My bf brought me here for dinner last night for a spontaneous date. Parking lot was basically full and you could see the place was basically full. We walked in and were greeted warmly by the sweet hostess and seated immediately. At this point I'm already impressed with the service, decor, and cleanliness.
Not even 30 seconds after taking our seat our waitress, which I failed to get her name, got our drink orders while we explored the menu. We decided on the loaded queso and salsa. And for the meal, I decided on The Cajun Grilled Chicken Sandwich and I chose the fries as my side and my bf chose The Hand-Breaded Chicken Strips w/ Cream Gravy and he got tator tots and fried okra as his sides.
After putting in our order we maybe waited 5 min and our appetizer came out. So the loaded queso was one of the best I've ever had (I mean I love queso, it's my go to) the salsa had a good flavor and not spicy, kinda wish it had been but I know not everyone is for it. Let's just say we demolished it!
Now for the main course, it came out about 15 min after our appetizer. It looked picture perfect (as you'll see in the photos I posted). Let me start off with the fries.. oh my goodness, CRISPY, CRUNCHY, HOT, just like I like it, my bf tried it and fell in love. The tator tots were also fire, not like any tator tot I've had. The friend okra was good, reminded me of the okra from Lubby's (which is good). Now for my sandwich, yum! The sear on the grilled chicken was to my liking and all the ingredients and sauces came together nicely, I would get it again without hesitation. My bf's chicken strips were breaded beautifully and tasted amazing, especially in the gravy.. there's a flavor in it would couldn't put our finger on but it made the gravy that much better. But all in all 5/5 on all the food we ordered.
If you catch yourself in this area definitely stop in, you will enjoy it! I will be back soon.
