"You might think an auto repair shop is a strange place to drink a cocktail, and you would be right, unless it’s Ernie’s at the 11th Street Station. The space was a long-running fuel stop until the ‘70s and was most recently transformed into a bar that is now a popular spot for locals who can remember the days when gas cost less than a dollar per gallon.  Even though Ernie’s hasn’t serviced a car for over 50 years, the history of this location is still there: draft beers are served from below the grill of a vintage Chevy Bel Air, and there’s plenty of service station memorabilia scattered throughout, like the old Conoco fuel truck sitting in the courtyard that doubles as a countertop. Ernie’s has indoor seating in the bar as well as a large outdoor area with food trucks, an impressive list of top-shelf spirits, and a nice variety of cocktails and mocktails. Really, the only thing they don’t offer at this old service station is a full tank of gas. " - kristin smith

Had such a blast at 11th Street Station in Durango! We stopped by for some cappuccinos and dessert, and both were spot on, the coffee was rich and the dessert was just the right kind of indulgent. The vibe there is unbeatable, with all the food trucks buzzing around and that cool, old school decor that gives it so much character. It felt like the perfect hangout spot. We’re already excited to come back and dive into the food truck scene for a full meal next time!

Google
First time here and we stopped hoping the Stanley Cup Finals were on at the bar. The bartender Brooke was very accommodating and changed the channel… the drinks were amazing and she recommended a snack at one of the food trucks… we had the pork belly slider and the burger slider modified to our liking with caramelized onion and sauce on the side… OMG.. they were amazing… we will definitely be back! Brooke never stops… she is a hard worker, a great employee, and makes great drinks! Cheers!

Google
Fun place to grab dinner and drinks. The variety of food trucks makes it easy for everyone to get something they like. They don’t skimp on the alcohol and my margarita was strong. Got great service from Shawn!

Google
I could RAVE about this place. Super cute eatery with a selection of food trucks, indoor/outdoor/bar/ fun seating around the whole place. Kid & dog friendly! Prefect for date night, groups, quick bites, Any thing really 😅 The food trucks did NOT disappoint on food!! Taqueria La Costa had delicious Birria tacos (btr than the ones in downtown restaurants) Café Amor had amazing coffee ( for my non drinkers ) & Ernies Bar had a full bar for me ;) The Box had THE BEST big crispy chicken wings I have ever had!! Honestly can't wait to go back & try more!

Google
Giving this place 2 stars because we really enjoyed the beer we had here, but the food was extremely sub par. We were really excited to try this place because it is similar to a place we have back home and locals recommended it on Reddit, but really disappointed that we wasted our money here. The wings we got from The Box were still frozen on the inside and the Mexican bowl we ordered from Avalanche Bowl Co was also totally cold. Unfortunately, we weren’t told when we were seated around 8:30 that all of their trucks close between 8-9 PM, so by the time we got our food and sat down to eat, we couldn’t send it back to be heated up. Also, the family that came in 15 minutes after us were also not warned about them closing up shop and ended up having to leave to go eat at another restaurant to feed their kids. All sorts of not cool. Would not recommend this place unless you’re just coming for drinks. Atmosphere was otherwise good and the specialty cocktail menu looked great.

This is a fun place to stop in for lunch in Durango. My brother and I decided to meet up on a Saturday and most of the family joined us! The variety of food trucks are fairly set. From what I understand. Yesterday I tried the sliders truck and enjoyed their pork belly slider with a side of fries and the jicama apple slaw. My wife tried out the chicken strips truck for their chicken sandwich so I got to try a little bit of that too! 🙂 My dad had the crab cake slider and loved it. It was steady for a Saturday but not so crowded. We couldn't find a table for six people. The food was well done. Service was friendly. There was a small bit of trouble with my wife's order but I think that was because things got a bit busy after we got there. The view from the back deck is outstanding!

Google
Incredibly underwhelming... Many of the food stands were closed well before their posted hours, down to just one restroom for a "broken lock." We ended up having to use another establishments bathrooms because this place seats so many people, but nobody couldn't run down to the Ace hardware a block away to fix a simple lock. I've witnessed places fix issues for a bathroom within minutes that were not lock related. There are better places nearby!

Google
We didn’t have time to eat there at this time, but I’ve been there many times in the past and it is so fun, what a great concept. I WOULD RECOMMEND

Yelp
Great food truck park, coffee, drinks, smoothies, pizza, bowls. Lots of seating areas and clean restrooms. I had the Island BBQ bowl from Avalanche bowl company and it was excellent, large, flavorful and kept me going for a while.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places to eat in Durango, CO and I go often, since most of my family lives there. I love that we can all go, (sometimes that's 15 of us), at a moments notice, find something yummy to eat and a table big enough to sit together - lots of tables inside and out, (heat lamps when cold) as well as some comfy couches. 11th Street Station is in the heart of downtown Durango. It's a service station themed food truck hub, (seven in all), encircling Ernie's bar. It has a fun industrial vibe complete with oil cans, hub caps and bay doors. 11th Street Station has some history to it - it was once a gas station in the 1920s, then tire shop, then back to a gas station, owned by Ernie Schaaf for 48 years. Over the years the property changed hands many times, it was once a bank, a window shop and even a church! The food choices are plentiful, even the pickiest eater will find something! Some of the options are pizza, paninis, sliders, food bowls, fried chicken, soup, salad and cocktails. On this particular evening the three of us all ordered from the Backcountry Gourmet Food Truck. My husband had BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger Sliders, as always this is freshly made with grass fed beef and is really delicious. I had the Filet Mignon Sliders. These filets were perfectly cooked, with blue cheese crumbles, spinach, garlic aioli and caramelized onions. The Zucchini Sliders included panco-crusted fried zucchini, arugula, apple-jicama coleslaw, tomato and chipotle ranch. These sliders taste like you are at a fine dining restaurant. Even though the portion size is good I'd recommend ordering two, especially for dinner. The fries come in a large bowl, we shared an order of Truffle Fries and had a couple orders of regular fries too. If you like truffle oil you will absolutely love these fries. Do check this place out, you won't be disappointed, they even have "Durango's Largest Dog Patio".

Yelp
While visiting friends in Durango we stopped at 11th Street Station and had a blast. Live music and great food made for a great night. Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Just walking around downtown Durango & drifted into this lovely outdoor dining/sipping experience Full service bar with a great selection of craft cocktails, perfectly executed. Several food trucks onsite so even "That friend" in your party who never wants what everybody else wants....yup, they will be happy too Today the Truck menus Included Pizza, sliders, chicken, potatos, salads and bowls. I'm sure I missed some. Fun. Family Friendly. Adult Friendly.

Sophie S.

Yelp
Great for any kind of day with plenty of seating and food truck options. Bar was lovely and I appreciated getting to sample drinks. I cranked out some work but this would also be a perfect place for taking family or visiting town!

Stephen K.

Yelp
Great concept for a variety of foods. The food trucks are a bit pricey but the quality was decent. Good atmosphere and setting. It great for covered outdoor dining

Jake N.

Yelp
11th Street Station is an easy recommendation just based solely on variety of options where you will be able to find something good for your party. From Uncle Fixins we got the Adovada baked potato which has red pork chili and an egg and was an absolute highlight, one of the best baked potatoes I've ever had. The red pork was spicy but not too overpowering to make spice the only factor of the meal. From Avalanche Bowl Co we got the Ahi Poke Bowl. The bowl was pretty standard for poke bowls with a large amount of vegetables and a descent portion of ahi tuna. Would love to come back as the atmosphere is great and love to try tons of more food.

Cameron C.

Yelp
Brought our dog for lunch as we were finishing our trip through Colorado. It's an open area with plenty of tables surrounded by a handful of food trucks. The chicken strips were good, but the Mac and cheese was too mushy. The star was the ahi poke bowl. So many great flavors for $14! My wife still talks about that poke bowl! (Do not try the one at Lola's, such a disappointment).

robin b.

Yelp
Great place to go for food and drinks but the bonus is we can take our dogs! We go in the afternoon so can't comment on nights.

Shelley H.

Yelp
Amazing, this place made me want to give other food trucks a chance. The atmosphere was awesome. My only complaint was we were sat in the back when there were plenty of spots in the front.

Mary Z.

Yelp
I had lunch here on a whim today. It looked cool, so I decided to do it! It's an old filing station that's been converted into a space for several food trucks. At the front, the hostess explains how it works and has much-appreciated glasses of ice water ready for thirsty diners. I carried mine with me as I walked around. Choose your truck, order your meal, and have a seat outside or in the station, where it's much cooler. There's a full bar inside the station, and servers come around to take your drink order. You can refill your water there, too. When you're finished, leave your dishes on the table, and someone will clear them for you. It's a great place to people watch, and everyone in your party can choose something different.

Kristin H.

Yelp
Fun space with Ernies full bar, food trucks, live music and a great open outside space to enjoy it all. Our group of 6 had food from 4 different food trucks and enjoyed them all. From lemonade and grilled cheese, poke bowls, burgers and hand cut fries, and barbecue. Highly recommend for a unique experience.

Angel S.

Yelp
The husband and I visited while we were in Colorado nice vibe clean amazing country live music

Emily H.

Yelp
Fun spot in downtown Durango--definitely worth a visit. We went twice, once for drinks and once for dinner and both times were a hit! The food and drinks are very reasonably priced and we enjoyed the experience. All outdoor seating and quick service. They also had live music both times we visited and we really enjoyed the atmosphere!

V C.

Yelp
Asked the Avalanche Bowl food truck chef what I should order, the Island Bowl or the Green Curry, and she said the Island Bowl. So I said hold the jalepeno. That would indicate I didn't want anything spicy right? So I'm served the Green Curry Bowl and it's a 4 out of 5 on the hotness scale. I was so hungry I just ate what I could and went back so that she's know I got the wrong dish and that they should advise other customers about the level of heat. She said that I did order the Green Curry, and it wasn't spicy when she made it on Sunday. It was 2 days later, Tuesday, when I ordered it! She definitely put something spicy in it, as confirmed by my husband. She asked if I wanted my money back but by that point I didn't trust her, so I said no and left. Be forewarned.. if you are sensitive to spicy food, DON'T EAT HERE!

Chris O.

Yelp
They have a wide assortment of foods from sliders to pizza to açaí. They have a coffee bar and a bar bar. We have enjoyed the pizza, the coffee bar and the bar bar. With no complaints. All the places we tried had great service and the food was great. All seating is outside albeit some with shade and some without. Dogs were welcome so we had a great time.

Melissa P.

Yelp
Happened across this place when we got to town and we had to come back a second time. The first time I had Uncle Fixins. It was a cold, rainy day and OMG did it hit the spot for comfort food. I originally wanted the tortilla soup, but because I have several food allergies (wheat, dairy, corn), so they worked with me in building my own potato. I was a little hesitant but oh man, it was AMAZING. I topped the perfectly cooked, tender baked potato with their delicious pork green chili, lettuce, tomato, microgreens, avocado, and cilantro. It was so big and filling I ate it for 2 meals! Which i was happy about because the food prices are a little steep in here. Soo good, a must try! Oh and the blueberry lime agua fresca was so delicious too. The second time I had the BBQ chicken bowl at Avalanche Bowl Co. It sounded amazing in theory, but it was just ok. The flavors were just off to me. I thought pulled BBQ chicken flavor was too overpowering. It was pricey and I couldn't eat it all. I think i would prefer light spice on the chicken and drizzle of BBQ sauce next time. All-in-all love the food trucks and eclectic, open air ambiance here and will definitely be back!

Dillar S.

Yelp
Awesome vibe - lots of options. A little expensive but great place overall. Dogs welcome!

Hudson H.

Yelp
Tried the loaded potato place; the elote was outstanding. Food was served very quickly and all staff was very friendly. The overall feel of the place was super relaxed and the live music was the cherry on top. Would definitely recommend.

Hope K.

Yelp
A nice selection of food trucks and an area for beer, wine and cocktails. It's a little confusing when you first walk up since there is a host station, but I'm assuming that is for the bar area. No one was there and I wasn't getting a drink so I found a chicken shawarma wrap and drink to eat. It was large, tasty and I sat at a shaded table outside.

Daniel W.

Yelp
Charming open air drinking and dining destination. Former gas station, now home to gourmet food trucks, a full bar and live music. Pizza, slides, paninis, lobster and crab rolls, rolled ice cream, something for everybody.

Lindsey Q.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I were passing through Durango for the weekend and heard good things about 11th Street Station, so we decided to stop in for an early dinner and drinks. We were initially sat at a table in the dark bar area, but when we saw there were plenty of tables open out on the patio asked if we could move there. There was a QR code on the table that led you to the menu and prompted you to order directly online. We did so and then were a little confused a minute later when a server came over to take our order. We let her know that we'd already placed it and she came back with the drinks a couple minutes later. Shortly after that, another server came over with a second round of the same drinks. Seems like there's a little miscommunication between the online and in-person ordering, but we got a free round of drinks out of it so no complaints on that! Although I will say, my mezcal cocktail was a little subpar, so I'd likely stick to beer next time. There were a handful of food trucks to choose from for food, but we ultimately settled on the Avalanche Bowl Company. A decision we were both very happy with. We had the Mexican & Greek bowls and enjoyed them both very much. If we'd been town another day, we definitely would have stopped in for round 2!

Vanessa B.

Yelp
Went to Devera for an early dinner and was wonderfully surprised by their service and food! Had the Sirloin, Katsu Sando, and the Pork belly. The pork belly was perfect!!! The flavor profile in each dish definitely made us Asian/Pacific Islanders as happy as can be. Their cucumber salad reminded me of the a sunomono salad mixed with a Chamorro cucumber salad. Quite refreshing on a hot day.

Ashley H.

Yelp
Seriously the best food and drinks! Such a cool concept. The best wedge salad I've had. Can't wait to come back! Staff/service were super friendly.

Yera S.

Yelp
Vibe vibe vibe. Good food options for all ages / stages of life. Great place while you are in Durango.

Andrea W.

Yelp
Gluten free and dairy light eater. Today I did not stray from cheese. I love the atmosphere here. It's pretty low key. You have to be seated and you can buy from any food truck and get a zapper. Drinks are good. I ordered a bacon bbq burger with no bun and a side of fries. Goodness the fries were huge. I could have shared this. My friend got the truffle fries. They were pretty good. Overall my burger was pretty good. Nothing to scream off the roof about but was solid. My friend got the zucchini sliders and she liked the flavor. Those were not gluten free. They are battered and fried. Overall I'd come back.

Jason M.

Yelp
I definitely would recommend this place if ur at 11th, I tried their island BBQ bowl, I hav not tried anything else on the menu but if this bowl is any indication of the others then you are in for a good eat

Contessa H.

Yelp
We stopped by in the morning for some breakfast and coffee. Coffee is great. Breakfast burritos are amazing! We got the spinach and the pork belly. The hash browns inside are crispy, the egg is fluffy and lovely, the sauces are fantastic, and they press it at the end so the tortilla ends up crispy and heavenly. Also they are the size of a forearm. Highly recommend for breakfast!

Jennifer O.

Yelp
11th st station is a super cute space that's filled with a variety of food concepts. That's always nice because people who want different items can all get what they want and be happy. We tried a couple of the concepts and they were all good. I had a coffee and it was tasty. If you and your friends can't decide what you want to eat, this place can help.

Jessica J.

Yelp
I am HERE for this concept! Especially given the current pandemic circumstances. It appears that this place was originally a service station of some kind, but it's been renovated into a unique spot. 11th Street Station is basically a hub of food trucks where you can find lots of diverse food options. All of the trucks and stations are situated in an industrial-chic setup that is almost entirely open-aired. Lots and lots of seating options available (and spread out). Located on Main Street Durango, it's at the center of the adorable down and sits beside the train track - fun for visitors like us to watch the "Polar Express" roll by. With much of CO being closed at this time, 11th Street Station was one of the only options for dining. We wondered over from our hotel, not knowing what was around, and were pleasantly surprised! We were seated at table W5 and informed that when we go up to order from a truck, to let them know our number and the food would be delivered when ready. A wonderfully easy concept. There are servers sporadically around for if/when you'd like to order drinks. Service was really quite slow on that part, but hey the cocktails were delicious. The four of us split a few dishes. Fried brussel sprouts were an absolute win - very flavor packed. Can't go wrong with classic chips and guac. Manny's Fresh Co poke bowl was also five-stars. Wasabi, mango, cilantro, tuna... the deliciousness goes on. Last was pizza from The Box, which was A-ok. I'd look forward to coming back here in the warmer seasons and enjoying other parts of the patios, live music, and more of the locally owned food truck kitchens!

Sus L.

Yelp
My friend and I stopped here for a quick lunch and both ordered from the Avalanche Bowl Co food truck. It was sooo good! Such a nice space with indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of food options, as well as a bar inside. My friend got the Greek bowl (top) and I had the Mexican Bowl (bottom). There's something here for everyone and service was pretty quick! Highly recommend :)

kate y.

Yelp
Do not eat here!!! Came to Durango for the 4th and ended up getting the most severe case of food poisoning I've ever had. Ended up having to go to the hospital due to the chicken tender food truck!!!! Do not eat here if you want to end up throwing up for 35+ hours straight and can't eat anything for over 4 days!!!!! 0/10

Jasmine S.

Yelp
Super lively area but could be too hot for summer (especially for tables without umbrellas). I ordered a medium Tropical Sunshine smoothie bowl with mango, strawberry, and coconut toppings from Sunshine Smoothies. The smoothie bowl was a little liquid-y but was decent for the price & size.

Melissa C.

Yelp
My partner and I were in Durango on vacation and stumbled on this place as we walked down Main. We started out at Ernie's Bar, which was packed on a Saturday afternoon. The one bartender was busting it trying to serve everyone, but I still wonder if I would have been noticed at all if I didn't have my 6'4" buddy along! They offered a nice selection, and we ended up with some flavorful beers that went well with our food choice. We really liked having different options for our meal, and all of the vendors had options that sounded good. We went with Cuevas Tacos and got a giant plate of nachos that they kindly made half veggie & half chicken. The food was flavorful, filling, and inexpensive. In fact, this probably was the least expensive stop on our whole trip. This also is a great place to people watch if the weather is nice. I expect the limited indoor seating becomes a challenge in the winter.

Kathy E.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere, music, food & drinks. Wait staff is friendly. Lots of options to choose from. Mesa Verde Pizza, gyro and Aper Spritz.

Margaret S.

Yelp
A great casual meeting place especially for large groups. Wide variety of drinks and food with a few food trucks out front.

James J.

Yelp
So many styles of food choices, it was the perfect place for our large group to meet up. Getting a drink was a little trickier, with a small serving bar and the waitstaff was trying to keep up with the large footprint of scattered tables. I ended up getting the Katsu Style Chicken Sandwich. Cooked perfectly, a huge serving, and a great value.

Miriam M.

Yelp
I was so happy too check this place out. I ordered the island bowl. It was huge. Lots of pulled chicken, pineapple, red cabbage, black coconut rice, green onions topped with crispy lotus slices. The flavors went well together, crunchy, sweet, a little heat.... Saw the pizzas. Looked quite good and the sliders. The decor is so cool!

Byron C.

Yelp
Great spot for a variety of food options. Full bar, raised patio/balcony, music. Hard to beat.

Emily M.

Yelp
Stopped here for drinks with some friends. We arrived at 7:30 on a Friday night and it was quite busy! The service is rough here. The servers who were supposed to be serving drinks were having a hard time. The food trucks were also out of food pizza and some burgers. I thought that was too early for a Friday night. The wait for the food that was available was 30mins. This place seems like it could be fun if there was more organization. I'd give it another try but there are other places around to try. (friends of ours decided to go across the street to get thai food because it was faster)

Kelley M.

Yelp
Wow we are coming back tomorrow because there are so many choices. The food we had tonight was so flavorful. Service was great. We plan on returning tomorrow to try more foods from each truck!!! What a cool place

Naia H.

Yelp
This place is amazing and there's so much good food with a great variety. The place is also so cool and I could sit there for hrs. Pls go you wont be disappointed

Yelena J.

Yelp
Very cute place to hang out. There was a live band and it's right in downtown on Main Street. It's a nice way to try food from lots is restaurants food trucks from the downtown area.

Ks G.

Yelp
Such a happy place! Got the Greek bowl (delicious!) and the Elise cocktail (perfection!). Lovely atmosphere, good service, and delicious food. OH! And pup friendly for the win!

Anne-Marie S.

Yelp
We didn't eat here but food trucks looked amazing. And the website doesn't do it justice. Cool scene, food trucks, cocktails and beer, live music... very unique!

Liz B.

Yelp
Ok so I wanted to write 2 seperate reviews for each of my favorite food trucks located here at 11th Street Station but Yelp can't find just the trucks. Instead I'm going to give you one giant review. LoL 11th Street Station is one of my favorite lunch time SUMMER locations. I love this place, it is quirky, industrial, modern, with fun live music events, 5 different food trucks, a coffee bar, a regular bar, and many cool places to sit and have a nice time in the sun. I eat here 2-3 times a week when the weather is warm. I avoid 11th street station when it is winter for 3 specific reasons. 1) It's too cold to be out side eating on a patio. (They do use out door heaters, dress warm though) 2) The inside limited seating is all tall chairs. (Feet dangling, need a step stool just to sit down, chairs ) 3) I hate being too cold when trying to enjoy a meal and I hate sitting with my feet Not firmly on the ground. Short people problem. Ok on with the food review. The Box, a red truck in the back that makes an outstanding pizza, and caesar salad. If you like brick oven style, small, artesian, made to order, pizzas this is totally your place!! And it won't break the bank like a pizza from Fired Up will. I personally enjoy thier Hogsback pizza. It has all the toppings I enjoy and comes crispy and delicious. They have thier own brick oven back there next to the truck, that they burn wood in, to bake each pie, such good pizza. Thier salad is awesome too. They make thier own caesar dressing and grade fresh parmesan all over the top. Such a good salad, and you know it's good, because my Boyfriend will eat it and enjoy it! (and he never eats anything green) I am super picky about the quality of my lettuce and if one leaf is wilted, slimy, or wierd in any way I will reject the entire plate, and believe me I am looking at Every bite. Cheers to The Box!! They never have served me one unusual leaf. Only crunchy fresh lettuce and ingredients here. Mannys Fresh CO, is the other truck I adore. Find it on the side of the bar hiding in plain sight. A Modern Asian fair that serves some of the lightest crispy tempura in town. I told them thier tempura put East by Southwest to greasy shame. But the thing I order the most here is the Poke Bowl. A wonderful mix of fresh raw fish, vegetables, crab salad, and other yummy bits, delicately displayed on top of perfect rice. The sauce on it is just SO good, but don't ask me what all it contains, I have no idea. The poke bowl also comes with a cup of miso soup, which is not just the watery bland version I've mostly had. Instead it is savory, warm and brothy. Warms you from the inside out. The sushi here is really good too, and what you will probably like even more then thier sushi is the price!! Good food for a good value. Finally real sushi everyone can afford in Durango.

Heath W.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and service. Took our kids and they loved it. Will definitely come back when we are in town.

Ilyssa R.

Yelp
Cool atmosphere and good food. I waited 39 min before I had to ask for a server to order drinks. Waited in line to use the restroom but when the person exited I discovered the bathroom was not usable. I promptly told the nearest server that it was out of order and recommended hanging a sign. The server said "we're working on it". The person who exited the bathroom was an employee. If they were aware the bathroom was out of order they should put a sign on the door so customers don't walk in there. I was redirected to the restroom in the rear of the restaurant. Only to find out there was no running water through the sink. Unable to wash my hands with no hand sanitizer available. During a pandemic. I'm aware that COVID has changed the way businesses are run but no running water in the bathroom is unacceptable in my book.

Yelp
Where do I begin?! This place was perfect for my family of three who couldn't decide on the type of food they wanted. Everyone wins here!! There was sliders, sandwiches, salads, pizza, tacos, sushi, beer and more!! Plenty of seating, umbrellas to avoid some of the heat, street parking was free after 6pm. I had the Elise cocktail, was a little tart for me but tasty in general. Decent beer selection and friendly bartenders. I ate the chicken and pulled pork tacos with a side of mac n cheese and pinto beans. Chicken taco was my favorite for sure! The Mac was kinda bland and cold sadly, but spicy pintos were a little better. Overall great place that we all enjoyed!!
