The 17 Best Bakeries In Miami - Miami - The Infatuation

"Tropical Corner is a Brazillian bakery on the excellent eating strip of 163rd Street. They’ve got lots of sweets like pastel de nata, brigadeiros, and huge slabs of Brazilian cakes. But their savory items are what makes us want to hire one of those banner planes and advertise this place to all of Miami-Dade County—specifically the pastels. The ones at Tropical Corner are thin, crispy little envelopes of pure joy. They have different filling options, including one with a creamy heart of palm mixture. In case it wasn’t clear, we think you should order one of those, but this place also has sandwiches, coxinha, and pão de queijo (which often sell out by lunch). It’s small and takeout-friendly, but there’s some counter seating inside." - Ryan Pfeffer, Carlos C Olaechea

Yelp
OMG! The portion sizes are ginormous. I thought I was going to be getting the typical small pieces of wings we always get from large franchises. Nope! These were full chicken wings and pieces. Great hospitality as you walk in cashier had a pleasing smile and greeting. As I was eating she even ran over some food for neighboring businesses. Something you just won't see in typical businesses here in America. If you like Kpop music they got tunes jamming as you are waiting for your order or dinning in. Would be nice if they had a bigger dinning area but I don't mind as hidden gems usually have limited seating. I'd definitely recommend getting the MC Chicken and then adding sauces on the side to taste their exotic flavors. My favorite was Mania Lemon flavor! But there are so many to choose from. I'd love to try all the flavors but my stomach is too small. Hehe Also don't forget the delicious Ube brownie. So good!

Yelp
We were craving some wings this holiday season and too lazy to venture out into crazy traffic so opted for some insane priced delivery options. Noticed all the 5-star Yelper reviews and decided to give CM Chicken a try. We opted for your basic CM Fried Chicken Wings and order of Popcorn Shrimp. All and all verdict was Wings were Very Good, not exactly "ballin" but very good and hit the spot with nice seasoning and just the right crunch to chicken factor for Korean wings and not greasy. Guess it's all relative to how often and whether you've had Korean Fried chicken in other parts of the U.S. or traveling through S. Korea. The Popcorn Shrimp was just ok, doubt would order again. Not much thought given to delivery packaging, everything arrived barely lukewarm; guess that's the standards these days? The Grubhub driver couldn't find our apartment address for some odd reason, so left the delivery package down the hall by the elevator, so subtracting a star for subpar delivery experience. Back to the insane priced delivery option, all and all for just 8 wings and small box of popcorn shrimp set us back about $50, and that's with an Amazon Prime discount promo running on GrubHub; that's probably equivalent to 2-3 whole chickens, lol. Know we're living in these inflationary times, but again, Wings weren't like, "call your momma back home lickin' good" so not sure if it's value equivalency here; you judge. Perhaps we'll try an in-store visit, if in the area next time. But do give them a try, always want to support local businesses trying to make it in the crazy restaurant game.

Yelp
We went there today and it was delicious. The woman who helped us was knowledgeable and friendly. Some of the best fried chicken I have had. It was crunchy, hot and not greasy at all! It is in a run down strip mall but don't let that food. It is worth stopping!

Yelp
The place is small but clean. I guess this place is mainly for takeout. The young lady was friendly and we chatted a bit. We ordered two different chicken and both were so yummy. They came out hot and juicy. For sure, we will be back!

Yelp
Not sure how long this place has been open but I'm sure soon it will become super busy. The cashier is such a sweetheart and so knowledgeable. I asked soooo many questions about the food and so broke everything down and helped me decide. Customer service 10/10 You can sit in to eat if you like, but the place is small so it's best to sit and watch a little K pop on the tv screen while you wait for your food to go. Ambiance 8/10 if you looking to sit and eat 10/10 if you want to go. My strawberry tea was not as fruity or sweet as I expected but it was decent. I would try another flavor next time. The young lady suggested mango as the best. My chicken exceeded my expectations. It was fresh, juicy, crunchy, flavorful and had a perfect little kick. I tried a bite of pickled radish with a bite of chicken and it was good. I will be returning to try other flavors as well as their Ube brownie. Food 9/10

Yelp
Yay we finally have a Korean Fried Chicken place in Miami!! CM has another location up in Davie but glad not to have to drive past the county line for some delicious chicken! Choong Man is a chain from Korea, which is known for their special technique of tikkudak -- finishing fried by baking in a charcoal oven for extra crisp and crunch and a nice smoky note. Which explains why, if you visit their website, you'll see a picture of fried chicken on a fire grill. The shop is in the same strip mall as Bamboo Garden and a few other Asian shops on 163 St. It's mostly take out, with only a counter and 4 chairs for eating in. It was our first visit, and the staff was really nice in explaining the menu and helping us pack our leftover when we left. You can order the chicken as whole or half, or as wings, tenders and drumsticks. My favorite part of a chicken is thigh, which curiously is missing here. There are also items like tteokbokki, calamari and shrimp, and bubble tea for drinks. If you come during weekday they have lunch specials as well. Needless to say, you have to order fried chicken here. They have several flavors like garlic soy, curry, cheese, snow onion (a tangy white sauce w sliced onion). For the fried chicken I would say it's among the best I've tasted in Miami. Piping hot inside, juicy and tender, with a crunchy but light breading. The shell is not too hard, and the meat is not dry. Really well done. The sauce adds a lot to the flavor too. Garlic soy, though not suggested in the name, actually has a bit of kick to it. What's KFC if not a bit fiery? The chicken comes with a small amount of Mu radish - pickled daikon that helps to tame the fire and cleanse your palate.

Yelp
I have been to multiple locations of CM chicken and I'm happy they opened one closer to Miami. There's not much seating area which is my only complaint if I wanted to eat there, but all the servers are friendly. The chicken is closest thing to authentic Korean Fried Chicken in South Florida.

Yelp
So excited to find another halal spot in Miami! And the Korean Fried Chicken here is so good! We loved the spicy garlic flavor. The chicken is very tender and flavorful. Service is fantastic and so sweet and helpful. We'll definitely be back.

Yelp
A great place to dine if you like no contact service as they have adorable robots that bring you the food. You order online and the robots will come out. The chicken was super tasty and the sauce was on point. The fries were great but I wish I had a sauce to dip them in. It's definitely a go-to spot!

Yelp
New Spot Alert North Miami Beach! If you love chicken If you love crispy chicken If you love chicken with PLENTY of flavor THIS IS YOUR SPOT! The garlic spicy wings were truly amazing and the perfect amount of spice. The snow original chicken is a MUST get! Fries were ok. First time having bubble tea and the passion fruit tea was SOOOO GOOD! And I finished it with a brownie and she even offered to warm it up for me, come on who doesn't like a warm brownie. Great spot can't wait to come back and try the chicken sandwich. 8.7 out of 10

Yelp
First time visited here on the 19th because I was craving Korean chicken: I love how clean and tidy their restaurant here. Their employees are very cordial! I believe they have 2 tables to dine in here. My order was a 5-piece Drumstick CM style and Monster Cheese Fries. The cashier asked if I liked any other condiments such as ketchup, mustard, etc. The chicken and fries were super delish! Thanks, CM Chicken!

Yelp
Found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a shot, because I was craving fried chicken. The chicken had good amount of flavor, and surprisingly it wasn't that oily considering majority of Korean chicken spots have their chicken drenched in grease. Very crunchy and juicy. Glad I tried it out. Good place. Wish them the best!

Yelp
When I tell you these snow onion original drum sticks from CM chicken was a 10 out of 10 I mean it!!! Somebodies Korean Grandma is cooking in the kitchen! #foodporn #koreanchicken #cmchicken

Yelp
One of the best chicken places I've ever had. I was craving wings one weekend and found this place on my favorite app(Yelp of course). I am now persuaded to trying the entire menu due to my first time eating here. The chicken is immaculate. Well cooked and the flavors are very finger licking worthy. I'm not a fan of their straight fries. I feel it could use a little more salt but their curly fries are really good. Second time around I order mozzarella sticks just to see what that was like and it was around the 7.5 out of 10 area. They were good but I'll probably look for a different alternative next time I order. Whenever I eat at good places it always takes me awhile to write since I catch the itis after I eat. So I made sure I wrote this one the day after the second time around. I also like the price point of the food. Food is getting expensive but $14 for their wings the price is pretty worth it. The restaurant is very clean but it's just one of those places that if there is someone there eating at the restaurant it'll be hard to also find space to eat. It's Korean inspired and you can see flashes of that from walking in. I can say easily this is my new favorite chicken spot. (P.S.) - If the owner sees this, could I get more sauce? Lol One sauce for 8 wings is diabolical

Yelp
Best fried chicken. I've tried many restaurants around the city and this is my favorite by far!

Yelp
This place was really excellent from the food to the service. The girl at the front desk really knew what she was doing and answered. Any questions related to recommendations. The chicken was crispy and very meaty and flavorful. We had the one with the onions on the top, and that sauce is delectable. The chicken tenders were hit and very meaty and definitely hit the spot. We also tried the garlic soy Chicken wings, which were also a top choice. I would definitely hit this place up again for some fried chicken hit all the cravings would like to try some other flavors next time but I would give this place five out of five. The only thing that would deter you is that there's not much seating area, so it might be better to order this place for pick up.

Aklesso A.

Yelp
Gotta get the cheese fries, best fries I've ever had. The garlic soy and the garlic spicy wings are my favorite. Place was so good i went back the next day for more . If you're looking for a nice sit down place this isn't the spot, but great food and boba you'll enjoy it!

Yelp
Have been curious since driving by every day. Decided to stop in Sunday evening. I had no idea what to expect. ordered soy garlic wings and sweet potato fries. Had to wait about 15 minutes but it was worth the wait. Different and delicious.

Yelp
When I tell you this is the best fried chicken I've ever had, I'm not exaggerating. I've tried several flavors but the snow onion is by far the best. Also great customer service, can't go wrong here.

Yelp
Best korean fried chicken place in Miami! Originally started in Lauderhill, they opened a store front for pick up and takeout, small but their menu is awesome, they also serve bobba and the most delicious ube brownies, a must try

Yelp
A South Korean franchise that appears to maintain their high quality across all locations: I discovered them in Chicago where the competition for spicy Korean wings is fierce, But here in South Florida, IMO these are easily the best of this style available ....although they have quite a variety of options, for me the Spicy Garlic is the perfect combo of sweet and hot, as it should be, and the packaging keeps the wings hot, crisp and juicy. ..Take out or delivery only at this joint, tucked away in an unassuming strip mall on 163rd...worth finding .

Yelp
It was my first time here at CM chicken in NMB. I got the Soy chicken sandwich with fries and it was delicious. The staff was helpful and pleasant. Definitely, I'll be back for more in the future.

Alvaro S.

Yelp
Best fried chicken sandwich I've ever had. The service was excellent. Extremely attentive and patient while describing the menu. They talk pride in their product and will definitely be back. It's a hole in the wall, but it's only a matter of time before they blow up.

Carrie H.

Yelp
A good takeout place. People are extremely nice there. Fried chicken was good but I will suggest to get either the drumsticks, wings or tenders only. We got the 1/2 chicken but wish we ordered the 5 pc drumsticks instead because it was really good.

Emshiine M.

Yelp
This was some great fried chicken and fairly priced compared to other Korean fried chicken spots I've been to

Michael Z.

Yelp
Owner was really nice I would recommend this place if you're in the area. The crispy exterior was very flavorful and the meat was tender. The soy mild flavor was delicious each bite was a symphony of taste and texture. The chicken gizzards are a must try item.
