolutely for sure.

Ambience Food Service Everything was excellent. The short ribs on cornbread was phenomenal. I had the creamed collards substituted for the broccoli but I wish I could've tried them with the short ribs and cornbread.

What a great way to finish our journey through Savannah than a stop at Common Restaurant. 11am Brunch on a Sunday. Superb food and Service. Well played.

We dined at Common while in town for my birthday. Beautiful spot with fabulous food! We enjoyed the Brussels sprouts, pork chop special served with sweet potato mash and roasted carrots and the pineapple situation which consisted of a juicy pineapple filled with delicious pineapple fried rice, Mahi Mahi filet with a side of yum yum sauce. They have a great bourbon list too. The manager, Michael was really sweet and charming. Our server, Tiffany was wonderful and we also enjoyed chatting with Chef David while he was shucking oysters. Overall, spectacular dining experience! We will definitely be back.

I loved common for dinner on my savannah trip. I got the mahi mahi (which I have never tried before) and absolutely LOVED it. It was served in a pineapple and had a teriyaki-like glaze. I don't love fried rice and the restaurant/chef accommodated me by replacing the rice with veggies in my pineapple bowl! My brother got the short rib plate and said it was good -- but the cornbread was overly sweet. We loved our appetizers -- brussels and house made sourdough. we both agreed these were the best apps we had all trip!

Went there with friends for Labor Day long weekend. Reservation recommended. The restaurant was completely full during dinner time. Our server was nice and considerate. She helped with drink selection and entree suggestions. However, since there were several big parties, the food came out slow. Crab + burrata with sourdough bread was the best this time. Great flavor. The pineapple was a bit Asian fusion.

Came here again and got the Salmon dish with a side of mushrooms. I believe I found a foodies delight. I finally found the best Salmon dish I have ever had in Savannah.
