This is a very unique place, located in a farm like silo with multiple other businesses. The beer was good and the staff was friendly. I like that on the same venue there is a pizza restaurant, ice cream shop, wine bar, and several other businesses. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and it is kid/pet friendly

Great craft beer, fresh and delicious! Nice patio and food is available from the shared businesses. It's a special treat on Sundays at 2PM when Vaco Taco is there, the owners are very dedicated to making quality food, it is so consistent and delicious! 12 West keeps it simple, with a counter order, you get to select from a good selection of hand crafted brews, and enjoy. You can order food from the various restaurants that are on the same lot or a short walk away. The patio is really nice and dog friendly. We have been coming here since they opened, and we enjoy their variety and personality!

Not a huge area but plenty of seating and you can sit outside when the weather is nice. The have a great selection of draft and canned beers, all of which are their own brews. Each one has a great description of the flavor as well. You can get some samples, too! The bartenders are great and super helpful so don't worry if you have questions. My favorite beer here is the Blap Blap! It's so good, fruity, and a easy drink. They have something for everyone type of beer drinker here and you get to support local business. Win, win! Definitely give 12 West a try soon!

UPDATE: Jan 2025. STILL a great experience. Today the outdoor space is packed with a cycling group. Loud and fun. Our beers are great in the winter Arizona sun. I’m having my go-to Arizona pils and my wife is enjoying a delightful, refreshing citrus brew. Pics attached. UPDATE MARCH 2024. They've enlarged the space in the year since we've been here. Serving great brews including several crisp and satisfying citrus based craft beers. More pics attached. UPDATE FEB 2023. STILL a great brew in a great location with friendly staff and reasonable prices. Today our group had the stand-by Arizona Pilsner, the Blood Orange and a Coffee Stout. Perfectly cold, fresh and refreshing. UPDATE FEB 9. Still brewing some really great pours. Our group of four snapped up some ice cold brews to go with our wood-fired oven pizzas from Fire and Brimstone next door. They still have a reciprocal agreement where you order your food then slip over to 12 West, take a seat outside in the warm sun on the 12 West covered patio while you sip your brews and chow down on some pizza. Outstanding selection of great cold brews. Good prices. Pet friendly. Great staff.

Fantastic selection of craft beers. I am a big fan of the Frontside and the Super Beaker! Friendly service and a cozy atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating. There is also an amazing pizza place nextdoor, so you can enjoy great food and great beer in the same place!

12 West is one of my absolute favorite breweries. Period. I have been to the most amazing breweries across the US, and can say unequivocally that 12 West has one of the most solid grasps on crafting beer of anywhere I've been. All reputable breweries can rock the flagship that landed them on the map... But very few can create beers across all genres that could rival the flagship of any outfit out there. I can think of only five. And 12 West sits squarely in the top of the echelon.

Great place! Customer service was outstanding, the bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable. They have several options of beer to accommodate your taste buds. A great place to relax and enjoy with friends.

We love the outdoor patio and chill environment at 12 West. They have an excellent selection of beer - notably the sours, Japanese style beer, and pilsners are fantastic! You can also order a pizza at Fire & Brimstone and have it brought to the 12 West indoor or outdoor patio space making it the perfect beer and pizza experience!

This place looks and feels like Joanna Gaines barfed all over. It's nothing but contrived modern farmhouse decor. You'd also expect a tap room like this to have a good selection but it's really just a bunch of the same IPAs. They make up for it with high prices though.

We sat here while waiting for our pizza from Fire and Brimstone. I don't love beer but I got a hard kombucha from the fridge and it was delicious! They even poured it in a glass for me. Of course it a brewery so they're mostly going to have beer but all they had was beer, a couple kombuchas and a couple hard seltzers. Maybe some more options from local places like maybe some cider from cidercorp or mead from Superstition Meadery etc. would really put this place over the top.

Our neighborhood hang-good beers , good vibes! Lots to do under the same roof, pizza dessert and a little shopping!

Have not stopped here in many years and stopped in last night and glad we did! Easy parking and friendly staff with crisp COLD beer and amazing AC on a HOT summer Arizona night. They even had some good deals on the t-shirts

Found this on accident after seeing a community FB post about pickle pizza and thinking, "Man!! I need to try that!", reading through the comments, finding an adjacent pizza place, and then realizing the pizza place is in the brewery. Yay! Pizza AND beer! There is also ice cream and shopping all in one location. Can't beat that! The interior is a cool, chill atmosphere. There's patio seating for those days when it's not a million degrees outside. You can take the food you buy into the brewery area (in fact they'll just bring it out to you!) Lots of craft beers on tap + featured beers in cans from other breweries. All can be purchased and taken home. My partner and I each got a flight of 4 beers. They were nice sized pours! I liked the flavor of almost all the beers. My only complaint is that they all seemed a little flat. I don't know if that was typical, or if something was going on with their system, but they just didn't have the bubblyness I want in a beer. Still an enjoyable experience!

Great little bar where you can get a nice draft, order some pizza, and play a classic board game! My husband and I love to come here and play Connect 4.

We went late in the evening. Not a lot of beers on tap. Solid offerings and good service. It is worth a try if you like quiet and solid.

Inside a neat building with other fun independent shops and restaurants. They have a good solid variety of beer (try out Baku! It's a Japanese style lager) and there's trivia at this 12 West location on Tuesdays! Their trivia host Rachel is super funny and fun, I'd check it out if you can! And get there a bit early, because there's not a ton of seating! (Really my only complaint) They do not serve food, but you can pizza just a step away from Fire & Brimstone and they'll bring it over to you if you're sitting at 12 West. Their pizza is good too, but this is a 12 West Review! If you want to support local and want some good beer or trivia, I'd definitely check this place out!

I did not know the Barnone concept existed or that it was so close to my place! It's nice to see local business collaboration like this in Gilbert compared to the strip malls and chains in the suburbs. I've been to the main 12 West location in Mesa and I was a fan of the space and the beers. The one at Barnone is smaller but they have the same selection of good beers, my favorite being the Midnight Run and Blap Blap. I didn't get any food at this location because the Fire and Brimstone across the way looked and was delicious. We came in on a Monday night and unknowingly stumbled into a Geeks Who Drink trivia night, which was fun!

We visit here often and have never had a bad experience. The location sits within Barn One and parking can be an opportunity on nights and weekends due to the popularity of the business in the area. 12 West only sells beer and cider but come for dinner and grab some great food from the pizza shop next door. Just let them know you are sitting on the 12 West side. The bartenders are always friendy and will give tastes and suggestions when you are looking for it. There is a small seating area inside and a nice size patio outside. Always a great time!

Have been here twice and I like the space (sat both outside and inside). I find the beers are ok and nothing outstanding of the 8 I tried except for the 12 karat is excellent. Others (all IPAs and a pale ale) seemed kind of monotone with nothing very special. The Digital Sea was decent. I wish they had some info online or at the bar to tell you more about each beer. Bartenders have seemed too busy both times to tell you about anything.

12 West is nice little Taproom in Barnone. They offer a nice selection of beers on tap, cans available to go and games to play while having a drink. There is a variety of little restaurants inside Barnone to grab a bite to eat while having your beer. I had the West Coast IPA and it did not disappoint! Looking forward to my next visit.

Just the beer side of this joint. New place for us. It's right next to Fire and Brimstone pizza place. Clean and different. Worth a try if you are in the mood for a little change.

Nice place to grab a drink, especially after dinner in Agritopia. Beer selections are on the wall above the bar, as well as QR cards that are floating around. When we went (July 2022), there were a lot of IPAs and sours available. Beertenders are super friendly, very attentive, and consistently clearing down tables, making those empty glasses disappear. There are some limiting factors that can't really be changed (amount of seating, closes @ 11pm on Fri/Sat), but I will say the smaller seating area likely correlates with attentive waitstaff. However, if they opened later on the weekends, I would definitely be there. Regardless, catch me there.

Great beer and nice people! I really enjoyed the kettle sour and I tried their terpene infused experimental beer. Love when a brewery gets creative!! The ambience outside was lacking a bit compared to the wine bar next door- we wished we had some music and nice lighting! But overall a great experience. Would return!

Great beer, I had "I'm just beer so I don't get fined". Pizza place right across the way is good as well you can order there and then sit up at the bar, eat your pizza and drink and beer totally recommended.

Happy Hour is where it is at for 12 West Brewing! It's a small, quaint place in Barnone...perfect place to meet friends after work for a quick drink. There's pizza in the same area, didn't try it this time but it was very tempting looking at everyone's delicious pies coming by.

Awesome service and great beer. I love their Josephine sour. The pina paleta ipa is also pretty tasty. I like this location a lot more because it's more personable and the bartender working the other night really pays attention to Everyone which you don't find every day. Can't wait for them to release more sours or ciders perhaps those are my absolute favorites. I mean i know not everyone enjoys that kind of thing but I just always hope these East valley breweries start giving me more options since Phoenix/Mesa and Tempe always sell out of their limited cans within minutes of their sours/ciders.My husband usually tends to go with the hazy klax ipa or the zona Pilsner and he enjoys them. The inside seating is a little cramped just with all the social distancing it's hard to keep 6 feet away from people inside. So you don't really have much options but to try and go outside if there is space. All in all this is a wonderful place to check out for some beer and pizza across the room.

12 West Brewing have a great selection of beer which I appreciated. I love IPAs so that was one I tried the Paletero (hazy IPA with tangerine and vanilla). It was delicious! It didn't even taste like an IPA. 10 out of 10, I would highly recommend it if you like IPAs. Located in Barnone, it's basically everything you want...all rolled into one. There's a wine place next door and a pizza place across the hall. You can order your pizza, buy your beer or wine, and sit anywhere in Barnone. I love the open concept so it's definitely a great place to meet up with friends if you're out in Gilbert area.

Overall this was a good Brewery. I tried all 10 beers in a couple of flights. The lighter beers very earthy grainy and dry at all had the same flavour profile. I was happier what I went into the IPA's and even their German cake beer. Those had better flavour and seemed more focused on balance and overall mouthfeel.

Came here for some beer and was Not disappointed. My favorite of the day was the smooth transitions. Excellent flavor while still being so crisp. Also the super beaker a close second for me. Give it a try.

Amazing Fire & Brimstone pizza with our favorite beer from 12 West Brewery (and the coolest bartenders ever to boot) is a perfect recipe for Date Night. Seriously... we do this pretty much every week!

Support your favorite breweries during this crazy time. Here's one of mine! Grabbed a couple new one's and an old favorite to quarantine with. Super Beaker is soooo tasty! English Summer Ale is very good! Clean and flavorful. Frontside, well, you know frontside is always great.

Amazing experience! I have been a few times, but I just moved closer to the area so I want to become a regular of this place. I came 06/06 at around 3 pm and the gentlemen was so so helpful and great energy. You don't get that much these days so he is so appreciated! I got the hazed cat lady IPA which was amazing. So approachable and great. Can't wait to bring my husband to try it, he will love it. We are from the PMW and our standards are pretty high with draft brews. We haven't really found many great ones out and about but now that's changed :) thanks 12 brewing and see ya again soon Also the pizza next door was the best pizza I've ever had. Best ranch as well to dip my pizza in. Just an all around good experience after I had a long day

This is a trendy new brewery with descent beer and great customer service. It's located in Barnone in Agritopia, next to Joes Farm Grill. Nice place for a first date or to take out of town guests. It is one of 10 business is located in a new barn. They don't serve food but one of the businesses is a pizza restaurant. Kind of pricey.

It's a nice day in AZ and you're looking for somewhere to grab lunch with your whole extended family. Since there's 4 kids, a few old people, and your in-law that's never happy you need somewhere accommodating. You decide on Joe's. Everyone loves Joe's. Your food is good but by the end of the meal you want to bury all of these people in Joe's farm under the kale. That's when you see it. About 200 yards west of where the kids are screaming and running around there's Barnone. You tell everyone you're going for a walk and discover XII West in this very cool structure. Along with woodworkers, machinists, a wine bar, and a pizza place sits the brewery. The space isn't big but there's plenty of room to spread out either indoors or out. You get a flight and try 6 5-oz pours including the excellent K-Lax IPA. You look at your phone and see 2 missed calls from your spouse while the bartender asks if you'd like a pint. Tranquility is on draft and chaos is beyond the entryway. "Head out without me" you text and "absolutely" you say.

This place has some amazing craft beers my favorite being the triple IPA Called "MIJO" it's top notch! If you're looking for food the pizza place across the hall is super good, they have odd hours but definitely worth a try! Bar seats about 10-12 and then they have a few tables. This place is super duper boutique. Great spot for after lunch if you want to have some great beer and hang with some buddies!!

As I sat in my seat I was ignored by many employees as they were busy with their other tasks and had no time for me.

As a designer, from the first moment I saw the Zona Pilsner can in a store I was obsessed and knew I needed to take a trip to 12 West Brewing first hand. I was so excited to see that all their other cans matched the beauty and fun of the pilsner! Many people say not to judge a book by its cover, but I will confirm that the unique flavors within the cans 100% live up to the eye catching outside. If you haven't visited yet, be sure to do so. Not only will you enjoy some great beer, but you'll surely love visiting the other makers of Barnone.

KLAX!! It's fantastic! 12 West is going to need more space in it's tasting room if they keep making such quality beer. I love that you can order food at one of the vendors in Barnone and eat it while trying a 12 West beer. Keep up the quality brewing!

Great beers! Would recommend this brewery to anyone in the area. There are not that many microbreweries here in Arizona. This one is in an extremely cool location. The atmosphere is awesome! I can be here for hours, drinking beer on the patio with friends and family. There beers are very solid beers!

We had such a wonderful experience at this place. They allow you to bring in food from other places in the compound which has numerous restaurants. They brew the most amazing beer and have a great selection. Our favorite are IPA's and they have 4 or 5 different styles of this delicious brew. The bartender was not only super nice but shared the history of how this Brewery came to be. We will be back!

It took my wife and I a good minute to find the place at night from the parking lot, but, after walking through the long building full of artisanal businesses, we finally found it and weren't disappointed. They have a creative list of original beers on tap. I'm not sure if the actual beers are original or if the descriptions ingeniously make each one sound unique, but it will make you will want to try each one to find out for yourself. We had two pints outside in their patio and enjoyed them both. The brewery was "Packed!" as my wife would say but we were still able to find a nice place outside to stand with our beers.

I came cross 12 West really on accident once, from a quick Yelp search of breweries in the vicinity, and was pleasantly surprised at the location of this place. Squished up next to an amazing pizzeria, inside a quonset with other local vendors, you can get your drink on and devour a pizza at the same time. But I won't go into the pizza now - the BEER is epic. Most recently I stopped in for a cold one after a hot bike ride on the trail. It's just a short bit off of a canal trail in Gilbert. There is bike parking outside between the brewery and the wine cellar and a great patio to sit outside. I picked out a few for a sample flight a couple of times, the K-Lax and the Fox on the Shelf stand out as the exceptional flavors in the bunch both times. In fact, there were some beers on the flight (forgot which ones now) that I really had a hard time even finishing. But K-Lax is perfect for a post-ride hot day beer, and Fox on the Shelf is my personal favorite and leaves a powerful caramel after-note on your tongue and I really just can't get enough. There's a water tap inside, cups provided, and even board games for hanging out on a warm afternoon. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and great for recommendations and the crowd here is always pleasant, plus its located in a nice little green spot next to citrus trees. But did I mention you can just walk over and order a pizza to go with your beer? Really, 12 West has it all, and I'm picky about my beers, especially Arizona beers and the two aforementioned beers are top notch.

Came back again on the weekend! The patio was so nice and the place next door had live music to listen too. There were also tacos, quesadillas, and more right outside you could have made fresh in front of you. Prices were good great and the food was also really good!! This place is my new Go To!

Loved this place. They have a great outdoor space where we sat with our dog and drank our beers. We ordered four beers, all with happy hour pricing $1 off each. Loved all four. Definitely recommend!!

Prime Location, Great Beer & Friendly service!!! I was pleasantly greeted by Tyler who was serving up the beer tonight. He was very friendly and was quick to recommend me trying all of the IPA's so I could have a better understanding of what I wanted. There was no pushiness at all which is very much appreciated because that is something that turns me off right away. He was patient and did not mind me trying the beers. I ordered the New England IPA (forget the name) but it was very good and fit the description perfectly. I also enjoyed watching the NBA finals they had playing on a couple of the flat screens. The place is very chill and dim lighting allow for a relaxing time to just sit back and enjoy a cool one. There is also an outside patio area with nice seating and plenty of room to sit and watch the sunset.

I cook a lot with Beer. Always looking for something new. This place is A must try for everyone. The dishes are creative. Don't expect the norm. Expect to be amazed. This place is beyond awesome. You will be stunned. Can't wait to return.

First time visiting. First impressions was a great staff, very friendly. It is an extremely small place and seems to be a hot spot for the for families.... A lot of kids. Very limited seating. Place was very clean. Can only order beer, but there is pizza you can order next door and they bring it to your table. The pizza was good. Not sure I would come back.

Cool place for someone who doesn't care for cookie cutter bars and brewery's. Very chill place to grab some suds. Not a Bro bar witch is great! The bros took over seattle and it's not cool keep bros away from cool stuff.

We held our sons rehearsal dinner at 22 West and everyone was amazing! From the first time when we met Matt and had a tour of the restaurant to paying the bill the night of the event we were completely impressed. We met with Matt to look at the possible rooms to hold our event. He was so patient in answering every question we had and letting us know options for sound. The restaurant has a cool vibe. There is an underground area we could use for the dinner or an outdoor mezzanine which is where we chose to do the dinner. We went two times before the event to have dinner and try the food. The food was so yummy both times we went and I had high hopes for the event! The day of the event we met Sean who was the manager on duty that day. He was so helpful and so very nice and patient as I asked more questions about the evening and trying to figure out last minute details. The food was served buffet style and once again the food was amazing! Their Chef certainly deserves kudos for doing a catering menu and a restaurant menu and doing a fabulous job! Every one at 12 West was so professional, helpful and so kind! If I have another event to do I would most definitely go back to 12 West! Thank you Matt, Sean and everyone on the team who helped make the dinner perfect!!

Such a cool concept! 12 West is housed in the co-op Barnone building with several other small local businesses, and is literally "just" a brewery, meaning they do not serve food at all. The neighboring Fire & Brimstone pizza place is a great option, and I've heard you can also bring in outside food (have never done this myself though, so can't confirm). The beers themselves are always realllllly good and inventive. They had a strawberry vanilla triple IPA not too long ago that was to die for, and they always have some amazing nitro stout on tap also. The space is very low-key and has a great vibe also. Grab a beer, order a pizza, and sit outside for a great date night!

What a great place! It's inside of a Quonset hut in Gilbert. Their beer is phenomenal. The K-Lax is a fruity IPA without too much bitter. My favorite was the Sunday Morning Saison. It's super smooth and well, just lovely. The vibe is super fun and you can eat phenomenal food from Fire and Brimstone next door or bring in outside food. Super chill and awesome beer. We will be back!

This is the best brewery in Gilbert. They make great IPA's and the service is very attentive. Their sours and stouts are also delicious. Fire and brimstone and Joe's both have great food next door.
