Yelp
Cute little spot right next to the Sheraton off of Canal. Went on a Friday night. Nice vibes with the lights dimmed, the music playing not too loud and the vintage VHS playing on the old school oversized TV. There is an area where you can play console games on the TV. There are some vintage arcade games and some card & board games as well. Now let's talk about food. I am a food lover but what's more important is customer service. If you have an amazing product or great food but bad service that's a zero out of five for me but this place...customer service was great. One couple in front of us was ordering when we entered and he (the staff) was patient while we looked over the menu then answered all of our questions respectfully. The food was amazing too. I mean soooo good. We will definitely visit this place again next time we are in town.

Yelp
I stopped by in October for a quick coffee and breakfast. The place is a little janky but I like all the nostalgia games and decor. We got coffee, mini beignets ($5), and banana foster ($13) and they were all solid. The place was packed with lots of people waiting around, but it didn't take too long to get our order (whereas some people that ordered alcoholic drinks had a huge wait for some reason). The beignets were small but nice, light, and crispy with good powdered sugar. The banana foster was a huge portion and also very tasty.

Yelp
This is a very cool and hip coffee shop at Barb. They have video games, and old time favorite games and relics around the entire small place. The avocado toast with egg was okay, nothing to write home about. Avocado toast felt like a day old. It seemed like people were really enjoying the shrimp and grits and the service was good.

Yelp
This place was such a fun stop! We actually went to brunch next door and made it a point to stop in this place the next day. Aside from all the tea and coffee selections they do have alcoholic drinks. Also some beignets! We ordered some drinks and had a seat. Then we went to go get change to play some games and quickly realized they're all free after purchasing something! What a great concept! The workers were super friendly and we probably ended up staying and hour and playing some fun games. This cafe is definitely worth the stop - if not for the games then just for the 90's themed EVERYTHING! It's such a cool and safe space. Wish I had a place like this closer to home!

Yelp
Food was good, and loved the ambiance of the place. My kids enjoyed playing the vintage games (Ms PacMan was her favorite) for free

Yelp
A total vibe! Nostalgia Coffee in New Orleans is a hidden gem that feels like stepping straight into a time machine destination: the '90s and early 2000s. From the second you walk in, you're hit with the coolest wave of nostalgia. Think old-school arcade games, funky posters, neon lights, and the perfect mix of throwback tunes playing in the background. Coffee was so good & I wish I was back in NOLA to go back!

Yelp
Really poor customer service and the baristas didn't seem like they wanted to be there or interact with customers. It was our first time there and was not an enjoyable experience, unfortunately won't be returning because the drink was nasty too.

Yelp
The service was okay- possibly due to short staffed, I could tell the barista was overwhelmed. She had to do several things at once. I could tell she did her best. The ambience was fun, several video arcade game to play, fun concept. Our kids loved it The food was subpar- they didn't have many of the items on the menu... they serve the menu the whole day- the beignets, fries, and catfish were soggy. The gumbo was watery. The Cortado was good. I do not recommend coming for the food... come for the drinks and the Arcadia games!

Yelp
If you are not a local and have some down time Nostalgia is a great place to kick it. They have some really nostalgic items like vintage arcade games, VHS tapes and decor that will trigger 80s babies feels and they have music to go along with it which is cool. Barista was cool and helpful and the drink was "meh" we ordered a chai tea and it was pre made. We were expecting something made on the spot. So maybe stick to coffee if you want something made there. The main reason to come here would be to play some arcade games listen to the music and just go down memory lane. They had the classic Ninja Turtles, NFL blitz, NBA 2k, PacMan just to name a few. Just buy an item to get access to the games and enjoy your time there.

Yelp
The staff was nice and the vibe was cool. However! The service was incredibly slow. We waited over 10 minutes for 2 coffee drinks that were expensive! Also, we were the only people in the place. It's nice to play PacMan again, but only if the drinks came faster.

Yelp
Cute retro coffee shop. There's video gaming if you want to check it out. I came in for my morning coffee and they have over 30 different flavors. They brewed a fresh coffee for my friend and me. The service was so impeccable. They were funny and sweet. I got the lavender honey latte and it was so good! I would come back for another flavor. I'm so glad I stumbled upon this location!

Yelp
They make the best specialty tea in the FQ! Their chocolate-covered strawberry flavored tea is by far the most delicious tea around. Order the grits if you go, because theirs are the creamiest and best tasting!

Yelp
What a cute little coffee shop with old video games to play for free. The coffee was delicious and the service was friendly. We ordered a breakfast burrito which was so delicious and perfectly made, although it took a long time to make but was worth it!

Yelp
Kayden was great and very hospitable! I'll definitely return it's a 90's dream and the decor is on point! The espresso martini was 10/10!

Yelp
Great coffee and croissant. I could spend all day playing the games in there. What a cool place!

Yelp
Great coffee selections , great atmosphere. There are allot of ways to enjoy your coffee, which can be a bit of a challenge if your not an experienced coffee drinker .. That's another reason why I loved this spot. There website actually breaks down the different styles of making coffee I ended up getting the " black eye" on ice.. Had a chance to meet the lady's who own the spot on my visit. Great coffee, locally ran, black owned establishment. https://www.nostalgianola.com/

Yelp
Not my favorite coffee shop that I stopped in while in Nola but I did love the nostalgia of the old school arcade games. I was originally aiming to stop at a different shop but they weren't open before 8 on a Saturday. So when I saw Nostalgia was right around the corner from the conference hotel location I decided why not. I went in hoping to get coffee and breakfast but sadly they didn't have breakfast items until later in the day so a unique coffee drink was all I could get. It was good but overly sweet and the barista wasn't the most pleasant.

Yelp
Happened to stumble across this shop since our rental was so close. Tried coffees all over the city and this was my favorite. Tried different drinks everyday and each one did not disappoint. They had a live dj Sunday night and we came in just to hang out before bedtime with our toddler. Customer service is top notch and the arcade games are a hit for the whole family. Must try!

Yelp
Everything about this place made me feel like a kid again at 44 years young! Owner Jerry was so super sweet in explaining the menu while I am a new to "fancier" coffees! (Black coffee with sugar or milk, growing up) Ended up getting a pastry as well which was tasty with flavor and not bland.

Yelp
First time in NOLA for work/fun. This cafe when I googled boozy cafes offered them and very close to my hotel. Fudge...absolutely amazing!! Even the owner came in and he was a good guy as well. Loved the atmosphere, loved my espresso martini! Hope to see you guys again when I visit again!

Yelp
What's not to love about a coffee shop that thrust you back to the 90s! The art work and creative placement mixed with nostalgic games, movies and music sets a fun, carefree environment to sip and enjoy coffee/tea. I enjoyed the tea and the music was also a great addition. The owner was also here when I came and was very welcoming and knowledgeable on the coffee. Nostalgia has a vast variety for tea and coffee ! I will definitely be back when I am in New Orleans.

Yelp
This place is worth your time and then some! We had the misfortune of getting here late when all the grits were gone for the shrimp & grits. But the chef came out and after debating other menu options, he went back to the kitchen and whipped up some more just for us. The arcade games are great, and the vibes are so laid back and fun. Just swing by. You won't regret it!

Yelp
This coffee shop was so cool! They had tons of games, and it was good vibes. The coffee was a 10/10!!! And the baristas were so kind! I had the pumpkin chai coffee and it was honestly the best pumpkin coffee I've had! My sister and brother had the brown sugar bae coffee, and the cinnamon toast crunch coffee and they were also good! Highly recommend this place!
google avatar

Cherish L.

Yelp
This place is a VIBE!!! The owner is amazing. The menu is creative and I had one of the best Chai's ever.My children had the Cinnamon toast coffee it was really good. We were taken back in time and relived some of our best 90's moments. I highly recommend! Support Nostalgia NOLA!

Yelp
Best coffee I had all d*** week! They had so many flavors of syrups and the best vibes. Every other coffee I ordered in NOLA was milk, with a litttttlle bit of coffee, but this was wonderful. Go for the coffee, stay and play a game. Great service as well, I asked the barista for a suggestion for flavor and he hooked me up with a white chocolate/lavender iced latte... y'all... be sure to check them out!!

Yelp
Nostalgia in the best ways! Arcade games and good coffee and nice ambiance and friendly staff? Can't ask for more. 90s kids will be most vulnerable to the cultural totems but fun for anyone.

Yelp
This place was super cool and so much fun! Had a iced hibiscus tea which was great, and played Pac-Man and Ninja Turtles..Really took me back. Staff was super friendly as well.

Yelp
Had high hopes for this place. Vibes are fine but there are boxes and and random storage all over the place. The barista didn't know what was in one of the 4 items on the food menu. Maybe he was training but the more senior guy he asked confidently got it wrong. Food was cold and looked like my kid made it and when I asked for another it took 1 hour to get this basic sandwich. Coffee was fine. Good concept, poor execution. Also 2$ for a cup of water

Yelp
I have ended my vacation because I am moving in here (just kidding). Staying in the area, looked up coffee shops, and this place was higher rated than anywhere in walking distance. I saw what it was, full of my childhood everything, and we made it our top priority of where to go next. I walked in and nearly cried. Everywhere you look (Full House reference for you), it's the 90s and some 80s. The decor is so cool, some of it really subtly nerdy, and I felt at home immediately. We got a large oat milk latte to split which wasn't the best I've ever had but it was good and honestly, the entire experience was magical. There are VHS tapes in multiple areas including an old tv cart like you had in school, the players are Mario, there's 90s style squiggles on the walls, collages of musicians, fuzzy benches, VIDEO GAME CONSOLES, hanging lights made from teacups and saucers, funky furniture, I could keep going. It's only 3 months old and I know this place is going to do very well. Avery was our barista and super lovely, we played some video games and hung out in the little funky lounge area. I didn't wanna leave, and wish I had a place like this closer to home. Literally anywhere you look there's something cool and memory inducing. I cannot wait to come back and am looking forward to seeing what events they put on (they just had their first one).

Yelp
Great ambiance and very friendly staff. We came in to escape a rainy day and were really pleasantly surprised to find such a cute place. We got the cinnamon toast latte and beignet latte (both hot) which were delicious and really hit the spot. It also turned out that this was their first week open as a full cafe so it was cool to meet the chef and hear about the transition from a coffee shop to cafe. The mini beignets, gumbo, and crawfish étouffée were all on point as well. I really recommend it both for the taste and a unique experience.

Yelp
This neighborhood coffee shop offers some of the most exciting coffee and tea flavors in Nola. My London fog customized with strawberry chocolate tea and strawberry milk foam was a delight! Definitely not the average cookie cutter coffee shop!
google avatar

Dilu A.

Yelp
I had an amazing ice coffee with hint or rose and rosemary. So delicious. The service is phenomenal and helpful when it came to selecting what I wanted to drink. And while we waited the very short wait we were entertained by the free games that were available to play! And if that's not your thing take a seat and enjoy the 90's music and vibe!!!

Yelp
Definitely nothing exciting here. Terrible service and very lackluster coffee. I get what they are going for, but many places have done this much better.

Yelp
Delicious coffee, lattes, matcha with a 80's and 90's vibe! The owner and the staff are very friendly so you can spend all day here

Dee L.

Yelp
This is a nice spot that offers free games and chill spot in the CBD! Coffee , lattes, Italian ice and savory brunch! Will definitely be back. The owners let me know they will start karaoke nights and parties soon! Service & food was great!
google avatar

Yelp
The person working the front was efficient, friendly and patient. The cold brew with flavor was good, the food is massive for the price, and the there is a nice place to sit and relax. Love the game options. Someone was playing a game when I walked in and they seemed happy.

Yelp
Super cute coffee shop and great coffee. Light fixtures are coffee cups. Standup arcade games too. Comfortable atmosphere to sip your coffee and escape the heat. Thanks to the staff this morning for good service too.

Garett M.

Yelp
Superior Service for a fast coffee and breakfast in the morning. A nostalgic interior setting with arcades, VHS tapes, and anime themes. Set up for a nice afternoon hangout with coffee, tea, food, and cocktails. Easy to use rewards system that grants a free small drink after just 5 simple points.

Yelp
Games and great coffee? So good. I really enjoyed the cappuccino. Expertly done and light, exactly how it should be. Oat milk available.

Tiffany C.

Yelp
Nostalgia NOLA was such an amazing experience. As a millennial it gave 90s vibes and when I tell the drinks are sooo good! Get Nostalgia Punch. Jerry the owner was so kind and he had AMAZING SERVICE! You have to stop by here!
google avatar

Yelp
Cute little coffee shop. Great service. The coffee was really good too without the long lines at the chain place.

Yelp
Was a great place to visit during the cold mardi Gras days. They had loose leaf tea, coffee and some bakery items. The service can be slow depending on who serving.

Yelp
my wife and I travel to New Orleans probably once a month and have for the last few years. We both agree that nostalgia is by far our favorite coffee shop in the Crescent city... From the outstanding coffee to all of the throwback decor. but more importantly, the courtesy and friendliness of Jerry and his staff, which is second to none. From our first experience over a year ago, as Jerry was flipping the sign to close up shop one evening at 5 o'clock, which we did not realize was closing time however, he was kind enough to open the store to serve us a coffee, which then carried over into a 30 minute conversation, and now every weekend day that we spend in New Orleans is started off with a cup of coffee from nostalgia!!!

Michael P.

Yelp
Excellent coffee, friendly staff, and a great 90s atmosphere with lots of the classic arcade games.

Sharon K.

Yelp
Very good coffee and pastries . Fun 90's inspired atmosphere . Fun arcade games to play. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Emily P.

Yelp
My dad and I just spent a few nights in New Orleans, and we happened to be staying across the street from Nostalgia--lucky us!! This spot has great coffee, great decor, great vibes. We were too busy sight-seeing to hangout and play the games, but Jerry&co. were all so friendly, and everybody gave us great recommendations. We stopped in each day we were in town and will definitely be back next visit.
